I agree and that's the problem. Players attacking other players. The players aren't the problem, NF is. They prove they can fix things in a timely fashion, but only if it's to their benefit.

Hope that's not aimed to me friend. cause I don't play LotB anymore, I am just saying that you (an others) did indeed exploited a bug, nothing more, nothing less, I don't care about what you got and if it will be taken away from you or not.

there is a problem with your suggestion, how can you compensate to the players who didnt took advantage of the bug? a fair way, giving hundred of skillshards ironite souls to those players? there are players who didnt got hundreds lets say they got 50 skill shards and a total of 90 souls but some others got 300 skillshards and 900 of souls, giving 300 skill and 900 souls to those who didnt took advantage will be unfair to those who took advantage but only got 50 skill and 90 souls, now you see my point? there isnt a fair way to compensate to the players who didnt took advantage, the only way i see is rollback and idk 100 ironite to those who took advantage and 300 and some others like skillshards or anything like that to those who didnt took advantage

To be honest, it won't matter if they roll back or not, people are leaving no matter what. It's more about which decision will make less people leave. All this people lashing back and forth with each other is seriously killing my rich guy boner. It's not like I have people I want to use those skill shards on, and out of all those souls I used, the only one that I got which I actually wanted was Iron Eddie. I was hoping to get Visions Eddie but nope, he still eludes me. As for the gold, what the hell else are you gonna spend it on other than talisman and character builds? We almost never have gold events and when we do they're pretty boring events. 90% of characters are still garbage and it'll be asinine trying to level them all up since, unless you're a day 1 player, you don't have a huge booty chest of XP shards. If I played every day and only leveled up the non-dupes, it will still take months before they're battle ready.

It’s the new game mode mate. I know for sure that many top 100 arena players have been running with a very small roster and now they all of a sudden have all the characters and skill shards in the world. They have literally over night gone from useless in a game mode with loads of characters required to insane and in a different league.
If this isn’t gamechanging please tell me what is.

Totally agree that some people exploited it, unwittingly at first I'm sure. But, should have caught on relatively quick that something wasn't right. NF's headache and not ours at least my friend. ;) As players we should band together especially since NF seems to have no qualms at all about exploiting bugs which favor them. If it'll make the devs feel better I can give them 150 ironite as compensation. :cool:

well you're wrong at least half of it, play the arena with common chars example owl cultist the skulls and the first dog with the normal eddie, then play with the beast valkiries klansman eddie etc, the rare the character is, the powerfull it is, and yes the beast like the beast eddie have a chance to appean in rare g/a souls and yes you sould go and ask to NF to "penalize" them, not exactly ask that but ask them to fix the issue they created, that is what we want from them, this problem was because of their stupidity so they must fix it, i must remind you that you can buy the over power talismans with that mass amount of gold and ironite? remember the packs to buy them for 500 of ironite remeber the gold section of the store? it have to buy many stuff like xp boost and yes souls, you see now the issue?

If you can't remain in your arena position because someone ELSE powers up the same characters you have access to.. well...

Again, it's not like an exclusive character, talisman, or item proliferated. It merely fast forwarded some players, that's all. Shortened 6 months of collecting and building down to 2 months (because that gold will go quick and they still need evo runes/shards to power talismans). No one got anything "special" here. They merely got resources which will evaporate quickly.

I said nothing about retaining my arena position - which is currently around rank 4000 as I am not able to play arena this week. I can keep it no problem but I will get but fucked by people in the upcoming game mode. That is my issue.

Yeah I'm sure the game is gonna hurt real bad because of like 30 people who earned more of that super rare premium gold that's so hard to get and even harder to save. And skill sharding all those wickermen and allied bomber boi's are gonna be what breaks the gauntlet. Remember how they said they were gonna start small and work their way to everyone? Those first few people are already going to be ahead of the rest. Who knows? They may give us the gauntlet last because we broke the event

dude, do you even read what you write? lets start with your example, the problem is not what they got, the problem is WHY they got it, i got navigator eddie with the first nautical sould during that event and people who didnt got it, thats how it works, yes but the problem is, in this case there was a bug that allowed them to have all of that, if there wasnt any bug this post wouldnt even exist, let me repeat it again, THE PROBLEM IS NOT WHAT THEY GOT, THE PROBLEM IS WHY THEY GOT THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE

It would really mean some of my weaker characters would need skill shards again (mummy ed, Wicker Ed, CR Ed). I didn't gain any massively powerful new characters. So, please realize I'm not really advocating to retain "my stuff". Sure I want to keep the gold and skill shards, of course, as would anyone. But even considering a rollback wouldn't really be that detrimental to my account.... I don't think it's the right thing to do. Primarily because nothing which anyone gained could possibly alter anyone else's game play. As I posted, all it did was fast forward some players. Yeah NF may have lost revenue, but taking the rewards away would be more devastating overall.

In technical terms, I doubt NF has a DB backup from 4:59pm Pacific yesterday... I mean they might, but but well, I doubt it. And I also doubt they want to individually go through every account that was logged in between 4:59 and 5:59 to see their activity and what they may or may not have gotten then go yank skill shards from characters, yank characters from players.. yank gold from accounts.... yank evo runes, yank evo stones, yank ironite, yank SOT/SOW... And what if they miss some accounts? How can I be sure they removed the rewards from EVERYONE and not merely my account?

I do understand the FOMO but really that's all it amounts to in my opinion.

The only thing on this entire conversation is the issue about it being an Exploit or not.

It was a bug, that generated a form of abuse, which is the definition of Exploit.

If anyone took advantage of that bug, they exploited. it's that simple.

At this point, it's far past the point of returning. Rolling back would be a far worse PR move than the primordial mess of last month. Judging by the official NF statement, they are moving on. It may not be fair, but who said life was fair. I participated in the first hour, I received some benefit from the "exploit" but I could not continue because I wasn't smart enough to realize what was happening. Oh well.

Well, i've just played the game this morning, about 8 or 9 hours after the ''exploit'', and even reading all this stuff i've found while taking a look on the forums...
Now i feel a little bad because i didn't get to abuse the exploit, and im not even a cheater-like of person in almost all the games i've played because it feels really filthy after cheating (yes even in GTA)

Why in this then? because there is no way to compensate the people with this mess. If you abused of it there is nothing to do with it, im sure the Game will just move on because it is the devs fault.
Now if they do the rollback they will took whatever the ones that abused got, but will leave the ones that didn't do it with a little less, that could mean a lot for them (like 5* Eddies or popular/missing toons)
The difference is that most of the people that abused of it has nothing to lose if the rollback happens compared to the ones that just get cool stuff to upgrade their selection.

In my personal experience, i got some hearts and idols, like 2 or 3 per Lvl 6 Sacrifices, with the characters i saved for this event it lasted me to fill the Vortex 3 times.
I got some missing 4* characters including the Magus Rescuer that i needed to enhance my farming and good dupes to keep sacrifying, nothing so much important.

Now if i were a lvl 30-50 that just got his first 5* by sacrifiying his only 4* group, with the hope to get something good, and then a rollback happens i would be really angry.
This isn't like the Primordial talis exploit, that i've missed too, which the solution (or even planed resource) was to just nerf them because (maybe) some people abused of it and got a lot of sets.

Talking about another things as Gold and Shards is another thing that i would really like to leave in other side, because as i read, the amount is tremendous.
So far as i can see this, there is no way to compensate everyone and i think that, sadly, the game will just move on and we'll have to deal with it.
I also read that thing about an individual rollback. Looking at how the attention to the players are actually, i find it hard to be done. I even think that in a hilarius way, they can give more ironite.

Stop blaming each other for ''damn, im not guilty...i didn't abuse, it is the game''. Because what is done is done, and the unique thing we (and the devs) may think about, is if there is really a way to compensate most of the players if not everyone.

Its absolutely, textbook definition of an exploit. It doesn't mean you're some ski-masked hacker messing with the code, it just means that there was something in game that the developers did not intend (whether mechanic, bug, or interaction), that benefits players who use it over those that don't.

The chances of me doing it would be damn high also!!!

You are kind of right about that a huge amount of gold, stock piles of souls, hundreds of skill shards won’t help you to take Eternal any time you want but gauntlet is coming and if all those resources give you an advantage over the rest of the players then that’s not right, you whine about the guys with huge amount of relics because those teams are giving you a hard time in the arena we earned those coins that was not a bug but you still whine about it or when you got a sneak peek of gauntlet and you got to see Alexander Eddie was part of the rewards you whine about it as well just because you spent 100$ for one useless toon and now you are calling these guys whiners ??, I’ve been playing this game for a while i don’t need more toons not even relics to me you just play the game to collect all the characters and nothing more

Gauntlet, gauntlet, gauntlet... yeah it's coming.. so is Night City and Silent Planet... I don't tend to live my life in the "what might come" genre. All the speculation about the gauntlet will most likely amount to shit once it's actually released.

I made sacrifices and got some hearts and idols which allowed me to sacrifice them but there was never anything even close to a loop for me. I got like two tier 3 sacs from the hearts which is like a meager sacrifice or something. Didn’t seem like a bug all to me. Never crossed my mind until I see this.

Now I see some people got loops and vortex fills. Good! I’d be pretty happy about that if I got it, but since I didn’t — other people getting it doesn’t directly affect me at all. There are always people who’ve played longer and have better toons anyway. What does it matter which ones they are? I like the grinding and playing anyway. Otherwise what’s the point of playing if you had everything already? Game wouldn’t be fun anymore.

I would trade any number of characters/souls and gold for 1 set of Primordials. No amount of gains from this bugged event will help in the only aspect of this game that I really enjoy. Lots of speculation about the Guantlet and those that have tons of characters but we have no real idea how it will work. What we do know is that Primordials changed the entire PVP playing field while the recent event has changed nothing in terms of the current Arena. Unless the August tuning does some major overhauls to old characters I doubt we will be seeing Viking Eddie, Shaman Eddie, Eda or Magus Undead Rescuer in the top 100. Coincidentally those where the only new characters I received, I had everything else.
