Hello my fellow trooper,

My name is Moonchild-6759. I've been playing this game since the very beginning as "free-to-play" and are currently at 175 max level characters and almost 40 of these are fully skill-sharded. I've never been that active on the forum as a "writer" but i've always read what was going on in here. I've been in doubt if i should make this thread or not but i decided to do it.

The point of this thread is to draw attention to some of the aspects of the game that i feel have not been talked in depth and need some handling. I have grouped the topics in an order i find logically and i try to state what i hope people will discuss and what i intend to leave out due to good thread on those topics already being around.
(*Here we go, sorry, it got long*)

Daily play

- Awards of Gold vs. shards/runes

My thoughts on the awards:
Lets take the following playing as an example of your income in 1 day, talking gold: You'll get 120k from the 2 skull-quests. Other than that you then play 51 times more (all troopers at lvl 100). Each of these battles award approx 6k gold. 120k+51*6k=426k gold.
Lets look at 2 situations:
1) I have a lvl 80 4* that i now want to upgrade to 5* and level to 100 using shards: 172026 gold + approx 160000 gold for the lvls. This is equal to 330k gold for upgrading the character.
2) I have a lvl 40 4* talisman that i wasn to upgrade to 5* lvl 50: 65970 gold + 210000 gold. This is equal to approx 270k gold for a talisman. (You ofc need 6 to be competitive aka 1620k)
This shows that to take a lvl 80 4* with no talismans and a bunch of lvl 40 4* (which also costs gold to get there) you need to play all troppers (the example above) for 5days to achieve a fully upgraded character.
In this example i've not counted in the need to get the character to that point and the fact that gold is also used to open souls etc.

I am aware that you can earn gold by selling the stuff you earn during your daily play, but as it stand for me, i'm out of gold. In the store you can buy 2 skill-shards and 1 legendary soul every week for the cost of in total 14M gold. Earning these 426k gold every day for a month of 31 days not spending a penny on anything, you earn 13.2M.
I do not believe your progress in this game should be held back by the amount of gold you earn but rather by getting the materials needed and the wanted talismans.

You may argue that you do earn more gold due to selling talismans etc, but i still believe my argument holds. We need to earn more gold if the prices are to remain the same. In my eyes this can be done with either an event monthly that allows you to collect enough gold to last untill the next event or some of the upcoming content could be focused on earning gold. (LoL on shards, BnW on talismans and runes, ... you get the point).

Arena

- The battle for top-spots in arena

This one is important to point out for me but i do not have any idea what so ever how to change it. The problem is the reset time of the arena. Currently, living in Denmark (Time Zone: CET), the arena rankings resets at 01:00 the night between Saturday and Sunday (this will be 02:00 during summer). I would personally like to fight for a good spot (my best so far is 51 a few months back) but the reset during the night makes it almost impossible as my schdule prevents me from playing after 22:00. The fact that quite a few people fight for those spots makes it extremly difficult to achieve some good ranks if you are unable to play during the night which makes you loose a lot of ranks in the end.
You are free to say that it is just my problem not being dedicated enough but i would just like to put attention to the topic to see if i'm alone on this or if anyone else has the same problem.

Events

- Implementation of a "bad-luck-prevention"-system (BLP)

We have all (i assume) gone through an event not recieving anything but 3* harpies. I would therefore suggest that during the event, some sort of BLP could be introduced. It could be very simple: Lets say there are 3 new even-characters A, B and C. These 3 can all be obtained from Event-soul along with any other 3* og better character. The chance of getting either A,B or C starts at 1% (I'm just making up numbers). There could be a system that during the event made it so that for every Event-soul opened the chance of getting A,B or C would increase by 0.5% (again, fictive number). When you suddently get either A,B or C the chance would go back to 1% and it would all start over again.
This system should only apply during the event and only to Event-souls. This would reward people who spend time preparing (say for a sac-event) and help them earn atleast on of the event-characters.
I simple system awarding the players who puts in the effort

Other matters

These are just ment to be listed as points i have not chose to discuss in depth because i assume NF is aware of them due to the amount of threads out there with these as focus:
(Please keep the discussion on the above points and leave these to threads with them as focus please, thanks).

-Bugs
-Chashes
-Unbalanced arena teams using multiple of the same character
-Timeconsuming trooper-play.
-Events

If you made it this far, thanks a lot. I would love to hear responses and hopefully we can get a good discussion.
(Sorry for any grammar mistakes, hope you get the point anyway)

Hi Moonchild.

My thoughts are gold earned by farming is pretty good. I level up most toons by just taking them while farming. It takes longer, but only a few toons that are worth leveling up instantly. Save my gold for more important things. Level talismans a little bit at a time. Only once in a while get a new set that's worth leveling them all at once. Patience and constantly leveling for free where you can pays off.

I agree the arena reset leaves a lot to be desired, but until the devs come up with a solution just have to live with it. The week I made eternal, it was more than 24 hours before reset that I had it locked up. Most weeks top 50 is easy, and that's with me taking a break from PvP about 10 hours before reset. So, even with the reset time being bad for you, it doesn't make it impossible.

As far as the bad luck prevention, there have been several other good suggestions in other threads regarding this. Hopefully the devs are considering one or more of them. We can only wait and see.

The other things have all been brought up numerous times as well. Bugs, just part of the meta. Crashes, not cool (having that issue since the last update). Unbalanced arena, adapt and survive. Time to play all troopers, an issue that the devs have stated is a current priority for them. So, hopefully something coming on that soon.

Cheers,
Askora
