Crush the Dragon King for Soul Fragments to earn a guaranteed 4★ character!

From now until December 4th, 4pm PT, each battle in any of the three Brave New World dungeons has a chance of dropping Valor Soul Fragments. Collect 200 and you can redeem them in the Book of Souls’ Fragments screen for one of the following 4★ characters:


Angel of Fear (4★ Warrior): A strong attacker who can grant your entire team an extra turn if you get the first kill!
Mayan Priestess (4★ Magus): A healer which grants a random ally Endure every turn!
Soulless Demon (4★ Sentinel): A durable attacker who can Taunt multiple enemies!
Hellraiser (4★ Gunner): Automatically starts battle with Echo and can gain Perfect Immunity, Charge, and more!
Death Dog (4★ Assassin): Automatically remove beneficial effects from enemies and can grant his entire team Charge!


For this event, the fragments are guaranteed to drop, and you’ll earn anywhere from 5 to 20 fragments (5 or 10 on lower floors, 10 or 20 on higher). However, if you’re lucky, you could earn 50 fragments from one battle, so don’t be afraid of that 200 requirement! Additionally, you can earn as many Valor Souls as you can collect the fragments for, so aim to grab multiple and try to get the characters you may be missing!

Finally, we have a few deals available in the store to help with getting and leveling up these 4★ characters:


Get a FREE pack of 10 Valor Soul Fragments to start you off!
If time is running out and you’re a few fragments short of a Valor Soul, you can grab a Fragment Boost to get 100 fragments!
Grab the “All Class Power Up Pack”! This provides ironite to help farm more fragments, a bit of gold, 5* XP Shards, and Skill Shards to power up a newly earned character!


Please note that after the conclusion of this event, collecting more Valor Soul Fragments will not be possible, but any extras you have can be converted to Precious Soul Fragments.

I'd be curious to know the thinking behind a player having fully skill sharded, fully talismaned characters and STILL not being able to autoplay some levels of BNW. In addition why do these shitty level cost more SOT? Perhaps you aren't listening to the customer base. I've not seen a single person say they liked playing BNW, in fact just the opposite. Yet you continue to push it as a mandatory part of the game.

I have all the characters and I've sacrificed the death dog so many times I've lost count. None of these characters are decent for PVP except MAYBE the demon... which isn't that rare..... and apparently PvP is ALL NF cares about.

sorry guys, but won't touch bnw, the sot costs are way too high and the cost/reward ratio is still horrible. you decreased the amount of time needed, but that's only one part of the equation. 6 fights per refill is really low regarding the 53 trooper issue. and the higher levels still take too long and are hard to autofarm. so basicly we have to play manually and refill all day for these fragments, no deal this time. the more i play the game the more i like the lord of light dungeons. any chance that you can open them the whole week? the once a week system is kinda outdated i feel. i would open them up like BNW, so that everyone can play their prefered LOL every day. cannot see a problem here, aside the programng stuff of course...

Like Gotn, I only need one toon from this group as well but we all asked for this type of event, a chance to get diff toons vs just chasing one. I've already pulled 3 since last night, drop rates are awesome and I've also landed 2 more rage talismans and some extra counter/echoes. This event is great. Later this month we have the sacrifice event, so this stock up with guaranteed 4*s is perfect.

Also good that the new souls can give us the AoF, good sign, so soon the "bugs" of AoF will be fixed.

I’m glad I have all the characters already and won’t be tempted by this. There is absolutely no way to run all of our troooers on BNW without spending ironite for refills. I’m sick of saying it, but 15 SoT per run is stupid. I don’t understand the reasoning behind the high cost. You guys realized your mistake with the skull quests and lowered the cost there. Please do the same with BNW.

You are not obliged to play level X, i played Garden of life level VI with absolutely no bugs and i got at least 10 fragments for each run.
Level VI was the sweet spot for me (12 sot, a lot of guard talismants (bonus) and very fast to farm)
My VHE alone can do the level lol

Knight take it easy, relax man. Both of you are long time players and human beings, so you both deserve respect. If you don't want him as a Trooper - cool, you cut him. Talking about his being a teacher is attacking personally, and there's no need for that. Your aggravation is clearly rooted in the fact that toons that are broken make things unfair in PVP (which I 100% agree with and I think most of us do). But Slauki's right as well about so many other toons and talismans being bugged. Not to mention that you're up in the higher arena ranks, and I've noticed a HUGE difference in AI when you're up there. AoF NEVER bugs out with that bullshit for lower players. Once you're in the top 25, it's like the game wants you to lose a certain number of matches so you keep playing - and it seems to do so by boosting those types of effects on the defenses. You'll see counters on a defense trigger 100% of the time, and extra turns being granted all over the place - but your offense won't catch a break at all! I couldn't believe the difference in bugs in the top 25 vs lower ranks, it's night and day.

And the more changes get made, the more it will continue to fuck other things up, but that's the nature of the game. Thorns were incredibly powerful before, which was a "bug?" but now they suck, and a team of several Wraths with counters are guaranteed wins again now since those were the defense against them. It's a huge imbalance that never gets balanced because there are too many variables and smart players that will exploit these weaknesses (which is honestly what we're all trying to do anyway with our defenses).

Looking to get this thread back on topic. I want to point out I was going to skip this event as well because I thought it wasn't worth it to run BNW. But after someone said about drops being better I thought I try it and indeed they are way better. Also I think Spartons original post is wrong it's not 5 or 10 I have been getting 10 and 20 every time. I have only run gol and gof x but after less then 15 runs have one soul. If I knew this event was this good probably would have been running it all weekend. I wanted to let people know in case they had time before this event closes.

So far this event has been good for me. There are some things I want to farm in BNW anyway so this is a good excuse to spend some time there. At least I'm getting a guaranteed reward while hoping for the drops I want. Yes it's crazy expensive SoT for the reward structure, but I' taking advantage of the bonus to justify spending the extra time there. And I already filled in 1 character I was missing so I'm happy with it.

Personally I enjoy this better than endless arena battles regardless of the SoT cost. I have not had a crash yet (fingers crossed that holds) and the changes to the DKs make it take a little less time. I still have not found a setup that will auto-farm 100% of the time so it's about half-manual requiring me to watch the battles. For a few days event I like it overall.

I'm averaging one Valor soul every 2 refills, roughly. So you figure for 60 ironite, you're getting a guaranteed 4* toon and some extra talismans/runes. Compare that to a 75 ironite rare soul in the store that's good for a blue harpy and you see the value better.

This event is a great sacrifice builder, and later this month is the Raiders sacrifice event... so stock up.

Very much agreed, with a couple of caveats:

- You need a team that can perform high-floor runs
- There's a time investment in BNW runs

I'm grinding for Zone Eater talismans anyway, so getting some good sacrifice fodder is a nice bonus. Helps that I'm also saving up for my first Utimate Sacrifice.

The problem is blue Valkyrie is so good because she is powerful and her attack is 5 hits so helps with the force shields. The talismans are predator, penetration, and advantage for GRE, predator and 2 sets of holy for blue Valkyrie. I've been using corrupt droid, but I can't consistently win on auto lately. Some but not consistently. I end up waiting until I have 15 minutes free to be sure I can pay attention rather than buying SoT and truly farming like I would if I was more sure of the win.

You can try Warrior Pyro Soldier as well. Key is to keep on applying Immunity and some toon to replenish/increase health.

1. GRE (2x Health Ward; 2x Life Arcane; 2x Holy Power)
2. Lady In Red - Claire is armed with charm, besides (2x Mystical, 1x Ward Guard; 2x Paladin Arcane; 1x Holy Arcane): Set up to boost MR ;)
3. MCR - (2x Ward 1x Mystical Energy; 3x Freezing Power)
4. Golden Doggie - (2x Will, 1x Bulwark Invisibility; 1x Health Overwhelming, 1x Health Ward; 1x Boost Will)

Such team is wiping out everything including DK - powerful & durable

P.S.: I used to not having Blue Valkyrie - I guess many remember my fiasco and missing 5 fragments... Now I have... 2 of 'em - scored one day - one by one off Legendary Souls, yet they are not sharded - I simply don't need them that much now and I am even bored to level up any of them... Just do so as much as needed for Daily Rewards...

P.S.II: Tested on auto-play many times with success, except... usual crashing, yet you can do nothing about it no matter of how good your setup is...

I like this event. BNW isn't as bad as PvP for me... Atleast here I don't counter attack myself. I'm just autofarming GoF VII since I want more strike talismans anyways. So far i've got 2 strikes, 3 souls with two SoT refills, will get my 4th soul in about an hour probably. I haven't had ANY issues in BNW at all since this event started. Two AoF and a death dog so far. Any of them will be saved for sacrifices though.

At least this time I actually got some talismans, usually I don't get any at all when I farm BNW.

GOF VII auto team:
GRE
Sentinel droid
Gunner dog
Assassin COTD

There are plenty of other teams to use, but I like using this one cause it seems quicker than others I've used, but pay attention they get really stupid 1/5 times lol

And also, I've only got 10+ on frag drops at floor VII. Plenty of 20's and about 3 50's so far.

damn this would have been a very valuable information at the start of the event, this changes everything. in fact the event is not as bad then, and pretty fair regading the costs per soul. you can get a soul per two refills, which is really okay. wish i would have known this from the start but well shit happends ;)

Spent 90 ironite to get 3 Souls, so pretty good outcome. Wish the info about the amount of shards would have been correct at the very beginning since i have farmed LvL2 thinking that it doesn’t matter anyway... could of had 6 souls instead of 3 by now. but still better than a “chance” to get fragments for a “chance” to pull a 4 star.

I think it would be nice since the original information was incorrect if they would extend this event. Since the original posting is what kept a lot of people away from even trying this event. Though I don't know if that would impact other events that are planned.

like the idea, but prolly it's hard to do. missed 1,5 days of this one. despite being in BNW it's really decent under these conditions....

Just experienced something strange/great...

I went into GOF IX with GRE, Kari, MUR and decided to use my PDK since he curses and that's useful to take down the Dragon King.

So PDK does his magic boost in one round and then hits the PDK on his next, cursing him. Dragon King is at about 25% of his second shield, full health (first pass at him).

Kari goes next and her 5 hits do 25K, 25K, 25K, 25K and then 46K and wipe the bastard out in one shot. I think the combo of the Curse, Magic Boost, and her Predator talis (I think she also smited him) resulted in this crazy scenario.

I've tried to auto-run with them more and actually lost several because when you aren't one-shotting him, your team is getting stunned left and right. So it's not something reliable. And it turns out PDK seriously messes with the WUR and makes him attack his own team while pulling double steals from you (he stole my 3-round endure and double stacked it, so he now had 6 rounds of endure, strangely).

But if you're interested in giving it a shot, it's pretty cool.

Apologies on the incorrect information for fragment drops in this event. I've updated the original post as follows:


For this event, the fragments are guaranteed to drop, and you’ll earn anywhere from 5 to 20 fragments (5 or 10 on lower floors, 10 or 20 on higher).

Specifically, you'll get 10 or 20 fragments base from floor V and above.

Good luck grabbing those Valor souls for the last few hours of the event!

That explains why I have only been getting 5 and 10 as I was on floor IV. If I had known this I would have gone up a floor. Come on NF you really need to make sure the info you are giving us is correct :(

Yeah i noticed the 10 fragments garanteed/run for bnw level VI, that's why i said the event was very nice !
