Battling my way up from 300 in last 4hrs. Had 4 victories which each gave me a -19 score ( so 152pt turn around). Then was sitting in 196 place with 3 minutes to go, and then it ticked over to say I was 886. WTF.

Also got beaten by the same player 3 times in the last minute. How is that possible. Aaahh!!!!! !

Similar thing happened to me. I lost 4 times to one player and 3 times to another all in a one minute span right before reset. I don't see how that is possible, especially since there was no way they had that many revenges possible against me.

The exact same thing happened to me, Jason-5521. I was at 93 and fell to 174 (loss of 40-60 points). 3 attacks and wins by the same player in one minute is not possible. I also had not attacked the other player for days, if at all this week. This Screenshot was taken a minute or two prior to reset.

Same here and I swear it wasn’t the first time. Something stinks here. I was revenged three times in a row by Firerider in the last five minutes. Every Saturday I see the same people kicking me out of the ranks. Ash, jersxjers, mammy...

Seems even more silly to chase the arena wins. I've always thought it was a pointless effort... seems it is, really, unless you are paying for some sort of hack.


I wonder if you can log on with multiple devices, start the same arena match on all 3... then wait ... win one.. refresh all 3 and all 3 win? Just guessing... and speculating.

3 losses are possible in short time 1 from list and two from revenges. but it's not possible to win 3 fights in one minute, so would be cool if someone could investigate this. this is really strange....

edit: and the new antispam protection is out of control too, had to verify myself 5 times before i was able to post....

Seeing the same thing happen to several other forum members puts it in a different light. That seems to be far too frequent to be coincidence, especially considering that's a small sample size. How many non-forum members had it happen?

I don't typically look much at the defense tab as I find it pointless unless you're trying to revenge. Guess I need to pay a little closer attention. Hopefully NF is checking into this.

Hope you're right slauki. A trusted and respected member of the forum mentioned to me that certain people where back to their old tricks. Certainly what it looks like. I'm not sure how someone would exploit the system either, other than possibly something already mentioned. Of course, most people aren't so pathetic that they have to resort to cheating. Spoils the game for the good players.

In-game hacks wouldn't be a new obstacle for me. Some time ago I had my best defense broken by someone who's attackers were all 2-4* I revenged that team and eliminated all with a single AOE. Not to mention I've once seen players with their player levels in the 20's and 40's in the top 50 or even less so I wouldn't be surprised if some of those lonely people are at it again with their game hacks.

Not only are hacks against the rules, they're also against the spirit of the game. Just takes the fun out of earning your rewards.

This may not be hackers. Just fought cmmc and first time I lost, second try I won but when I went back to my attack list, it should have cleared but cmmc still has an option for me to attack. I'm not a dick to cmmc so I won't exploit this.

Maybe tomorrow Spartan or someone will enlighten us on the subject.

Checked the times on my pics. Taken 6 minutes apart, so Amarthir could be right but that's pretty closely spaced. 4 wins in under 6 minutes. Even a quick win usually takes me at least a minute due to waiting on the server.

They did make changes that required deleting our defense data, so could be server end. I'm going to continue to monitor and post any that look peculiar. Will be interesting to see if the same names come up regularly.

When I saw it, I looked for him in top 100. He was about #43 I think. Checked today and don't see him in top 100. So, weak defense? Or, my guess is NF did something. I can't swear to it, but think it was the same person last week. Doubt he's the only one.

Haven't seen a similar string of attacks since my post yesterday.

This was the 4th week in a row when I got kicked out of the top 50, in the last minutes, close to reset. I can't say if I was attacked by the same people every time, but I was attacked a lot, and some of the names I see in this thread sound kinda familiar to me, too. I'm sure that the devs have the possibility to do some investigations and clarify things, if necessary.

My defense list does not show these things right now but I remember that a few weeks ago (or probably during the last area event) it happened to me that when I did some attacks, then some revenges and went back to the attack list, that I could attack again the same people that I won against before. I can't remember the details of switching back and forth and if I opened the shop in between or something like that. But it seems that somehow it was/is possible that the game does "forget" that you already won against some people from your list. Maybe this might help to find the problem and more important: a solution!?

Last week I was holding on to 5th and with about 15 minutes to go I saw I was ahead of Saluki by about 60 points, 5 minutes later I was down 60. I know Saluki is good but I doubt he got 120 points in 5 minutes. I am thinking it’s just how quickly the tracker updates some times.

well man now you mention it i was surprised too. i got top 5 by accident, i thought you were not playing. i pushed 1,5 hours before reset just to make sure to get top 10, then i saw that you were not far ahead and i pushed a little more, but was kinda surprised to get there...my def was doing okay, so that definetly helped, and but my speed is only average compared to guys like carlos i fear...

I thought about it and came to the conclusion that it must be zone talis in either Eda or GPD. I have to take a closer look the next time I face him.

It’s the zone talismans on the dog I thought it was a glitch one time cause same animation for when he heals when all of sudden I am doomed I didn’t know what happened at first. Then he did it a second time I think it’s a really good defense if you under estimate it. Makes me want to look into zone talismans more.

Still no signs of multiple simultaneous attacks to my defense. Along with that my rank has jumped tremendously. I'm still ahead of the system so I'm sure it'll drip a bit, but looking better than it did.

Last minute rank can jump around a bit depending on the level of play at your rank. When you're outside the top 100 it's impossible to tell how many players have the same points. We've already seen that when two players have identical points, the tie goes to the person who comes up first alphabetically. That could account for some of the jumping around in the numbers after reset. Also, as JJJ mentioned the tracker may not be 100% accurate.

I don't normally share my play style as it's part of my strategy, but making an exception. Unless there's a PvP event or it's the end of the month and I'm needing iron coins for the double reset in arena store, I just play my free Sow. I use my Sow as I get them, so very rarely clear lists other than in the morning after they've accumulated while I slept. If I lose to someone's defense I just move on to the next one down, which means there shouldn't be multiple revenges by the same person in a short period. And, Saturday I quit playing pvp about 10 hours before reset. I don't generally bounce around much on Saturday in the rankings as my play style allows the system to keep up and so don't get attacked much before reset.

If there's an event or it's end of the month all bets are off. :D That's what works for me, don't know that it's the best strategy or whether it will work for anyone else, but it's also why the multiple attacks by one person really stand out.

That’s why you not only have to be good, you have to be great! :) I beat those “certain people” even while they cheated and cried like babies claiming the opposite lol.

Figured I’d chime in because I heard of the PvP blasphemy. I’m kind of shocked there’s no dev response here. Problem is it seems there’s nobody left that cares. In the first few instances of cheating and odd results/standings the Founding Fathers of Arena literally had to burn these forums down to get the devs to pay an ounce of attention and investigate.

Now those days are gone, the hamsters are just happy running in the wheel and life goes on. Guessing arena doesn’t make much money and doesn’t generate interest much anymore because the excitement of competition has been extinguished by them. So why should they focus on fixing it if the core players aren’t passionate about it? It makes sense actually. Focus on pumping out new toons and licensing opportunities instead of the game because that’s what people throw money at. Chase out the wolves and the sheep will play. I see the angle.

Bummer for you PvPers, better to focus on collecting characters and such in this game now until the community decides to light the fire of competition again. Feel sadness for the new people commenting about these issues, remembering the days I just started before arena began preparing for the moment to battle the ranks against my fellow headbangers with such excitement and desire. We’ve always said this game has so much potential.

Hang in there Gladiators, never succumb to cheating yourself and remain noble amidst the sea of snakes.

Got attacked yesterday at least 9 times from 2 players within 2 minutes. First I got attacked four times in a row by player "ChesBellota". As he lost the first three times he attacked that seems to be okay, but what makes it weird is that all fights were shown to have appeared within a 1-2 minute span. Even weirder: just after these attacks (shown to be in the same minute as the "ChesBellota" attacks), I got attacked five times in a row by user "Yoba" who won every single one of these battles - also within a 1-2 minute span. I have no clue how this could even be possible. Pretty sure that I attacked neither one of them before.
