I stopped completely chasing after stuff and go for the skillshards. I have enough toons to be more or less competitive and if luck strikes I will have the skillshards to power the new toon. I am missing a few ones that I really want to have (Nomad, AoF, GCR) - but I'm still going for the skillshards.
Well at the moment I am just saving trooper points as I want to be ready in case Trooper Eddie shows up :)
Yeah but how'd u 'earn' those souls. That's my point. At work so no time but it's like Nicko was talking about in a post on people getting certain toons & whatnot. Just too much coincidence in this game to be just that...coincidence. Not accusing anyone of anything. It's a game...play the game.
I earned those souls as a result of sacrificing some of the dupe characters the event dropped me. So in this case I received some bad RNG along with very good RNG.
There's nothing to suggest any tampering is at play here and if I even had the suspicion of such, I think I would quit playing right then and there.
Same as MoonShadow i had a period when i only bought GA souls for badges in a chase for the prisoner. never got anything valuable out of them.
When sacrifice was introduced i ended up with 13 GA souls....got nothing but 3* dupes.
After this immortal event (which awarded me with a VE dupe and 2!!! rainmaker dupes btw) i ended up with 6 GA souls from an ultimate sacrifice...guess what i got...yeah Fall!
Don't take me as the average, because i have been known in all the games i've played in my career to be MrBadLuck, but i wouldn't waste trooper badges on them.
I was even stupid enough once to but that great deal of 1 GA soul for 30€...resulted in a 3* slap in the face.
I don't get spartons defensive of these souls. IMO they should be the same value as rare, for from my experience they only give crap...why not?!
But the philosophy of NF seems to be so twisted at times...it seems like things like skill shards and GA souls should be "near impossible" to get in their opinion. i just don't get it...WHY? why not just let players have fun and feel rewarded for their effort?!
The way I see it, the G/A souls should at least be worth 1/3 of what regular souls are worth. For instance, through trooper points, G/A souls cost 3x the amount of magus, sentinel, and warrior souls. Using that as an example, why shouldn't G/A souls be rewarded at 1/3 the amount of what you'd get for a rare soul reward? With this conversion in mind, a tier VI sacrifice, which can normally reward 50 rare souls, would then have a chance of rewarding 17 (rounded up) G/A souls. Not a measly 4 G/A souls. This also gets into the issue where G/A souls are without a doubt the worst reward to get for a vortex fill. They almost shouldn't even be a reward there IMO. I'd much rather get only legendary souls or skill shards without any chance of a meager amount of G/A souls, considering how long it takes to fill the vortex meter.
Yeah, that is known. It seems like it's a general issue for all set effects which add to defense.
You can be assured that the defense the set effect should provide is accounted for in combat, though, even though the My Team screen isn't reporting it correctly.
Weeeeell... the only reason we were willing to put Rare Souls into that reward tier is if we gave a quantity that's well above what the natural progression of a Rare Soul reward would be. If we wanted the Rare Soul quantities to be more of what the natural progression should be relative to the last tier (where you can get 10-15 Rare Souls in Tier V, and are about twice as likely to get Rare Souls in Tier V compared to Tier VI), it'd be closer to 30-35 souls, but we wanted to bump it up because we figured people would consider 35 Rare Souls for that sacrifice to be the dud draw (ironically).
That said, I can see where you and others are coming from in terms of the Rare Gun/Assassin Souls are probably being valued a bit too much relative to Rare Souls, so I'll discuss more with Kaz and have a look at it for a future update. I don't think I'd want to go as far as removing them from higher tiers (as per Tritium's suggestion), but Tritium's idea of them being closer to 1/3 the value is probably better, so I'd look at bumping quantities in the higher tiers accordingly.
We're cookin' something up right now, so maybe soon that'll be the case...
We're still investigating what is a probably cause at this point, but again, I'd recommend contacting Support about the issue. They may have other solutions to help get you out of the bad state you're in, or that can better help us troublehsoot what the underlying issue is (I asked our CS team if they got something from Tritium-3455, and they said not recently).

I've discussed this a bit more with Kaz, especially in light of the various concerns and examples brought up regarding Wrath and Visions Eddie (and to a lesser extent, other stat removers).
The official stance Kaz wants me to communicate is that Wrath is not intended to have such a high chance of removal; it was an oversight from taking a character that was previously only a PVE boss to become a collectable character. His beneficial effect removal chance should not be scaling and will be rectified in a future update.
The intention is that beneficial effect removals should not be too reliable, unless the unit is primarily utility or support based (Sentinel Undead Rescuer, the Clairvoyant, Visions Eddie, etc). All other units with a high chance will see adjustments to their removal chance in an upcoming update to make them a bit more balanced.
Regarding countering buff removal, that is something we want to be very careful of, because otherwise it risks completely invalidating entire strategies in a way that then cannot be counter-played (whereas more moderate "remove all buffs" chances and higher "remove single buff" chances means that protecting your entire team with many buffs is at least something of an answer). It is something we want to add into the game at some point, but not in a widely available manner (like the many options to get Immunity onto your team).
Sparton, yet again, you prove why we love interacting with you. Thanks for the in-depth response, man! I'm glad that you and Kaz are willing to look into our concerns with the G/A rewards. The only reason I thought they should be removed from the vortex reward was because of their current meager payout. If the number of G/A souls rewarded for a vortex fill were increased, I wouldn't mind receiving them at all (hell, a crazy but fun idea would be receiving a stack of 50 of them, like what you'd get for rare souls in Tier VI+ since vortex fills take so long to achieve. That may be too much though :p).

Well, dunno bout this... there is most probably no intentional manipulation of such, but I've dumped countless souls to the book and still haven't received CRE / CG / War CotD from the initial characters (speaking of rare souls only) - whereas I had at least 2 dupes of everything else - which leaves me in doubt sometimes, but it can simply happen that I'm that unlucky :D
Sparton, thank you for looking into the matter of Tier VI sacrifice G/A reward, also thanks for the mysterious note of something good approaching us :D

Heads up to all the chaps still following this jolly thread; a second hot fix update has been released, and is propagating to your platforms of choice.
I've updated the original patch notes with a new EDIT: Hot Fixes section at the bottom. This summarizes the fixes that have been released within the last week, including a bunch of things that were fixed with this most recent release.
Communication and game itself with all events and everything are on highest level ever, thank you (and all of you) so much.

It's something on my mind as an addition I'd also like to add, but it fights in priority against things like using multiple troopers in a battle or helping new players with more targetted objectives to help learn the ropes of the game, so it's not something I think we'll be adding any time soon. Thanks for the reminder about it, though.
It's a known issue where some of the passives in the game stay non-functional in certain scenarios even when the Passive Disabled debuff expires/is cleansed. We don't have a fix committed for that yet, so I'm not sure if that'll be in the next update, but if it's not in the next one, then hopefully the following one.

I played many games in my life and you sure beat everyone on that section.
I reported that through the ingame support but i would like to add it here too.
Before the second hotfix, that required to download new content, my achievements were 21/120. After the update i could claim it and i did because i thought you fixed it but now i got 21/40 so the one i claimed was the 21/20 and i didn't notice. Now it shows that i have 4 unclaimed achievements but nothing there to claim.
One bad side effect on my side with this new update is the fact that Legacy application is restarting if I switch to any other application (phone, SMS, mail, ...)
That's quite annoying because previously it was OK even with an ongoing level.
Also it means that I lost as my trooper some badges...
May the memory footprint has been increased and my Nexus 5 could not provide enough?
How I should report this? by mail?
That's also raises the question:
We all see from time to time issue that are hard to track, may it could be good to put in place some bug/feedback website/application?
I would think that free solution exist and could help to find root cause with crossed information :)
Sparton, do you have any news in respect to the Immunity bug?
While it is nice, that the Prisoner is somehow being looked at, every "fix" makes things far worse. Now he blocks Talisman buffs as well. Since he already blocks the above mentioned Repeal passive - even if it is protected by Immunity Talismans - there is absolutely no way to counter a taunt festival and it is worse than half a year ago.
I think the Prisoner is also blocking active effects form Talismans (e.g. Void Shields and Energy procs, but that is hard to verify...especially when taunted all the time :p )
Two things, did something happen with the new ascension talismans. I could have sworn I had 6 of them and put them all on my new Viking eddy just for testing and I went to look and they are all gone and no longer in my inventory. So not sure if something happened to cause them to poof.
Second thing I know the thing around here is to complain about RNGesus, I am really thinking the cache's are better then the hoards. The cache i got two talismans, soul pieces, AND a skill shard. The hoard I got a void talisman for the 2nd time. I think something should be fixed with this we shouldn't be getting talismans in the skull quest we can get else where correct?
Yeah, the issue we fixed is some achievements counting too much progress when they shouldn't (such as getting 10 Fragments but it giving +20 to your "collect fragments" achievement progress). The issue where the "complete achievements" one is not counting all of the achievements you've done is still not working correctly, but should be fixed and retroactively counting those correctly for the next major update (no ETA for that yet).
That's definitely not an intended side effect of the update. Unless there is something else that is also hogging your memory (or an OS update is demanding more resources), we don't expect backgrounding the app to be so fickle with killing the process. I've let our QA team know, and they'll investigate further.
It's surprisingly time consuming just to compile the patch notes; keeping track of another bug database would be even worse, sadly. While far from ideal, reporting bugs here/in the Bug Reports subforum/via in-game Support, then keeping an eye on the update patch notes as they arrive is probably the best we can do for the time being.

This was recently fixed (just tested it with my Sentinel Soulless Demon; triggered Vanish just fine, despite having Passive Disable).
Not sure if I've heard of anything like that, sadly. Did they end up on a different character, or back into your talisman inventory, perhaps?
We are planning on pulling the Void Talismans out of the Horde for the reason you stated, yes.
Other than that, the pools of talismans are different between the Cache and Horde, and the Horde has better odds/quantities for things like Ironite and Precious Soul Fragments.
Hey, Sparton, I'm not sure if this is a glitch or not, and I'm not entirely sure what happened, but I was in the arena up against a team that had the Assassin Golden Son. He activated Endure, and then either his Eddie or his Nomad attacked my team that had void shields and suddenly the only one on his team that had Endure still was his Nomad.
Or, I've had some times in arena where after my void shields have been used, my Magus Harpy still has hers for my turn.
Checked all my characters and didn't see them anywhere, and they are not in my inventory. I had 6 of them and now zero. Not the biggest of deals to me just wanted to see if anyone had similar issues.
I had something similar a few days ago, had 3 maxed out lvl 50 void shields on a toon and they all magically dropped down to the exact same lvl 44. Thought I was going crazy. Had a few I thought I had disappear as well, again, chaulked it up to crazy lol There may be something to this.

Sparton, I bumped into the log out - log in issue again.
If I log out of account (facebook) and log in with another one (e-mail), then back to original (facebook), I get the spinning wheel of death and I need to delete/reinstall the game.
Is there a way I could connect the same e-mail (on original account) used for facebook, so that I might try switching accounts only based on e-mail logins? It should already be registered on NF website I think.
Hmm the only app I maintain up-to-date and I run is this game. :]

There is definitely some issues relating to logging out and logging in with accounts with different levels of progression (regardless of if they're Facebook or e-mail, as far as I know). I don't have a timeline for fixes, but it's on our radar for improving.

I believe he is referring to the pause in animations that occur when dealing the killing blow in pve.
My Galaxy S6 recently upgraded the SW to Android 7.0 and after that the LOTB force quit alot. It dosent matter where in the game I am, whether playing PVP, PVE or just browsing menus, the game can suddenly freeze and force quit. Several PVP matches lost, badges lost (sorry troopers)... I can't see any other activity on my mobile when the game quits.
I have tried everything, even factory reset my mobile and only installed LOTB with no luck. I see others in here have reported same or similar issues.
Also, with the game force quitting or having server problems when playing PVP should be reason enough to make holds non revegeable. It is not fair to loose point due to bugs and then the hold is beeing revenged and you might loose even more points.
