This is going nowhere. The forum is full of spam and negativity. The game is full of boredom and stupidity. We've got another weak event coming next week for magus cotd. At least he won't be nerfed a week after the event(he's already useless).

Sparton, can you please give us some reassurance that BNW and night city are being worked on. I'm on the edge of walking away from this game for the 2nd time now. How many players have to walk away before you guys get the message?

How many of these guys are still around? 2 or 3? How many will be left in another 6 months?

We have had something every week for awhile now not every event can be an Oh my god block buster event. We all know immortal soul event was great and I think the anniversary week was great too. We can't have mega events every week or some players won't have the resources to partake in them and then people would bitch about that too. If the event isn't for you don't participate in it, its as simple as that.

So, I'm not as chatty here, as it's summer and things are busy, but.... my two cents, the arena daily buys were fun. I played a lot more this week because of. The events are fun, and we have to remember, not everyone has been playing a year, some are for noobs.

Keeping a game going without new content is the real issue imo. Not to dog on NF, but throw up some fun worlds in the old skull quest slots, something that makes it seem like we have new worlds to play. Make it priority to get those other worlds open. New characters are fun, and must be the easiest thing to do, but I haven't spent money in a month at least, and I imagine is the same for other long term players. Keep us spending.

In general I agree with you, but just think it could have been for a more useful toon. Maybe I'm wrong, but this toon isn't going to help newer players very much. Not in the arena anyway. Nobody uses this toon for a reason. Maybe a buff is in the plans?

I've pulled a few of these in the past. I do have her on the bench, and the event would be sacrifice fodder for me.

while i agree i would rather choose a toon that really helps casual players. so maybe red pyro, or the other COTD. this toon is really weak and no way it will help a bunch of people. the only nice thing about the blue COTD is that it looks damn cool. that said not every event can be awesome, but maybe it shouldn't be so raggy too :)

I'm just concerned that they're putting priority on things like this rather than addressing the bigger issues. We know the game is full of bugs. I appreciate that they're spending a lot of time and resources on straightening that out. I'm not a computer guy, but my guess is the game at it's core is a mess. It's probably a nightmare for them. So I try not to complain about that, but why is there a complete gag order on talking about BNW or NC. The devs can't or won't even mention it anymore. Why? This lack of information is what's driving me away. If something about it really isn't working, why not let us know what's going on? Is it really that big of a deal? If they want to surprise us or something, well, what's the point of that? You can't show up to a birthday party 3 months late and yell "surprise!". We're well past the point of being happy about some surprise unveiling. At least I am. I'd just like to know that it's still happening.

It's a bit too simplistic, misses some factors, but you get the idea.

More importantly: The easier one aspect affects the next, the faster it goes down the spiral.

Hence we, the vocal minority, have some responsibilities in this. This is not to say we should excuse everything but I, for one, adjusted my "negativity" slider way lower than I usual have it. Part of the reason being Iron Maiden, another being I don't believe NF to be solely made of money hungry marketers.

Regarding BNW and NC, I'm no NF staff but I can assure you they are being worked on. They said first half of 2017 last time they gave an ETA and are late, but it's coming.
While searching the forum extensively for minor stuff that are being worked on (http://forum.ironmaidenlegacy.com/showthread.php?6835-Incoming-minor-features-and-bug-fixes), I came across several references to those new areas.

Regarding current event, I'm not a fan of this type and I'm glad they not holding one for a toon everyone would use (diversity).

Yep, you two and eagleknight's been around casually. Haven't seen him on the forums though. Magus cotd is one of the coolest looking characters, but sadly pretty useless. Maybe this time we'll get a buff after the event instead. There's some positivity for the forum. :)

What if they made it so players could create content? Was thinking about something like that earlier today. Something like a turf game mode with its own currency. You get to pick the stage, the sound track, the toons. You get more of the related currency raiding others' turf, you spend it unlocking more options. Including (limited) modifiers to turn bad toons into bosses. Fun being the focus here, winning or losing shouldn't matter a lot. Since you wouldn't get much from doing this, a run should cost at most 3 SoT, be limited per day, and be a nice place to run troopers for cheap if only that.

How would NF profit from this? It would be an incentive to develop fun rather than good toons, throwing resources at them.

If I find the time to put together a few mockups I'll post that suggestion.

I agree it seems the wrong character to have an event for, I've sacrificed a few and the one I'm keeping has never seen anything other than the bullpen. ;) Still plan to grab a couple for the pit.

I'm hoping that maybe next week brings something new. End of the tour event or new content? Part of their release schedule is tied to contractual obligations, so could be something in the works.

With the new missions they did introduce the gunner pharaoh dog with fragments. :D I'd rather they put their resources towards BNW if that's what's next. Keep your fingers crossed that'll be end of tour event.

I've been on on here long enough at this point to remember we had a vocal majority at one point that did speak up, hell the community as a whole were almost screaming, yet the dev team chose not to listen. That has gotten us here along with the revolving door of long time players walking away because this is the very state they warned would happen. I really hate to say and didn't think I would see this game push me to the point of ever thinking about quitting. Even though I don't really have the toons to compete in pvp like I did I do it with what ive got. I have noticed past 3 weeks ive been able to hover where I used to, so incentive there, but i do not get the rewards that i should due to being unable to achieve rank. It just really saddens me that for the effort the devs put into "new" content every week it only draws out further all the rest of the broken things. Basic things that should have been fixed long ago, that is my idea of game improvement not constant change to toon abilities. I guess when you have to relearn how to play according what abilities are nerfed/buffed in updates could be lumped into new content category (sarcastically typed). Well off my soapbox for now to go grind this useless blue thing up in case a buff comes along. Peace

It^s on their fb page. It starts tomorrow at reset and runs for 3 days. My guess is that it will be much like the NBoL event. So, it'll be farm Lol levels and probably the same low drop rates as that one.

This event sucks for anyone above level 20. But at least we'll get a good amount of sacrifice from it, and after the last few events, I have plenty of characters that can benefit from farming some LOL. Essentially, this is a guaranteed 5* sacrificial heart after you power it up. And those below level 20 will get a new toon that might keep them playing the game, so that's a plus. Unless they throw away some skill shards on it, then they'll get really pissed and quit!

Last was Wnbol and i had 2 or 3 before the event = useless
That time magus cotd, never had any cotd since the beginning of the game and some weeks before i had 2 magus cotd and not others = totally useless event for me again ^^
The good event is : you win one "NO DUPE" characters.

Out of sheer boredom I sharded this guy and have forced myself to use him on my attack team this week (see Mjmxiii PvP thread). He can be useful with a set of energy talismans and a set of freeze - most teams I've faced stay energy starved - but this can be done with many toons - so all in all - don't do as I did ;) I've simply reached that point where I'm challenging myself due to lack of new content...

I'm all for events that help new or mid-level players, and glad NF is having frequent events. Sometimes we hardcores forget what it was like back then. Newborn? Worth it. Blue CotD? Not worth it.

Immunity is most helpful against SSDs and Green Harpies - exactly the two opponents who will shred this blue bozo due to a class disadvantage. He does do well against Beelze and Red Pyros

I'm weird like that though, my two most wanted chars atm are CG and Beelzebub lmao! AoF and Pris are game changers for sure... even though they both got clipped, still very useful chars. Also, Wrath is one of my new faves. Shard that guy asap if you have him!

It's a very valid point. Obviously it's main purpose is defensive - not offensive - so I'm sure the thought process during the design phase was longer is better.

I really never use the shield - power is almost always better spent elsewhere

There are 4* who perform like 5* (Harpy, Nav Eddie) - and there are 4* who barely earn the designation.

Agreed! If it's not taking down the defensive team, it's probably a wasted effort for the energy. As it stands, it'd probably be better if you could get all shards to land on his basic and nothing on his power move. :cool: Then it could be used as an offensive ability.

Yea, I like Wrath and have fully sharded him, but he isn't very useful against the defense teams of the top players like GMAC, Nicko, Bradata, etc. AoE attackers trigger too many counters...I prefer single hitters. It is slower no doubt, but I am not skilled like the top guys so I take my time.
