game went from arena to Ailing Kingdom by its own doing?

I was trying to do an arena battle, when I pressed the battle button the button disappeared. I waited to see if it was going to load to arena but nothing. So I tried going through my team buttons which brought the battle button back. Pressed it again with it disappearing and the game again doing nothing. Tried team buttons again and got an error message like ACPL12 or something (it was too brief for me to get it exactly). From here the game went to some level of the Ailing Kindom, a 2nd wave so I completed that, got to the boss and killed him. Got another error message about unable to contact server try again (MACL11). This finally caused the whole game to crash. This is the weirdest bug yet in my experience, wtf is going on with this game lol

Edit - After logging back in it somehow counted as a loss....typical.
