Leviathan and team - thanks for the preview into 2018! A lot of really exciting things to look forward to. Relics will add a cool new dimension to the game, and the different game modes are sounding quite intriguing on paper. I've always been a fan of encouraging roster depth. And, having new ways to interact with this awesome community will be great!

It's a shame time passes too damn slowly, I'm really fucking eager to get to play all of this in the near future. 2018 is shaping up to be a nice year for the game, it seems. Thanks for the update, NF! Keep up the great work!

Glad you listened to my idea for a gauntlet mode. Clearly that idea would never have happened if I hadn’t posted about it. ;) Looking forward to that game mode and nearly everything else!

It was refreshing to read that list, I look forward to those updates! Im pretty excited for Silent planet the most, but also night city and the new characters. and the relic system seems pretty cool as well!

SoT are ridiculously low, I hope this is gonna change with the new worlds or modes when they start coming up, if SoT are kept the same I expect to see a lot of rants about it.

I still suspect that Night City is just a myth invented to frighten children, and will never actually be real, but I have high hopes for the rest of it! ;)

Don’t get me wrong though I love the idea and will be keeping a deep roster just for this.

Good thing we have 300 character slots now to keep all those dupes. Well unless I can beat the game with my pocket hourglasses

Interesting I have roughly 100 characters and have pretty much all I'd want, save VHE and anything new. No need for even 300 slots here. Just a waste of XP, gold, and talismans. It's not like I'll ever think "Oh, good thing I have those dice!" or "So glad I kept that Imp." :)

I also liked A LOT of what I read... endure pve content is awesome news!, weekly resetting tower & gauntlet promise to keep even the most master-players out there entertained with a real challenge for a long time.

Yup, I’m debating whether I shouls actually Sacrafice my dupe VHE now.

Wonder if when they say you can only use a character once, if that’ll somehow include dupes? I think it’ll be better if it did, but I doubt it will.

that's the key question. will 2 VHEs be usefull? the devs should tell us their plans before the next sacrifice event, otherwise there will be good reasons to rant.

I don't have anymore info than anyone else, but when the devs expand the character slots to 300, it really hints that you should hang onto your useful dupes. I've also seen a huge increase in drops of toons that have the Block passive. I've been saving them all up, since the game tends to drop toons that you'll need in the near future. Like when new missions come out, you always seem to pull the lower toons that have the exact skillset you'll need to complete a mission.

Yup. Would be very handy to know how Gauntlet works before the next Sacrifice event.

How many levels will there be to clear?
Will it be like every other game mode and you have to use an Eddie?
How many Allies slot will be available? 2, 3, or more?
Can Troopers be used in it?
If you get defeated do the toons you used become unusable or can they be used again to try and clear it and they only become unusable once that level is cleared? Silly if it’s the latter.

If it is like every game mode and you have to use an Eddie than dupes could become a necessity for some. Say we have 20 Levels to clear. Not everyone might have 20 individual Eddies. Dupes would be needed for people to finish it. If it was 30 Levels, I would need Dupes as I only have 24 Eddies

And if Eddies have to be used, then it doesn’t matter how deep your roster is. How many Eddies you have becomes more important.

That being said, I am really looking forward to this game mode. Sonething I’ve wanted for a while!

Hoping the devs can answer some of these questions soon. Even if the answers are slightly veiled to have some secrecy with these new features, but if they don’t give some sort of hint I can see a lot of sacrifice events having a lack luster response. Which is really a shame since I think sacrifice is one of the best features in the game.

We are still working out the specifics of some of these issues in playtesting, so it's too early to comment on the exact format at the moment. The mode will launch in a beta stage in the not too distant future and so we'll be able to comment more on the final format and structure then.

I had a feeling this was the unannounced game mode that was coming that was going to be beta first. So probably safe for most people to BBQ their dupes this coming sac event. Is there any criteria on who might be beta testing this? I believe last time, arena was beta tested based on geography, but I could be wrong on that and that’s just what some people thought.

last time it was canada and some forum mofos. since we are pretty vocal here it we dumb to exclude us, so if you want to increase your beta testing chances start to spam the forums from now on :P

I think letting some of the early players of the game test the new beta would be a nice touch:cool:

If that severely complicates things though, I would rather not be a tester and get the mode sooner.

Great to know. I assumed info would come in due course when you are ready. Nice to know it’s in the not too distant future.

Because of the nature of gauntlet I am hoping it’s people who have the rosters to handle it. That’s why made sure to expand to 300 as quickly as I could. 😀

Also high ranking members in PvP and the forums wouldn’t hurt either.

I think that the introduction of Relics makes the option to be able to hide your characters from copycats a MUST.
It’s ridiculous enough that the attack teams in the arena have been made visible (a very bad move imho). But now that we will finally have an opportunity to make our characters unique i think the devs should reconsider the whole system of being able to scout other players...even troopers if you ask me.

I have to admit, I have not been excited about this game for a long time. I think that mechanically it is a good and fun game but I hate pvp games. I was super-invested early on with the single-player plot but will never EVER do arena (I play several phone games where I completely ignore the arena aspect).
That said, while I feel like the game has lately catered to the PVP player, I have come back lately to enjoying the basic gameplay. After all, who can hate bashing enemies to Iron Maiden soundtracks, right?
So, anyway, I love the new Behind the Mask levels. I am totally into the music and love the graphics of that dungeon. Great work! Just wanted to say thanks for giving a jaded player a fun new level to play! I still refuse to do any PVP activities out of principal and miss a ton of new content because of it, but this is the first non-plot dungeon I have appreciated so far.

My request is Awakening material availability increased, purchasable class specific packs and more of everything dropping from play as this feature really requires a massive investment. Seems the rapid deployment of new dungeons, characters, awakening materials etc. coincidence with the constant server problems. Too many players may add to it, but the server connection disruption is still an issue, and a major one.
