I would have immediately deleted the game if I had encountered the connection issues I am facing now back when I first downloaded it. Can't imagine any new player to stay in the game when they can't even open the game after they install it. I will keep the game for another month in my phone and wait for the connection issues to be fixed. Won't bother to complete every event and will only play the game when it allows me to. I've managed to get in enough to set a lone-ed defense.. then I'm out.... at least until it actually loads without 2 minute delays between every action.
Fuck this app if they can't afford better servers. This is NOT entertainment. It's laughable that they allow this to continue month after month after month. Seems they are really afraid to tell their server engineer to take a hike and hire someone that actually knows how to do their job.
They just had to force an arena event when they knew that PvP wasnt playable. Damn the players the schedule must be kept to. If they couldnt figure that several reboots didnt help they should have postponed the event.
I honestly think they are just too small of a company, and they don't have the funds to upgrade/increase server capacity and bandwidth. This promo tour mostly certainly doubled the amount of players.
Last night after Update I grinded for 8 hours with minimal connection issues. Now on a Saturday when tons of newbies try to play, there's constant connection errors and lagging.
Iron Maiden/Steve Harris needs to just hire another company who can handle all the new business that resulted from their tour, or else the promoting will have been in vain.
Like Phoenix-7282 pointed out, new people will delete immediately. I said this to myself hours ago. The only reason alot of us stay is because we have much time & money invested.
Sad thing is, there is nothing but silence from the devs ..... but even if they did respond, it would just be "customer service" BS to appease anyone stupid enough to believe them.
See I don't buy the "they are too small" idea. Server farms exist.. cloud sharing and split server loads are NOT new concepts. You don't have to be a behemoth like Google or Marvel to have a decent server farm. You can rent a farm... and they ARE making money, hand over fist I suspect. In addition, you can't convince me that Iron Maiden doesn't have funds to invest if they feel it's important enough to promote via a tour.
I think it's complete incompetence. They have server engineers and employees they may feel loyal to, but CLEARLY aren't aware of how to handle lots of traffic. They need to hire someone with experience that knows their job rather than supporting employees that they may have had for years and don't want to demote. Business is business and at this point the impotence of their server engineers is costing them business.
I can deal with the issues around rollover. It's understood that for that hour or so, traffic spikes considerably.. I actually can no longer get into the app at all until at least 30 minutes past the daily rollover. It's been that way for a few weeks now. But 3-8 hours later the issues should no longer be present.
Thought I'd have to spend 1800 coins on talismans for the ascension achievement but I'm getting them from somewhere. I'll research in the morning but think it's a passive giving random... whatever ascension is. Offensive ability?.

If you have Assassin Onyx Son, its passive inflicts perfect time bomb on all enemies at the start of battle (and you can use it in the assassin team).
Also, Sentinel Derby power move applies bomb to each enemy.
Aleenquinn, you must be very optimistic if you think you are going to see many people in the arena. It's hard to play when they wont let you in. It is a very ingenious way to make money, many will have to purchase the rewards since they wont let you play.
I think that they should give us compensation packages since they wont let us play, such as both talisman sets and evo materials. That would go against their screw the customer policy.
true, Muzzleloader. Last night was impossible to connect. This morning, for a briefly moment the game seemed to works fine but of course, the connnection issues came back. Arena is impossible.
This game is the best case study on what you must not do in development. But they keep on launching events nonstop without fixing bugs. Clearly, they don't have a testing phase. The whole game is not even in beta phase and they should pay us to do their test work. The artwork, on the other hand, is exceptional. No complains in this area.

The new slower pace has been a great relief to the stress of staying current. The relaxed pace of new toon/talis releases has greatly eased the burden of grinding. They were even so kind as to release an event that is unplayable, I cant express myself enough of how grateful I am to the devs on making a more user friendly game for all to enjoy.

So far this morning I cannot load the game at all. Loading screen just hangs no matter how long I wait. I have not been able to do a single arena match since this event started...
Well, I don't think I'm gonna even bother trying this event. Played a single arena battle, only for the game to hang when I tried to pick my next match, and this morning I could barely even get my first Skull Quest done. It's impossible to play properly anymore. This is getting absolutely ridiculous! Devs, please fix the server issues!!
I highly doubt anyone would mind if you took a month or two to focus purely on server shit rather than cramming events down our throats. Don't get me wrong - I like events. I like having something to work towards (Even with about 50 different dungeons to somehow find time to grind through, plus too many characters and talisman sets to count), but no one's gonna be able to play them if the game simply doesn't work and crashes at every other screen!
This is the worst I've ever seen the game, honestly. If it weren't for the fact that I'm so invested in the game because I've been playing for so long, the incredible artwork, and for the fact that it's Iron fucking Maiden, I doubt I'd even be playing at all anymore. Please, just fix this.
I got in long enough to run 2 arena battles and locked up on the third. Now I cannot log in again. So disappointing.

I have to agree that I have never seen it this bad. I can't do anything! Can't finish an arena battle, can't grind anywhere else, can barely get in and out of the "my team" section. I could understand being a little backed up around the reset time but now I've gone to bed and woken up and still can't do anything.
This thread, which was ostensibly going to be about the event itself, has maybe 4 or 5 posts actually talking about playing it? Cause almost nobody can! The facebook post is just a giant ragesplosion. I think some major compensation is in order to smooth this over and I have an idea.
Everyone gets The Beast. You heard me. Everyone. If you already have him, well you got another one for Gauntlet or as good sacrifice fuel. It will be a nice treat for everyone as well as motivation to try and do the event if it ever works.

\o/ to those running single eddie defences, to help other players.
It's better to have 4 weak players, that way time bomb and curse are faster to complete.
The weak or lone Eddie defense is few and far in between. Except for the top players I dont see a reason not to help each other.
W LoL power move gives ascension to all members of the team.
Got ascension done within 15 mins, along with the assassin team, my longest stretch without connection issues using double Musashi, Executioner Eddie and A. Heirophant

With that said - it goes without saying that stability (or lack thereof) is super frustrating - and perhaps that’s why they made this event easier. I’m finding it very “hit or miss” - at times I can’t even log in - others its playing normally.
No, using Van Hel, assasin minotaur, raven witch and magus Crimean. Thought maybe grant or steal random effect, but got 5 in the first 10 runs, now not seeing as many now. Executioner Eddie has ascension if people have him but no others. Think ascension is golden, so gain or steal random includes golden? Knowing that would narrow it down.Quote:
