The avian and the desert/nil-themed events may be good. If i look at the background, this reminds me off the Run to the Hills Single-Artwork.

I agree Gunner Cannoneer probably means that there's an increased drop rate for Navigator Eddie.

I have a good number of 4 star characters saved up, but after the last sacrifice event I cannot get the generic 3 star evolution shards to drop very frequently. I wanted to do another Ultimate Sacrifice for the January event but couldn't evolve my characters to reach it being short of the generic shards.
I'm running all 50 of my troopers through underworld every day and only seem to come up with a few each day.

I hope wasting love has to do with sacrificial hearts somehow. I've been saving those up hoping February might have an event around them.

Tim,
I would recommend you to try the LoL dungeons for 3* Evo shards. I think that it has been recently set up that way, that 3* evo shards and other end game resources (rare souls,top tier shards and runes,talismans) move all into their own game modes and the cosmos drops has been lowered to 2* materials, to help player through the “mid game”, untill they are ready to go farm for specific resouces in their own dungeons.

Give it a try. spend a few days farming mostly LoL (even do a SoT reset for tropers) and you’ll see how that pans out for you.

Yeah I never plan on 3 star evo stones anywhere but LOL. They can drop (infrequently) from Underworld or sacrifices, but LOL is more common (but still not regular).

Avian invasion could be a new set of avian toons.... like the Valkyries or Mayan Preistesses.. then the later events could be for other toons in same set like Witch Doctor and Sentinel Priestess... Just all gunner class this time.

Should be a Jofer Eddie, a mash up of all Eddies I generated tears off of. And where’s the Jofer1000 event? It’s the house I built after all. The wind sent word that Carlos is still in the mix, good to hear one of the real ones still exists. I’d call out the lames but they aren’t even significant enough in their skill in this game for me to remember their names lol. The ones I do remember that weren’t completely terrible either went ghost or apologized, real recognize real.

What a long strange trip it’s been. Youtubes for anniversary old times sake, many dreams were crushed to this anthem...

I think that a Horus character should be possible; in November I experienced a pvp glitch where Horus was involved. It would be cool to get astet, Sekmet and Horus.

I'm a tiny bit miffed about this. They're adding Killers Eddie as a fucking BIRD before they actually put him in the game. On the other hand, I'm wondering of the person who made the executive decision to do this is okay... I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, the little buggers are adorable. I want all of them, especially the Cyborg!

If my opinion matters a little, I find this a very welcome mash-up of universes, and a pretty solid way to attract more players to LotB, and the more players that keep playing this game the better on the long run.

And I just hope the special characters are not hidden behind a wall of Souls, cause man, I honestly don't find any soul event attractive at all... more expensive souls for the same* chance. (*No matter if the chance is increased its still pretty low, and no, I am not complaining here, that's the way this game works since the first day I played, so I am pretty used to my RNG nightmarish luck by now).

Nice move from both Rovio and NF.

And I also think that we will have an app update (hopefully with all the changes implemented) today, which is always welcome either.

That’s my worry if they are new moves and such limited characters these better be semi accessible characters. If they are all 5 star can only be gotten by some sort of limited event soul I can see a lot of people not being happy. Where as if they are just reskined characters don’t see it being as big a deal except killer Eddie bird becoming the big chase character then.

i'd guess it's more like a skin/costume kind of thing. maybe you can swich your cyborg to an angry bird cyborg if you want, something like that. even i dislike this specific design, it could become very attractive if we could design our eddies and other toons more and more as time goes by. like carlos once said a black/whide/red nomad costume/skin could be very attractive...

but well let's wait and see, although the speculation itself is fun too :)

Angry birds in LotB? Really? Wasn't the community p*ssed enough when the valkyres were added, as they had nothing to do with Iron Maiden!?!
(besides the fact, that Green and Purple Valkyre are still the best damp PVP-characters)
Unless those Eddie-Birds are a killer for PVP, I'll save my ironites for the next event. (two fragment events are still coming)

Well, I like and welcome this type of cross-over, listen, they really don't belong to the Maiden world, and this is what makes it just awesome, they are well know cross-over characters, you will play then knowing they don't belong. It's not the same as the Valks for ex, where they are supposedly to be a part of this universe.

Honestly, just don't take this type of cross-over events too serious, we will be playing then and having fun while doing it.

My thought is the mega part is because it's a two week event. A little misleading, but hopefully will be fun. Besides, if they're considered allies, it'll mean an all Eddie team can be created. :cool:

Should've be called an "X-Event" would be much more appropriated in my opinion, would still generates a lot of speculation (X Factor) and would be a nice trolling from NF since the name would fit the Cross-Over theme pretty well.

I really am curious to see it, one way or the other, tbh. lol The whole "Mega Event" thing though came across to me as misleading...especially for long-time players. I mean, they know how jaded some of us are, and I think they wanted to inflate our expectations, which would be fine, if they were delivering some long-awaited content, but feels very bait-and-switch to me otherwise. Had this been billed from the outset as a "Crossover Event," it would have felt much more honest. Just my thoughts. :cool: The artwork from the press release alone screams: "Don't take all this too seriously, you wankers!" lol :cool:

There will be 100% guaranteed* ways of getting each Bird, but they will also be available via event souls for the duration of the event (you may want some extras...). And like any of our "limited" characters, any characters you actually summon you keep forever as long as you don't Sacrifice or Sell them; they'll just not be available from regular souls (both during the event and after the event is over).

More details will be released when the event starts.

I honestly don't have nothing against the Soul system, that's part and always will be a part of this game, just my luck sometimes gives me nightmares (spent all I had at the SSE event and those Red Eyes didn't revealed him [just as example]).

I just don't like the 100% rng/chance/luck aka Souls events that much.

And if NF are giving a way of us getting then outside and inside of Souls, I couldn't be more happy about it. (Always liked and always will like anytime there is an option to the player).

This applies to this and every event.

And yeah, I am hyped to play with the Birds, bring then in!!!!

If it's 100% and its deployed as an alternative way of getting the chars, that's fine by me...

By the looks of spartons one caveat I am thinking you can get a guaranteed soul but will take some grinding which will take ironite and that’s how they make their profit. Would be fun to figure out the 4 ways to get the souls quick. One for Arena, LOL, dropping souls and sacrifice?

Can't wait to see the Gunner Cannoneer. I'm pretty sure that this is part of the Trooper set of characters. They already released an Undead Crimean Soldier as a basic ally, and this would add yet another basic character to what is obviously an eventual Trooper themed world.

Since an arena event was used to earn the Crimean Soldier, I would assume the same here.

It's as per what slauki suggested; some event data was live for a short period when we released the last update, so some people got the event character ahead of it's event starting.

I never seen or heard of any hearts till now. Well hopefully it won't be just a Tier 6+ kind of event or else I don't see myself really participating at all. I support a relation to the pumpkin event though, that would be really cool.

we might see free dismay on friday since the last two free BNW days were also friday. when lol starts on sunday we might see a first fragment event for approx 3 days and after that they could start the 2nd one in the arena. both events might also overlap. this would be my guesses at least :)

I would expect the first frag event to start today, since the Sacrifice and feathered events end today. Could be that the Dismay was accidental and should have been the LOL being open? Or that Dismay No More is appearing out of order in the Feb list... or maybe it'll be here today. Otherwise Friday makes sense.

Would make sense if Dismay is out of order. Most Lol frags events start Tuesday. So, Lol for 3 days, BNW on Friday and arena event Saturday. Maybe they're just trying to confuse us.

Managed to complete the final feathered celebration. A lot of grinding in BNW. Overall about a 400 ironite net cost on the whole event, so not too bad. Frags for about 7 evo souls.

The log jam of events that we didn't want to overlap with Avian Invaders will spill slightly into March, but all of our teased events are still on track to at least start in February.

There's a minor update coming at the end of the current events to set up stuff for the upcoming events, plus a few other changes/fixes.

I'll post the changes in the February 6th 2018 Update Discussion (http://forum.ironmaidenlegacy.com/showthread.php?9778) when the maintenance has concluded with the changes.
