Have to be careful people get even more pissed about the war chest events. Remember when they did the first eternal soul for 20,000 people exploded all over the forum. Even though I think it was one of the best ideas they had to handle people who have the war chest of coins even though I bet it barely put a dent into some peoples piles of coins. What other things could they do as war chest events that be a good nod to the people who play arena non-stop but not irk some of the more casual players? Would love to hear some peoples ideas.
I know Sparton has said it's a balancing act for this very reason - trying to give a reward to players who have the "war chest" without giving them an advantage over other players.
But I think as Jofer previously proved - if you want to win you can win - you don't need all the fancy stuff. That stuff is icing on the cake and makes the game fun - so there is value - but a determined player with an average roster is going to outperform the less determined player with the stellar roster.
I think the advanced Eternal was very well handled. It didn't give something that couldn't be earned otherwise - just kind of a bonus.
I think they said they had something else in the works too...
I'm seated on 40k iron coins, I buy everything available in the arena store (with the exception of sorcery/skilled/onslought talismans which are useless to me) and every week the number is getting bigger and bigger, I really support the Nicko´s idea to give us the opportunity to get rid of that plenty iron coins. Here are my 2 proposals:
1 - Let the skill shards be purchased infinitely but with a different price, something like 350*(n^n) being n the number of skill shard bought, in that case the price would be 350 the first, 1400 the second, 9450 the third, etc. and reset the prices with the arena reset. That way we could spend most of iron coins but obviously almost everyone would stop at third becasue the price would be out of control pretty soon, in that case everyone would be happy, the casual players would just buy 1 skill shard like always and the top players 2 or 3 per week.
2 - The funny one, character appearance customization. Something like a new color jacket for eternity eddie for 20k iron coins xD. Fun to see and wouldnt hurt balance between top and casual players.
3 - The impossible, recycle iron coins which means let us buy 10 sands of war for a really high price 1k iron coins maybe. That would be amazing.
Not sleeping on coins here, but Carlos stated some well worked out ideas (though the jacket like thought is useless but fun)
cool idea, i would rather like to see a linear grow regarding the skillshards. so first 350, second 700 third 1050 and so on. but this is more of a detail, the idea itself is golden. same could work for all soultypes and for the eternity frags.
but the first thing i would do is to unlock the legendary soul weekly. we all know how mediocre the legendarys are so really no need to keep em so rare imo.

I think if it were skill shards we'd have to do it Carlos' way. A HUGE increase - cause if it were incremental like your proposal, some of us would buy 50 of them :)
I do agree the Legendary Soul restriction should be removed - and G/A souls should be added. Perhaps offer the 20,000 Eternal again as well - nothing more I'd like than a fifth Wrath :p
