Exalted Sacrifice with no Rare Souls???

I just performed an Exalted Sacrifice.... received :

3 Skill Shards - 2 Legendary Souls- 3 Skill Shards

That's it..

No Rare Souls? No Rare G/A Souls?

I sacrificed hugely powerful characters in the hopes of different powerful characters?

Is this a bug? It is common to sacrifice so much and get relatively so little in return? I could have saved characters for an Ultimate sacrifice if Exalted sucks this much. Heck earlier in the day I got the purple ring reward that had a better return (6 skill shards, 5 Rare G/A souls, 2 Legendary souls).

Wow, that's pretty shitty. I almost did an exalted yesterday too... Now i'm super glad I didn't! It seems like a bug to me, but it's probably just terrible luck.

I did refrain from sacrificing a (duplicate) 12k character so that I could use it for an Ultimate sacrifice later.. so glad I did that now.

If I'm sacrificing strong or important characters I'd go for 40k for double rewards. Or else I'd just throw out dupes for the 20k. 10 4 star G/A toons can give a 40k sacrifice if you spread out 10 skill shards and level them all up.

All in all, this is how I do sacrifice

Warrior, Magus and Sentinel 4*s are good for 20k

Gunner and Assassin 4*s (with shards) are good for 40k

Any Natural 4* Eddie can build up to 40k without skill shards

Anything 5* should only be used for 50

If you are a crazy person, you can use 10 5* Eddies to make a 100k sacrifice which should grant 6 rewards and also cycles an entire ring fill no matter where it's at.

It takes a ton of work and patience to make big sacrifices but it usually pays off.

Exalted 40k:

4* GA Non Eddie (Shards)

Ultimate 50k:
4* GA Eddie (Shards)
