but no fixes to aof and his random extra turns so far?
looking forward to the update, but i dislike that the christmas souls are only available for ironite. but i bet/hope the arena event will let us get some fragments ;)
edit: nice that i inpired you to implement a timer, but i would have prefered to inspire you to use 3 troopers at once...
Somehow I got in early but got kicked out. Looks like 8 additional skillshards for tailgunner. Yikes, quite an investment for a four star Eddie. I think his buffs will be cool, but he is going to be too hard to keep alive to be useful in pvp.

I've been pretty excited in waiting for this update and it's... Almost as good as I hoped. But it's still great.
King Edward the Great (I will only address him as such) sounds like a real good one. His fury, while not very focused on the enemy, sounds fantastic, especially those who use those golden buffs. His basic attacks sound like they should be power attacks and I can see them messing with teams that rely on the usual "Guard Shield, Counterstrike" shtick.
The new Sacrifice buff sounds intense but perhaps it could be abused if it's coupled with immortality? A good note for research. All in all, he seems worthy of the King title and a true 5* in my opinion. Can't wait to try him out one day.
The Christmas Soul part is kind of sketchy because last I checked, Christmas souls were basically rare souls who might also drop exclusive characters. And considering how rare 4-5* toons are, you'll need alot if you want to get Krampus. Since you say there will be more ways to get Christmas souls soon I'll hold off on whether of not I actually like it.
The Quest Completion timer seems more of a nifty gimmick than a solid feature but it sure beats having to record my runs from a second source. I'm sure it'll be fun to craft the fastest team with everyone else.
The Character Tuning is 100% fantastic. No nerfs and only buffs and fixes, I love it.
Making the Gunner Chopper and Warrior Trickster available, while I like the idea, it kind of makes you wonder about whether we should actually get the event characters or just wait until they are released again. My argument to that is that while the event is on, we can guarantee getting them.
The best part about the Inventory changes is the GIGANTIC increase in character slots. Up to 300 is incredible.
All in all this a a good update that focused on fixing many of the problems we've been having and I'm glad that it wasn't about introducing another half broken feature. I'm a bit bummed that the "secret new content" isn't here but the way I see it is the longer we wait, the better it will be....or something.

A bought soul is a bought soul.
If you're concerned about not having gotten the correct data, you wouldn't have been able to buy the souls unless you had the data for the souls. You just wouldn't be able to use some of the new resulting characters without the new update (as there are bug fixes/combat functionality additions/etc in the new update for them).

This year's Christmas Souls are currently only available from the store. Emphasis on currently.
They will become available by other means as well, but nothing more specific to announce yet.

Google's back-end stuff always goes through faster than Apple's, so iOS ends up under maintenance for a slightly longer period.
Maintenance for iOS should be ended now, though.

Some nice stuff, but looks like this might be the last major content update before 2018, and I was hoping Night City would be out this year, like Michelle announced at the start of 2017. But what can ya do? Edward the Great looks real badass, and Krampus made me laugh. Nice job, guys!

Lol bought 10 pack souls and got Coalgiver my last Eddie to complete the collection! Nope, new limited time Eddie added - collection once again incomplete. Hopefully I won’t need to wait another year to pull Edward the Great.

Congrats on the pull, I got him too - I'm not as close to completing the collection yet though. But I am on Coalgiver's list this year, so I'm super pumped about that!!

I'm getting a lot of SACR08 errors when trying to Sacrafice. Forces me to restart the game. Had this previously, many months ago, but it was fixed. Appears to be back for me now.

Looks like there will be future ways to get Christmas Souls, and history says that sacrificing is a likely way to earn them... might want to hang onto those sacrifices for a week, unless you're chasing Viking Eddie. Just a thought.

I definitely think you're right on that one. Just hoping for some sacrifice too, been saving a lot of burner toons for a while here.

Yeah, luckily so far it's only been other buffs and not the immunity. Did have Viking steal perfect immunity from Clair a couple times pre-update.
Not sure if it's restricted solely to AG or if other benefit removers can do the same. The new meta begins. Lol

Wasn't keeping a close eye.. but 80 or so souls, maybe 100... actually was giving up.. had the Elf (may times) and Krampus (a few times).. but no king.. filled the vortex twice... was hoping for more Skill Shards but didn't get that many.... on a final whim I tried 3 more souls... and there was the king.
Kind of frustrating that I don't have the magus shards to fully power him... and I don't feel like swapping talismans around to give him lvlv 50 talismans... so I need to power things up in that resepct.
But.. he appears to be one of the more decent Eddies to me... maybe even a good PvP Eddie. Wish his special stat was higher though.
Spartan.... is there any major significance to the "Best Time" timer? Or is it merely self-satisfaction?
And it's nice to see Astra actually stunning enemies now :)

Am I doing something wrong how on earth did you have enough Ironite to get 80-100 christmas souls?!
He's only at lvl 70 here and has a few really underpowered talismans.. but I'll set him as my Champion for a bit.
I'm manually leveling him... so he's gaining, but it's slow going.

I think it's to find which team clears a dungeon in the fastest time. For example, I found a team that can clear Warrior LoL X on auto in 34 seconds or more. Tailgunner Eddie is really awesome and he does a ton of damage.
Well I bought 3 Christmas Souls and nobody different came out other than the normal rubble. In a spark of insanity I sacrificed a load of toons (4* nobody's) and got 3 exalted sacrifices, a grand and a few others. Did the rinse and repeat and had a full vortex fill. After opening over 100 souls and losing over 4 million in gold, I didn't get King Edward.
I did get a Prisoner though, and I'm just as happy.
Either I have the worst luck ever - or it’s time to check the echo talismans. Just fought a team where they proc’d 5 or 6 times in a row for a toon, multiple times in one match! Lost 3 straight matches to the team due to it. I’ve fought many teams with echos never seen anything like that.
Edit: after checking the toons updated skills - it’s certainly possible he would have a good chance of them procing. But 5 times in a row twice in a match still seems very improbable. I think my screen dimmed waiting for that single toon to stop attacking and it’s on a one minute timer. I’ll refrain from calling them broken but man that was pretty unlikely.

Interesting updates but I can't seem to login after updating. It's getting stuck on the loading screen. But I'm guessing it's not a common issue?

Think maybe the server just went down. Playing troopers, got a macl15 after the win and my toons staring and waiting for the rewards. Finally errored out, now can't login.

Not really sure if it's related, been trying for 2 hours or so. It's getting stuck on 1/3 of the loading bar and it keeps loading

Are you on Android? I had the same problem. I've never had that issue before with an update. But a re-install solved it for me.

they cleanse everyone every turn and heal everyone for 5. in fact they don't anything in a reliable way (prolly rightfully). so either they don't work as intended or the description is wrong.

Hm... sloppy job on revising the description text it seems.
The intent is that you only cleanse yourself every turn, but the most recent tuning change has adjusted the heal part specifically to be all allies.
Tailgunner’s fury is bugged. Once he uses Raining Death, it just keeps repeating until all are dead. Verified against mammy twice, using 2 different defenses.
Yikes, that's no good. I've passed that to the team to be tracked.

Sparton, are Purge Talismans supposed to only remove negative effects on one person if an AOE attacker uses them? I have them on Eda and I've seen her heal multiple times at once but the beneficial effects are only removed on one specific target.

Following up on this, our QA team is able to get Tailgunner to provide the Extra Turn when expected, but nothing that is having it "repeating until all are dead".
Can you post here/PM me the details for what teams this was used with or against, and/or the time of the matches where you saw this occurred?

Don’t quite remember the 1st time but I think it was
VH, W UR, Assn Art Dog, Gold Pharaoh Dog.
2nd time was VH, Clair, Valk Assn, W UR
Fury triggered like 3 times in a row without any other toon having a turn inbetween.
I’ll try my TGE when I can to see if I can duplicate this on offense. He isn’t shared at the moment though.

YAY! New improvements has been launched... Very excited really... Haven't discovered all of them yet for sure, though couple of 'em been spotted... Here we go!
1. The game game crashes on a MASSIVE scale now...

4-5 times during last couple of hours... To mention of lost SoTs, rewards from SL, time and nerves... Where good 'ol MACLOS (or other demons) have gone? Now it's not even displaying error code... Just *POOF* ''Unfortunately Legacy has stopped working'' and that's it - no matter if you are in the middle of the level or just launched the game...
2. Selling the talismans on screen stopped working...
3. We have been given some thrilling ''race factor'' to the game...

I believe that this is NF response to all the complaints people been told that the gameplay and using troopers is waaaay to long and boring... So there you go people - now you can have a shiny clock at the end of each level to feel the thrills on your back when you race against time and if its taking too long its not our (NF) fault, but yours as you might not been able to do your best to improve your score... It's like having solar powered flash light, cool but utterly useless...
4. New shapes of shards...

Again... What was wrong with the old ones? Haven't heard people complained about them, so simple WHY? Now I can clearly see why you guys suffer the lack of time and WILLING to fix really broken and long time ago reported things, as you find one of THE MOST IMPORTANT things is to change the shape of the shards...

This update nothing fixed in arena,many freeze,many errors and not playable,i test my wifi and no problem with him,so game work very unstable with this update...

Gunner Valkyrie with PI combined with passive blocker endure = unplayable crap.
Getting very sick of this defense combination. I’m not calling anyone out - it’s a legit defense but it’s making pvp garbage. Best case you grind forever in a holding pattern waiting to actually kill your opponents and get the win 5-10 minutes later. Worst case the G Valkyrie uses her power move and extends the endure it’s even worse. Once again I am quitting matches I can win because it’s a friggin stall fest.
For the first time since starting pvp I am thinking of quitting the game. This defense is becoming prevalent and it’s boring and if the cards fall wrong nothing can be done to prevent it.
G Valkyrie needs to either grant PI to less allies or for only one turn or something. It’s ruining pvp big time.

I lost a game against one of the Valkyrie's because it was the only one alive and it was granting endure to itself. My Prisoner was long dead, so it was a holding pattern.

One thing more - even the clock seem to be buggy... Quite often shows me: ''New Best Time:...'' while it is EXACTLY the same as it was before... How it can be new, while it isn't? #NF NEW; #NF LOGIC

Pretty sure it's just a little bit sooner than before. For example 34.1 seconds is faster than 34.2 seconds. Makes sense to me anyways.

Agree. There needs to be a better counter to this, than just to keep healing buying time. Takes way too long. So annoying!

yep +1 on that. annoying as hell and not effective at all. just effective in annoying people as it seems ;)
No direct experience with it -- maybe it's a problem, maybe it's not....
why not get rid of all healing... get rid of all immunity... get rid of immortality... get rid of invincibility... get rid of invisibility... get rid of endure... get rid of life seal.. all they do is extend PvP, right?

Right now PI is bugged and doesn't prevent buffs from being stolen. I've had AG steal from Eda several times. This bug was confirmed by Sparton. Don't know if it extends to removing buffs, but they can be stolen (at least by defense).

A few more bugs, some that I believe are holdovers from the previous update.
1) Clairvoyant's fury does not give the cleanse buff to anyone she revives. (Think this may be a result of the fix that had her healing before she cleansed the team)
2) If the defense goes first passive blockers ignore the prisoner's passive even though it should still be active that first round.
3) Toons with counter are countering multiple times. Not sure if they're countering debuffs as well as the attacks.
4) I've also had toons with counterstrike counter even though they weren't the toon targeted by a single target attack.
5) And, of course, death dog does not get the damage charge when he uses his power move. :p

Lol so PI issue has been addtessed by a bug? Gotta love that.
Also - similar to Clair issue, VHE fury is not granting crit strike to revived toons.

All they do is "slow down" PvP, right?

Actually AHE’s do or die can remove endure with or without Pi so far is the only toon that is able to do that

Yup- I am not about mad nerfing or “get rid of everything” I just believe for a good meta all effects need a counter. If something can effectively alter the meta and has no plausible way to counter - than its broken and severely imbalanced

Another bug, this time with Alchemist.
He used his fury, manage to kill the rest of his team and they finally die after 3 turns of ghost. Ghost the alchemist and his counter for ghost keeps changing from 3 to 2 and then back to 3. Prisoner kept stunning him, so he couldn't hit thorn shields to get permadeath. He also couldn't use any skill that would gain him time. He died, but took maybe 10 to 15 rounds or more of him ghosted and almost resulted in a draw as he refused to die.

@EZZ other than that try aop for shorten down the effects, it works too.

PI ---> unintentional bugs
so most things in the game have a natural counter and this is necessary. but as it is PI is a problem because there is no direct counter. and this is the slowest meta, that ever existed almost everyone who playes PVP long enough cam confirm this, and that's bad for players and for devs due to the lack of refills.

I absolutely agree. At the moment it takes me close to three times as long to get through one stack of SOW. There is also an additional problem: by not being able to have as many battles as before the amount of Iron Coins earned massively dropped (at least for me). With Talismans only available through the Arena store that is a problem.

I had a toon with the Endure Talismans, endowed with Perfect Immunity at the start of the Battle. I went up against a Gunner Chopper with the Permadeath passive.

No it's a bug since the update. Perfect immunity is no longer perfect.

I really wanted to get excited about this update, but it’s just more of the same. Fixed a couple bugs, created even more. Tuning characters for a pvp mode that’s dying because it’s boring. We need something new to do guys. Your player base is deserting the game. Most people don’t even want to play 50 troopers a day anymore. BNW could have been a nice distraction, but you made it really annoying instead of fun. I’m trying to stay with the game, but it’s getting harder all the time.
Are we going to wait another 2-3 months for this new game mode that was mentioned? How about night city? Can it be that hard to open a new world. It doubt it took 4 years to make the ones we have, so why is it taking so long? We’ve all been incredibly patient. Please give us something new to do. I could care less about more tuning. Very few of the characters even resemble what they were in the beginning. You could go around in circles tuning forever, or we could move on to better things. I don’t want to quit, but your pace on this game is horrible. Grass grows quicker. And it really does, I’m not even joking.
Okay...... for those unaware.... there is absolutely a non-bug technique which will remove (blue) buffs, including Endure, when Perfect Immunity is present. And it's NOT related to Aces High Eddie... that's just another technique.
You all sound like an MMA fighter who keeps losing matches, or begrudgingly going the distance, because they aren't aware of what an arm bar is.

Perfect Immunity is just in line with the perma-buffs
Face it.. you all just aren't pleased that your "standard" attack team isn't as effective as you'd like them to be against PI, that's all.
Is PI annoying at times? heck yes! But so is Immortality or Ascension. But you all seem to want to penalize players with a PI character or ability. Seems rather weak if you ask me. "Waaaahhhhhhhh I can't fight this battle in under 2 minutes.. the game is broke!"
And FYI.. I don't use a PI character, even though I have Edna fully powered up, on either defense or attack so it's largely irrelevant to my playing.

Honestly, on this type of games there is only one way for the devs to really listen, stop buying refills, leave pvp as a casual matter, only do the 10 SoW and go watch a movie, listen to some Maiden songs.

This game for me still brings a lot of fun time killing moments. PvP or PvE, is all honesty I laugh in the constant flow of issues that sometimes happens on the arena, the last one is the awesome Viking's 65% Call to Arms change... that even with Accuracy up, bringing it to 90% (65+25=90 on the math I learned, clearly not the same math as NF knows.) that FAILS 90% of the time.
Yeah, I still found fun in things like that...
I like Sparton, Kaz, Levi and the others, BUT... I am sad to say, and believe me when I say it, this game is beyond broken... will take a LOT of work, and re-work of the game to fix it, just the fact that you can't tune a individual skill, (Check the preliminary topic, my Viking CtA suggestion to remove fury generated from that skill) Even a theoretically simple thing to change, tune a single skill, is impossible in the current state of the game.
So with the best wishes in mind, play the game for what it is, it won't be fixed anytime soon. (I still believe on the devs tho, but more things will be broken before they can be fixed.)
I worked long enough with coding to have an idea of what to expect.

Yup- I am not about mad nerfing or “get rid of everything” I just believe for a good meta all effects need a counter. If something can effectively alter the meta and has no plausible way to counter - than its broken and severely imbalanced

This is most likely a reason why some bugs are never addressed... every month wimpy players whine abut something THEY want changed... they get together and all jump on the bandwagon.. devs can't tell what is merely players whining and what may be a real issue. So you pull focus unnecessarily away from quality in an effort to make the game what YOU want for your own selfish ends. You aren't looking to improve the game, you just want a game easier to beat, that's all.
The truth of the matter is there is no issue with perfect Immunity - some players don't like encountering it.. too bad for them. Suck it up and deal with it. As I've posted, there are techniques to combat Perfect Immunity, just because you seem to be ignorant of those techniques it does NOT make perfect immunity a "problem".
What's next? whining about ascension, permadeath, and charge being combined on a character because it does too much damage and you don't have any character capable defending against it??

Yup, there's no reason to start name calling. People have a right to want gameplay that they find more fun. Everyone has there own style of play. Whether your style is affected by certain things or not is beside the point. Personally I think the nerfs to dragon king were too much and nothing has been said on that.
And, yes, Astra should be balanced. Her power move at a cost of 5 is out of line. Devs won't do it because not everyone is using her, nevermind that it's only because she's more rare than any of the Eddie's.

The only issue with PI for me is it slows down the battle. I get that it's annoying in PvP, you want to get as many battles done as quick as possible. Other than that I don't see any reason to complain, personally i don't have a problem with it. And everyone here knows I'm one hell of a complainer! At least I can admit it hah

There was that remark, but also referring to the previous one as well. And looks more like trying to incite something than be helpful. :) I've reported several bugs that work against my team, despite the fact that it might be useful information for someone in formulating a defense. Be helpful, not just throw out criticism of other players. That's what community is.
Currently VHE is broken, much the same way as Clair. And yes, he's still dominant in arena because he's OP. I keep both of my VHE's on the bench, so I could use him but I'm sure everyone is just as sick of facing the same defenses over and over that I choose not to.
Finally, as to the bugs ever getting fully resolved. As someone who's written my share of code, I doubt that without a rewrite of the core game engine that it will ever be fully resolved. It's always going to be fix one thing and break something else.

Yeah, I'd be the one changing shard shapes... :) I have often beta tested for major software corporations and been privy to back end, open and honest, beta testing discussions.

This makes perfect sense to me. I'm actually glad you posted this cause it will (probably... lol) help me be a bit more patient with bugs being fixed.

Try being helpful to other players as well, it's not that hard. Sharing strategies isn't that big a deal.
When it comes to age, I'm 50. Saw Maiden on the World Slavery, Somewhere on Tour and Maiden England tours. Taught myself to program in junior high school, basic and assembly language. I don't code for a living, but I do some microcontroller stuff as a hobby. I have a good idea of what the code for the game is like and it's not pretty.
Trying to help identify the cause of bugs is a good thing. If I know what caused it, I usually put that in my bug write up. The one I hope not to repeat is the one with alchemist ghost lasting for it seemed like 20 turns, but it's hard to tell. No one to permadeath him, so just had to wait it out. Even got the draw screen, but I continued and was finally rewarded with his counter finally working correctly.

Since I started using red buzz with counter strike it has been pretty funny cause he heals himself or someone else with his attack most of the time... Let me just hit and heal myself at the same time. Lmao

Okay then we're relatively close in age.
See I'd share strategies, but if they are shared here.. everyone will employ them.. and the players here are the ones with all the time in the world to sit at the top of the PvP list. They don't need my strategy.. and they certainly don't need a counter to perfect immunity. The list is already exceptionally unbalanced and favorable.... Everyone doesn't start at 0 with the weekly reset. Once you get to the top, it's not that difficult to stay there week after week after week if you have enough time to play the game.
For the record other users are aware of the strategies against buffs and PI... it's just the small group here that may not be. So, which is community support? Helping those at the top stay at the top when they complain.. or keeping an effective strategy against the top players a secret? You can't claim I'm not helping the community just because I don't give the loudest players what they want.
You're whining. That's all.

It is clear that PI is annoying and taking away from the fun of the game for at least some players, perhaps many many players.

pretty pointless to search a consense, we have made our points and try to explain why it's annoying and a problem. and many players will agree and many might not agree, that's also okay.
but i can tell you one thing. i played pvp since beta every single week, and there was never less competition than during the last weeks. pvp is dying and people are loosing
interest so something has to be done.
sure there are several reasons for this and PI is not the worst problem we have. first of all the bugs take the fun away, but PI is a part of the problem i belive.
feel free to disagree but this slow meta is killing fun for many players. and everyone has the right to articulate this, in the end the devs have to see what to make of it.

I'm gonna have to side with Yup on the PI issue. Honestly, there is a counter to that, and it's Passive Disable. After all, Eda is the only one who can really abuse perfect immunity and ever since I got my Prisoner I've been sending him in those battles and I target her first. After that, the battle is only like a minute long for me. I can understand the frustration when she has endure or invisibility or something and she keeps extending it, why not just bring more energy stealers with you? I mean endure and invisibility last for 3 turns and her power move is 7 energy. It takes about 3 turns to get that high when she doesn't have any energy buffs.
As for the player base leaving, I can't blame them for it, really, but it's not as bad as it may seem. After all, it's the holiday season, people have jobs, etc. Playing 50 troopers a day is the only thing that I personally have an issue with. It takes a very long time, that's for sure. Recently I've slightly dipped on playing everyone because of other priorities, mainly centered around Christmas. But I still get as many people as I can with the time I have. It just takes. such. a. long. time.
And this game is still fun for me. Tailgunner Eddie is such a cool guy to blast people apart with. I've been playing with him on my attack team and, if I go first, he can completely blast the opposing team away with only a couple rounds of his basic, mixed with Hunter and Echo talismans

Bit late to the discussion but I agree with Yup. I do not see PI as a huge issue. Also maybe it’s the people I battle against but I have never seen her with endure. I have seen other toons with Endure with her which can be a tougher combo to get past but by no means impossible if you know what you are doing.
To me battles being boring is not a reason to fix something, which also I disagree with premise that they are boring yo begin with. As much as I hate losing any battle I try to take that opportunity to come up with another offense to use.
What should be fixed are the actual bugs like free turns from AOF and when the thorn shields would reflect a 1000 times. Those battles were over in seconds I even got a zero turn kill once because of them. Are you saying those two need were fun at all just because the battles lasted less than a minute?

you can see i'm a long time forum member and i have contact with many players inside and outside the forum. so i'm very sure to have at least an idea of what many people think about the game. if you follow the forums you will also get a sense of what many people think.
so far the tendency is pretty obvious for me, PI is not overpowerd but it slows down the game in a relevant way. this relates with one of the main concerns for many months --> the game itself is too time consuming since pvp was released, and everything that extends the playing time is a big issue as you can read in almost every "goodbye troopers" thread. so puzzeling all together leads to a obvious conclusion: --> we need something to speed the game up and PI is exactly the opposite of this.
in a vacuum PI wouldn't be such a problem itself but if you try to see the whole picture it's one thing that makes the game more boring and repetitive. just to wait two more turns to kill the last enemy because pharaoh casted invincibility for eda is ridiculous.

Slauki, Yeah it's slow but damn it's not that big of a deal.
So what if he casts invincibility? If you're facing a pharaoh you should bring someone who removes/steals beneficial effects. Personally I use red buzz, alliance general, and MCR with Pharaoh. NO ONE keeps their beneficial effects. Ever.
It's actually pretty entertaining to see the effects go back and forth. I battle my own defense just for a laugh sometimes.
Edit: I was totally thinking of perfect immortality. Whoops. But that just goes to show how it's not a huge issue, otherwise I would have known right off the bat. Personally Eda has never given me problems when facing her. I don't have her, which is why I was confused for a few minutes lol

This is the most important thing for "saving time". This affects EVERYONE who plays the game. Not everyone plays PvP constantly, hell most people don't even have time to play more than once a day for the daily reward after doing all 50.

partly agree. you can run troopers on auto, so that's time consuming as hell, but no attention is required. you can run troopers and do something else at the same time. i'm fighting for a faster trooper usage for many months now, but that's no high priority thing for the devs.
pvp is totally different, because it's almost impossible to do it on auto. so for competing here real "quality time" is needed and you have to be focussed 100%. that's why this affects the pvp players much more than the trooper usage.
all i say is, this game requires too much time to fulfill all daily "tasks" that's my main concern PI is just one small part of the mosaik.

The server data that just went live had only one small fix; the Beelzebub Soul cost the correct amount of Frontier Coins, but was still not purchasable due to an error in the store data.
Also just wanted to rapid fire touch on some subjects that have been brought up in the last few pages:
Regarding countering Perfect Immunity, Amarthir (http://forum.ironmaidenlegacy.com/showthread.php?9367-December-18th-2017-Update-Discussion&p=64067&viewfull=1#post64067) touched on most of what my thoughts are for what we expect you to do to counter it. Probably the trickiest thing to consider for Perfect Immunity is that there's definitely no universal counter, but situational counters depending on what it's paired with (Prisoner stopping most passive shenanigans, but if you can't remove it then prevent extending it by stealing Power, etc). A more direct counter to Perfect Immunity will eventually come, but still, there are local answers to various situations. However, as a developer, I don't typically want to spill the beans on every counter we've thought of, which is why I'm typically pretty silent when the subject comes up (I don't really want to point out any strategies that haven't already been brought up).
Regarding the Angel of Fear shenanigans, our main combat programmer has this as his current task he's working through, so I'm working with him and Kaz to make sure we consider all the funky cases that can occur to ensure this works correctly (or at least drastically reduce the weird/undesirable cases).
Regarding the time investment factor, obviously PVP is it's own beast that evolves based on what the meta is, and we're keeping an eye on that and adjusting future content to help combat that, at least to a degree. Specifically on the subject of using 50 troopers, this is something I'm actively discussing solutions for with a different programmer, so while I don't have a timeline for when a solution for troopers will make it in, I can say that progress is happening to bring it to the live game.
Finally, the discussion was getting a bit heated, but I appreciate everyone taking a step back and calming down before things got too hectic. It's always good to keep in mind that we're all people here, and I can definitely say that as developers we are actively digesting the criticisms everyone has... but please keep it civil so we don't start needing to take a scalpel to people's comments.

AOF extra turns are fine as is.
Trooper usage time is a non issue.

It’s not a matter of losing these battles going against PI. These are good players speaking out on it. We aren’t losing the battles. It’s just delaying the inevitable, making them drag out. So there are less battles, less iron coins earned, etc.
It’s just opinion and preference though. There are certainly many other issues with PvP too.
you can see i'm a long time forum member and i have contact with many players inside and outside the forum. so i'm very sure to have at least an idea of what many people think about the game. if you follow the forums you will also get a sense of what many people think. .

Completely agree. I'm sure any game you've ever played has at least one area that you don't like about it. Same goes for me. That's just the way it is, everything can't be perfectly catered to you.
Maybe this could help change your mind... Say they go in and adjust PI. I think we all know for a FACT that NF will cause a bug from it. If it works, why the hell would you mess with it???? Come on now.

1) Have a button you push that automatically sends badges to all troopers.
2) Now that the badges are sent, to receive those badges you have to play the trooper that sent them.
3) So, clicking the button gets you 0 badges. Playing a trooper gets you 25, and as long as they click their button sometime during the day you get the other 25.
Doing it that way, would mean that you're really only playing for badges for yourself. If you have enough stocked up, you can just click your send button and be done. Want to focus more on pvp, same thing. Taking a break, on vacation, take a minute and send those badges. :D
The truth is, with the timer on the levels. Most of my grinding is under 30 seconds per trooper. So, at 50 troopers, that puts actual active play time at 25 minutes. Loading time, navigation time, waiting on SoT all add considerably to that. I think if my idea could be implemented or something similar then it would negate the complaints of the time it takes to take care of troopers.

letting players wait in a mindless way is just bad and ofc it's worth development time. that's one of the reasons "many players" dislike BNW. according to the countless compalins about BNW it's the least favoured part of the game. one main reason for this was, that it took so damn long to beat it and that the drops were very crappy (and bugs ofc). the devs obviously realized this and made the levels easier to beat. i have good reasons to belive they are no idiots and didn't do it because of a few guys who complained on the forums. they did it because they analyzed the numbers and saw, that players didn't played it that much.
i see the same trend for PVP and if this observation is true something has to be done.
and ofc i want the game to favour the way how i want to play, but i always try to think about other implications as well. if the time issue is not solved for PVE and PVP the game will loose more players than necessary. since noone of us can provide really reliable arguments because of lack of data we won't come together here. but everything you said is also just an individual opinion which is not better than any other opinion of any other player who participated here. but the forum is the place to discuss such opinions/arguments in reasonable way.
if we throw all arguments/opinions together we might come to a solid conclusion.

Exactly. This is what I’d like to see as well. It’s good to step away from things for a bit. Especially addictions, which is what these mobile games are. We shouldn’t have to worry about losing troopers because we want to go to rehab for a week.

I think BNW is an entirely different beast though... under 2 minutes (autoplay) to get to the Dragon King then 3 times longer (manual play) just for the Dragon King... that's what is annoying to me. It's MUCH better now than it was in October, but the Dragon king is still a bit annoying and... please... do NOT.. get me started on the drops.. they still suck.... 285 runs through lvl X in the past week or so and only 2 higher level talismans (1 Comet, and 1 Quake), that's it. A ratio of 285:2 is horrible.
From what I see, NF is taking steps to throw in new characters with some interesting abilities. Edward the Great appears to be a fabulous PvP character... even against PI... I just want to add about 15 more skill shards to him before testing that theory. :) He kicks ass in PvE though. Paired with the correct other characters... look out. You think PI and Endure is bad now.. wait until you start pairing up against ETG and Edna.. then you'll really complain. :) (Now where's that starter pack of 50 skill shards??? :) )
And the Magus droid with it's team invincibility on demand is also one of those abilities that is relatively new. Again, not enough skill shards to fully test it. But in theory on attack.. you could keep your team invincible the entire match.
it's these sort of things that make PI a non-issue to me. It's going to be a problem unless you start thinking defense more than attack. PvP has really been more weighted to attack. PI is the one ability that is weighted towards defense. And changing that single defense ability to aide in more attack strategies just seems wrong. And citing a defense strategy as a "problem" seems counterintuitive to me. That's what defense is supposed to do.. delay you winning.
To be honest PvP sucked for me completely until I had some fully sharded, full talisman, level 100 characters. Anything other than that and PvP is rather pointless and horrible. I suspect it's THAT which annoys players more than anything. There's no chance of even really hitting Duelist III unless you have some full power characters. So, lets not start messing with inherent character abilities that don't require a full skill shard set and full talismans to kick in. It's hard enough to just get the character herself....
In other words.. show some love for Edna.. she's just doing what she's supposed to do :)

In a battle ten minutes ago, used eda with immunity and passive disabled the prisoner with DG. Next round only clair and DG were left standing. PI seems to be doing its own thing post-update. :rolleyes:
Regarding DG's passive disable skill - it only ever works on the prisoner. NoBL, GPD etc. will still revenge, reduce damage etc. This has been the case for quite some time

Been logging in and trying this update. Its such a let down but at least the disappointment is expected... a great success in that regard! There is no significant change and nothing new or fresh other than playable characters and more new bugs to accompany the old ones. Misery loves company I guess. Not even attempting to play PvP as it was always the least enjoyable and most bugged part of the game. NF has really fallen into a rut with this "more chars, more events" cycle and offering nothing really palpable in the way of making the game fun again.
As a long time supporter of this project, I would ask that NF take time to look deep at the game and come to the realization that new environments are needed and new game modes need to be much more than adding a best times clock to the upper right corner that literally give no reward for besting. Adding more Troopers to the daily grind is turning a blind eye and a deaf ear to the community and its overwhelming calls for quicker ways to run troopers. A system that was mentioned for dupe protection among Eternal and Trooper souls was never implemented to my knowledge. I have also not attempted to make any runs through BNW and judging by the scathing reviews, a wise decision on my part. Something that took so long to produce should have yielded a much more enjoyable experience and should not remain a work in progress.
In closing lol... complaints about complaints are so dumb but everyone has a right to voice their opinion I guess.. and apparently some form of entertainment is needed to offset the lack coming from LotB... although, when people whine about people whining, its break time for one or all involved. The most unfortunate thing about it all is that reading this thread and seeing folks argue about dumb shit is more enjoyable than anything the game has to offer. That really needs to change.

Perhaps you just interpreted the fix for the flaw wrong. Prior to the update, there was a possibility of the install size bloating. Now it's guaranteed!!! :cool:

Most ridiculous AOF big yet!
I just saw an AOF grant his team extra turns without even landing a hit. Was halfway through a match with toons dead on both sides. AOF attacked my VHE while blinded.
He missed the hit. No kill, no damage taken by my team, but extra turns for his team.
I’m literally 1 step from quitting this game.
This is beyond the point of irritating, and has reached the point of laughable.
Devs - if u cannot fix AOF passive why can’t you do the right thing and change it entirely to something that works?

Agree, AoF is a real pain. Strange thing though...I won two matches against AoF teams where I was certain that the AoF bug would work against me.
1. My DG passive disabled the AoF, but then got killed by the AoF during their turn, which became legitimately the first kill of the battle (against my favor). And lo and behold, the AoF DID NOT grant their team an extra turn. I was able to win the match, but was left completely speechless that the DG’s Passive Disable actually worked!!!
2. Another match, I killed the AoF first, but the during their turn, they were able to kill one of my toons, so I was holding my breath expecting them to get another undeserved 2nd turn, but guess what, no second turn for their team.
Yet I lost a few matches yesterday due to the AoF bug, so sheesh, add to what you wrote above, this is one hard bug to consistently replicate.

You know whats annoying? Adding in stupid features that don't matter. "New best time!" and that's it. No reward, no point of it being there. I'm not saying I don't like it, but sometimes your use of time makes zero sense while your losing many players.
You're just wasting precious time that could be put towards night city or... BUG FIXES????!!!! Then the bugs that appear from the original bug fixes. And then the third bug from the second fix, and so on.... Never ending loop of bugs.
If you want to add features add a freaking gold booster. I'm sick of being out of gold. lol

The fix is there, it just only deletes files denoted as old data. That will take a week or so to naturally be marked and removed accordingly (to prevent everyone from needing to redownload all of the game data from the servers fresh).
If you want to forcibly lower the install size now, you can delete the app (or on Android delete the cached data) and it'll fetch fresh data then. Just make sure you have valid login credentials tied to your account (email + password or Facebook associated).

The app is only 140mb here....

Same here. Everything’s gotten slower to load since the last update. And I keep getting this again. Sorry to whichever troopers I happen to be running when this freezes up. It’s happened twice already this evening. Deleted the game and reinstalling. Shouldn’t have to do that after every update, but I’ll give it a shot.

Yeah I get this a fair bit since the update too. It is irregular but as I farm Powerslave a lot it happens a lot there. As you say, wait it out and it eventually gets there but it can take a minute or more to sort itself out. Also getting more SACRO and PVTE errors since the updates - the ones where it says the app needs to restart from your home screen. Maybe getting four or five a day but I do auto farm most of the day so logged on a lot.

Just had a battle against Demoonchild. In his second turn his AoF kills my DG. No extra turn granted, which was right, as his Wrath was already dead. Things is my DG was equipped with endure, not sure if it was overruled by permadeath from Astra though. Still I have two problems with this. First, it appeared that his AoF was hitting at my AoS. Maybe it is equipped with thorn? But that bringe me to my second prob. My AoS was also equipped with endure, still active. No enable passives present. I did manage to win though. But, WTF!!

I’ve never deleted the app since release. Today it was at 2.92 GB 😳 Deleted & reinstalled and it was down to 984 MB. So I think 1.1 GB should be quite normal.

I’m also back to the delay when setting talismans. It got really slow a while back, then it was fixed, now it’s back to really slow. I’m hoping that by pointing this out, along with the others, it will make the team aware of the problem. I don’t think the devs are daily players like we are. They may not always be aware of the issues we face.

A bug that is more annoyance than anything.
Start game, play PvE and use troopers until I run out of SoT. Go to arena to play PvP and when I go to start a battle, there are no tabs to choose offense. Offense that is shown is the last offense I used in PvP. Exit game, restart and go to arena. Now, whatever the last team I used for offense is shown as tab 1, even if that's not the correct team. The other tabs remain what they were.
This game is unplayable,every battle in arena or story mission receive pop up with different error,maybe it's time to stop playing and do better things...

We gave them slightly different silhouettes to make it easier for colourblind players to differentiate between them (also one of the artists wanted to do a bit of a quality pass while he did that, so they're a bit shinier/sharper/etc).

Ah, yeah, that was brought up before, but the issue got lost in the shuffle of higher priority issues and was never addressed.
Basically, the "boss" versions of certain characters have different data entries in the game. This normally should have just minor changes (like the scale of the 3D model in the battle), but it looks like when changes/improvements were done to the collectable Masked Harpy, we missed updating that boss data as well. I'll make sure to update the boss data accordingly for a subsequent server update.

Dang, I thought it was a glitch since they all seemed a bit different. Lol okay then. By the way the game seems a bit smoother for me. I hadn't had any crashes yesterday at all. I had one small issue in PvP but I forgot what it was... I still won the battle so I guess it wasn't that important.

I've rechecked the abilities of the people on the team, and Eddie was dead at the moment, so I have no clue how as he also didn't have the little block above his head that said he could revive.

Aof was dead, one enemy left (blue demon spawn).
Revived AoF and everyone got an extra turn.
How odd. For one, it wasn't an attack. And two, i'm pretty sure the extra turn passive already went thru? (Not 100% sure if it did trigger already or not, it was on autoplay until I saw my whole team was frozen...)

I wouldn't count on it. I'm assuming arena event starts at reset today.
Another issue with perfect immunity. Prisoner ignores it for blocking passives. Team with DG and Eda. DG gets the PI, but doesn't block for any of my team.

I see nothing unusual.. clearly the Desert Marauder has Echo talismans present. He doesn't get more than 1 turn without Echo talismans. VHE has abilitites which grant him extra turns as well.
The W NBoL. has revenge. There are a couple times where revenge is triggered, then after the revenge attack...it's that team's turn. So it may look like he gets 2 hits.. but it's just his turn. Revenge does not count as his turn when it's that team's attack round. So you get revenge, then turn.. 2 attacks, but it's not a bug. And all revenge or counter characters operate this way.
There's really nothing unusual in your video.

Something strange is going on there alright. The NboL's revenge icon popped up followed by DM's attack after which the NBoL actually revenged. What I saw, which was indeed unusual, was the revenge on DG happening during the opponent's turn (after DM's attack and before the final attack from NboL)

Except, dg attacked NBoL, so shouldn't have triggered revenge. I think the grievous burns are what's triggering the extra revenge attacks, and that is bugged.

revenge popped up right after astra took damage from the burn, so you're right revenge is pretty buggy with the explosive talisman effects

It's a roll of the dice in every single match with no sure-fire way to anticipate how any character will actually act in the match. I've seen things happen which should never happen.. but they do.. and trying to detail them to get any sort of fix is, well, a time consuming process and often fruitless pursuit (cough, cough, cough.... AoF.. cough, cough). and I'm not here to beta test the game. I'd rather just grin, bear it, and move on.

Hopefully, with the videos it at least highlights the issue and devs can have a starting point. I've seen plenty of other weirdness. Think counterstrike has the same issues with falsely triggering from debuff. My favorite is GPD apparently using his basic move to cleanse himself from being stunned. Not sure how that one works.

Don't know if it's been already said, but i would add at the bugs, that after 1 day, the sots you already fought in the defence page unlock and you can fight them again. This even happened within the same day at times

With the latest update the defense bonus was again increased.
Simple: Increase defense bonus, make arena event => more money

I have to sat it´s pretty unfair that in pvp in offense all the enemies steal my possitive effects, regardless if I have perfect inmunity in the character, and I can´t steal any from them (with PI also), I have to say that there are more bugs than before, it should be the opposite.

The Defense boost implemented yesterday is silly. Out of at least 50 Pvp Matches I can count the number of times I've had first strike on one hand... with a couple fingers left over. In addition, suddenly common underpowered toons are doing way more damage than they should be doing.

I don't keep track of who goes first most of the time, I just make sure that all 4 of my fighters are alive if they go second. GPD and green Valkyrie are pretty good at making everyone survive that first round.
The only thing I have to complain about is Purge Talismans not functioning like they should when used by an aoe attacker. They only remove effects from the person you're targeting.

If this is true and not a negativity bias then you need to actually document it. For every match.
Actually write it down somewhere, not just count in your head.
There are only two possible outcomes, and it does seem to be rather streaky, but if this is the case, you need long term documentation to prove it's biased.
Long term is not 50 tries; more like 500+. And even that isn't really long term.
I don't keep track of who goes first most of the time,
I generally don't either.... but when it's obvious.. it's obvious and tends to pique an eyebrow.

Perhaps you also didn't notice that the iron coin payouts went from 12 coins to 10 coins on Monday. That "in my head" as well? Arena event... near the end, boost defense, lower payout..... yeah... I'm imagining it all.

You might want to check your ranking when you win a battle that's what causes the amount of iron coins you receive. With so many people playing arena this week your rank might be lower then normal. Top 25 is getting 15 iron coins for every win still.

Ahh.. okay.. I swapped to a "holiday" defense... and that did cause me to drop below 200, so that may be it I was unaware ranking changes iron coin drops.... Just means to hell with holiday defenses....
That to me, seems even more unnecessarily weightsed to let the people at the top, stay at the top. Man, I guess an even playing field is just about impossible.

So I did uninstalled, tried to install again and during the process at some point (very soon after NF logo appears):

Problem is that's no ''later'' - it's always now - the same - crap
So... Can't download the data again and start playing... I can't use in-game support either, cause the game not load in any way...
Uninstalled and partially installed... I am in Purgatory now :D
As for connection:
No GSM - playing ALWAYS on tablet, not the phone and using broadband Wi-Fi connection...
It's rather fine (can share HD stuff off my Mum's VAIO laptop and send it to smart TV easily... I have connected my old PlayStation3 there as well, using this Home' Network - everything's works perfect), but maybe NOT so fine to play LOTB...
Anyway... For a few days - end of the holidays - and back to my place off countryside...
If this scenario will repeat with my Wi-Fi (broadband as well, different operator)... I will uninstall LOTB with no regret felt - as this one causes much more troubles, than gives satisfaction and entertainment...

Well here is a new one for me...
Used Green droids skill to give everyone the 3 piece shield.
The red DK hit me like they weren't even there. Almost killed my whole team. The shields remained as they were before also. Wtf is up with that??

But it's not resistance. It's a force shield... It's never ignored the shield before that one time.
I've seen DK remove the shield, and everything else with his hit. But still the team takes no damage. Other than that, haven't seen anything even close.

Do you fall into this category, or do you have an eidetic memory? I've no idea, I don't know you.
You said you'd won the toss less than five times out of your last fifty matches, which does seem unlikely, but what about the fifty before that? The fifty after that?
Think it's not random? Keep a true accounting for the next 500 matches or more and see what the actual percentage is.
I don't give a damn about the arena and only play the once per day for the reward (though I am trying for 75 with the event), so I've no idea about lower payouts, defense boosts, or any other changes to the arena.

very unlikely since he grants acc up. but if we assume he would have only a 75% chance due to acc down it's still unlikely, because he didn't buff any single toon in the follwong rounds too, so chances are near to 0. but a good idea!
EDIT: i just realized AOP also doesn't give acc down to enemies when his beneficials are blocked...weird

Passive disable is not working on red and purple NBOL.
Pretty annoying hitting them first with a disabler and watching them continue to counter and remove my beneficial effects with a red x box sitting above them.
Makes it hard to be strategic when toons don’t play by the rules.

I think it's the same problem as toons that steal beneficial effects have. It only works 1/2 a turn and it's the wrong half. It would work against them, but only once it's their turn again and then it gets removed. Steal immunity and it only works for the remainder of your turn in the round and then when the defense goes again it's gone. Not sure if that makes sense, but I think it's the same issue. So, if you passive disable a NBoL he shouldn't revenge you on the defense's turn only on your turn. :D

Are you referring to the APMA errors? That happens to me a lot when I'm far away from my Wifi hub, it sucks. But usually if I wait it out (or move to a better connection area) it will catch without having to force restart it - so I don't end up losing the wins. Hopefully there's an easy fix like that for the issues you're having too.
Receiving more than 10 different errors,the worst one is when upgrading talismans and when i press back game freezeing(unlimited loading...),i play only on wifi and this errors happened with last update...

I've been getting a huge amount of APMA3 errors. Not wi-fi related, as I normally use cell since the game errors almost every match if I'm on wi-fi. Funny thing that every other app on my phone works fine with wi-fi. APMA3 can usually get to go away after a while, but had one earlier that wouldn't clear even after 20 minutes. Nothing like having to win the battle twice, and get credited for a loss on one of them.

On a side note I think I found a bug related to the Gunner Valkyrie.
My team went up against a Prisoner and I had immunity Talismans on Eda so that her perfect immunity passive wouldn't be disabled. And I also had Val the Sentinel Valkyrie on my team as well. Val had received the perfect Immunity effect as well but she still didn't grant any disruption shields to the team. Is that supposed to happen? I figured since she had perfect Immunity it would keep her passive from being disabled

That is again fraud to the players, like their laughable increased chance to get an event character.
Companies like NF should simply be banned from all app-stores, they are simply stealing money with fraudulent methods.

That’s horrible. I don’t usually have many problems with freezes and the like, but since the December update it’s been a lot worse. I just barely made it to 150 wins and the red snowman. As soon as I got that, I gave up on it.

New fun defense boost I’ve discovered. Defense can hit you with thorn shields up and they don’t reflect or apply effects to the enemy. But if they steal your thorn shields and you attack the defense they reflect and apply effects to you.

They can also reflect onto your team if the defense has grievous burns from explosive talismans and puts up a thorn shield. I've seen that a few times.

Has anyone noticed while playing PVP if the opposing team goes first, they can use all their power abilities from the get go? It does not matter how much power the team has ( usually 2). I have had it where my whole team is destroyed before I get a turn.

Why isn't the AI attacking automatic where you get class advantage or so.., would be great if we could choose if the AI attacks what it wants or the player while autoplay.
And in Arena there is a Bug which don't display the wins for last week and best..
It only shows it in the actual week.. but this is for months now..

Since the December update the game has become a joke. I can’t play more than a few levels anywhere without the game crashing. I can’t do more than a couple sacrifices without the game crashing. I can’t upgrade a bunch of characters or talismans without the game crashing.
What a mess. I never had many problems with crashes before, but since the last update, I don’t even want to log in anymore. It’s incredibly frustrating having to restart the app every 5-10 minutes while trying to run troopers. Devs, come on, I know you have a small team and are trying, but you guys should be embarrassed. It’s been a year and a half. This is pathetic right now.
Also, I don’t think it’s related to anything on my end. This all started with the dec update.

That blows! I'm on android, and mostly stable except for apma3's. And, cellular because the game chokes with WiFi.

i would like to encourage everyone to use an emulator. i didn't have any issues for weeks now (aside some apmas, which were credited as wins after retrying to connect).
i use leapdroid and i'm more than happy with it's stability. but i prefer to play on PC anyway.

Along with everyone else, the game is playing terribly since the Dec update. I've had more crashes in the past 2 weeks than in the past 6 months. Crash at the victory page of every type of battle at least 3-5 times a day. I don't keep a tally of my items and resources so I really don't know if I'm getting the "rewards" or not most of the time.
I don't want to have to uninstall and reinstall for the fear of it not working at all afterwords. I don't have a pc to download an emulator. So basically have to wait it out and hope you guys fix the game.
For once, just pause the events and put all your resources on fixing the game...

A few minutes ago the game had me connect to WIFI to install new data but I didn't see any new content after the install finished, maybe devs pushed some bug fixes.

I doubt it's bug fixes. I think most of the bug fixes require updating the actual app. When it installs new data, I believe that is more related to game content (new fragments, characters, souls, etc.). The new data is probably preparation for the next event.

That blows! I'm on android, and mostly stable except for apma3's. And, cellular because the game chokes with WiFi.
True, I play on an Android with cellular as well and even on my mid-tier phone I hardly have issues other than the occasional lag when someone has an abundance of shields or visual effects. The only errors I get are apma3 on occasion however when it stops the rewards from previous fights are received. Since they didn't happen nearly as often before the update I can agree that something got worse with the servers.

I know they gotta get new customers and shit, but can't we have a month or 2 taken from R6 Siege's Operation Health and work the kinks out a bit? Find out why the servers can't handle the load and we get MACRO all the time (even though, you guys should know the load because the events are monthly)? Why plugging my phone in causes a crash, or why the game hangs for a second when you're about to win (something that was fixed before a patch last year)?
Though, I am happy that multitude of crashes no longer uses your trooper.

My most common issue since the update is quests not resetting - so when you complete one a press next it crashes the game - if I play quests by going back to skull quests screen and making sure I click on the one I know is not completed it works OK. Does anyone else have this issue since last update? It easy enough to workaround of course but defo a glitch somewhere.

I can't play on wifi at all. Nothing loads. And now for some reason, when loading the game it wants me to choose which email i'm connected to and if I choose the one, it just loads and loads. I have to hit the back button and it loads eventually. It's just weird... Since it connects me to my account correctly when i don't choose it. I don't know, but this game is bugged way more than before.

Had the exact same issue with the quests a couple of updates back. Fixed it by uninstalling the game, restarting the ipad, and then reinstalling.
