Brace Skill

I have saved a few skill shards and now that I'm ready to use a few, I noticed that the green soulless demon's Brace Skill shows "Damage +10%" ad the next level for the skill... However, this is a defensive skill that does not deal damage; is this an error, or does this boost the demon's attack outside of the skill?

It seems like an error. I believe it just boosts the shield amount (of healing?)
