Well guys, I finally reached a point this past weekend where I couldn’t bring myself to farm the same shit over and over again anymore. I’m gonna take this week to step back from the game a bit. If night city is released, or if a worthwhile event comes along, I may jump right back in. As it stands though, I’m beyond bored with it. I’m gonna give myself a break to see if it reignites the fire. There will be no hard feelings if any of you don’t want to wait for me.

There’s no point asking the devs to speed things along anymore. They’re doing what they can. It’s just not enough to keep people’s interest. I noticed the forum was about as dead as I’ve ever seen it the past few days. So many older players have given up, and although I see new forum members joining, it’s nowhere near the number of players leaving. Anyway, I could keep ranting, but it won’t change anything.

I’ll let you guys know by the end of the week what my plans are. The break might get me interested again, or it might turn into a much longer break. I won’t leave you hanging, I’ll post my intentions by Friday or Saturday.

damn, mr. freeze, this usually means nothing good. thank for all your contribution, hope you enjoy your free time and you will return or stay casual at least. this game takes so much time every goddamn day, that no one can stand it for a very long time. so it's just a matter of time for us all.

first time ever i stopped playing pvp (aside the one match per day) and it's really impressive how much more time i do have now. i could clean up almost half of my flat with :D
that said, yeah pointless to repeat it again and again and again.

wish you all the best

I appreciate the kind words guys. Regardless of what I decide to do, I won’t delete the game. I’ve come too far for that. You guys (and a bunch of others) are the best troopers anyone could ask for.

It sucks that the game is set up in such a way that you can’t take a break without the risk of losing troopers. I’ve brought this up to the devs in the past, and the response was not encouraging. It didn’t seem like they’re aware it’s a problem.

If a player takes a break, and doesn’t make it known on the forums, it’s likely they’ll log in to find half of they’re troopers gone. That could lead to the player giving up completely. If they could give me a button to send you guys badges without playing, I’d do it everyday. I’d be fine with not getting my 25 badges for playing as long as I could send them out. I’ve seen this in other games, so it not that crazy of an idea.

Anyway, thanks for understanding. I’m hoping to avoid major burnout by stepping back for a minute. Maybe one day the devs will understand, until then...

Edit: you guys may end up getting badges from me after all. I gotta get the dumb blue droid right? I’ll run forum troopers first in case I don’t get through everyone.

All the best to you man! Ofc will keep you, until you say- and that hopefully won’t happen- you won’t come back. Enjoy your time away from the game and badges will be waiting for you \m/

Enjoy the vacation. I'll keep you on, I've got a few still that I know are gone, just not done any searching for new troopers as I question myself on continuing far too often.

Damn man, sucks, but I don't blame ya.

You were VHE before VHE was cool! LOL.

You can keep me on whatever your decision is, I think this game is way past its prime of trying to keep 50 active daily troopers on your list.

Darn, sorry to hear this, my friend. I’ve been there, done that, and I am quite sure that I am heading back on a break again soon enough.

Best of luck and I will continue to keep you on along with the rest of my small troop of Troopers. :)

Well troopers I guess I’m here to stay for a while. I ended up sending most of you your badges during my “break” anyway. I’ll just try to lower my total number of troopers as I go along. Whenever they get that fixed I mean. Right now I have no idea who’s inactive or not.

Freeze :)

I wish you all the best during your well deserved break - no-one is ''boringproof''... Even you, or Slauki - it's just a matter of time - some get burnout faster than the others, yet I guess we all have faced this here... As for forum being ''dead'' - well - I am doing my ''job'' when I can, yet lost interest completely of following what's happening here... It's basically ''All Quiet On LOTB Front'' - I am sure nothing much been changed, no bugfixes, no new content etc. etc. even if I am not popping out here daily anymore... There's Christmas around the corner and I DO have a LOT more important things to look for than just sittin' here and wastin' my time...

Cheers,

W

I'm glad you're sticking around, Trooper! Hopefully, upcoming updates and features will make things more exciting for you.

If you're ever looking for a really micro-vacation, feel free to skip over my champ from time to time. No guilt, have fun!

Hi MrFreeze, glad you still keep on playing, after I reduced my troopers to eleven it is much enjoyable just to play when you want and not to have the obligation to play 50 troopers. Devs have to do something about a faster way to run 50 troopers.

That’s what I’d like to do. If I could get down to 25-30, it’d be easier. I’m at 43 right now. I could probably get it lower but due to the current bug, I’m unsure of some players activity. I’ve got a couple troopers who I think have been inactive for over a month, but I’m not sure so I’m hesitant to start deleting people.
