As this is not really a new problem, but I couldn't find it here with the search I'd like to address this issue, because it's getting worse (at least for me).

With the normal souls everything is working fine. You'll get here and there some souls and then you get 99 in one stack and after the number 99 is reached a new stack will open and it will start filling up this new stack.

1.)
This won't work with all the other souls. I have plenty of same souls on separate single stacks. So I reached the max number of stacks which is 50 and now I can't get any new souls without putting them into the converter. That's quite annoying because if they would be all on 99-stacks I would have plenty of open stacks left and even the 99 wouldn't be reached of any but normal souls.

2.)
All the souls are in some random order. Why? Even if they would be on some stacks and not single souls, there is no order. There are some legendary, then some rare, some normal and then again legendary. Why isn't there an order from most worthy on the top to most common souls at the bottom of the list? Or do it like in the character inventory that you can select your own order. But putting souls on stacks would be much more useful if you have to decide which bug will be fixed first.

I think if you reinstall the game the souls will be put into the minimum number of stacks possible.

I don't really see a point of stacking so many. They are already determined what character each soul is the moment you get it right? So what's the point of saving them?

No the characters are determined once you drag the soul in the book of souls not once you receive the soul, so stacking them can give you new characters as they are released.

Well fuck. I thought I read a while back it's determined right when you get the soul, not when it's put in the book... Now i'm even more upset with the game than I already was.

anyway, fisters solution didn't work for me. just reintsalled everything and the souls are still as seperated as they were before. but well, they surely don't want to encourage us to hoard i bet, so not much help on this front is expected ;)

The characters are determined when you claim the souls and not when you summon them BUT when new characters that are included into every soul and not specific only ones are released then stacked souls have a chance to change.

General tip: Keep in mind that they might change into worse characters than before.. ;)

That’s absolutely correct Patrice. To proof it: got Mystic Eddie from a rare soul I got before the character was released in the game. So it couldn’t be decided when I got the soul.

Yes I asked the Devs while ago and they said that toons were allocated only when dropped into Eddie’s mouth and immediately registered against the servers to avoid cheating. Sparton can you confirm?

Yeah, I remember Lotb Matt saying that at the beginning. I tried to find his post in a previous one of these threads, but failed. This debate keeps resurfacing. It’d be nice if the Devs would settle it once and for all.

I also have in mind that souls will be determined in the end and not while they drop. Otherwise you could wait with the shards and collect them later...
But deleting and reinstalling the app does neither help with this bug nor at my other big problem with claiming achievements.

I have like 8 GA souls right now, in about 5 different stacks. I feel your pain haha

And most people are correct, souls switch with updates if unopened. Been brought up enough by now so I can speak freely lol. Devs won't confirm the mechanics for obvious reasons, don't need more people like Shaolin exploiting certain aspects of the game cause they're terrible.

It is only the souls claimed from fragments that cause the problem. All of the others from arena store, trooper store and various rewards stack properly. I never claim the ones from fragments until I drop the others because of this.

That's not 100% correct. If you get souls from sacrifice they sometimes stack also not properly. E.g. when you reach the full amount of this sacrifice meter and you get some skill shards, some legendary souls and so on and they drop on 5 spots. So they won't be put together on one spot. Maybe the first legendary soul (maybe) but all the other legendary souls will create new single stacks. I have so many single stacks...

And I'm not sure if it's working when buying legendary souls once a month in the arena or normal shop with gold.

Had a not so funny experience related to this. Had one big stack with 60+ rare souls and about 9 more as singles. I had also just gotten one of the "claim souls from frags"-achievements so had a stack of 15 g/a souls. Opened the g/a souls all at once, then went to sacrifice them and realised I could add on a 3* toon to get to a higher sacrifice tier. So went back to the Books of Souls to open one of my rare souls stacked as a single. Dragged it to the mouth, and then see that it opened my whole stack of 60+ rare souls. I knew from before that there is a bug that makes different stacks "connected" somehow so I immediately understood what had happened. Because of this bug and because the "open all" box was still checked, it opened all of the souls in the big stack. But because I was on a stack with a single soul, that checkbox didn't even show so I couldn't uncheck it (unless I had first scrolled to a stack with multiple souls of course, but I didn't). So thanks to a bug I opened 60+ souls that I was saving for possible future soul/sacrifice events.

Also, all of them were dupes...

I had the same thing happen a couple of days ago. Had multiple stacks of common souls (about 300 total).
I did a select all on a stack of 7, and all but 1 stack got sacrificed. About 200 souls total sacrificed!

Of course I couldn't even continue to play because I was way over the limit of toons.
I was on a nice roll in the arena at the time, and just trying to get SoW. I just shut it down until Sat morning.

Crap like this should be an easy fix, but it takes months to do, or never gets fixed at all.
