Noice! Thanks for the heads-up! Not sure if I'll be able to swing it, but it bears looking into!
I've always kept my eyes open for good Maiden covers, here are a few of my favorites:
Children of Bodom - Aces High. I listen to this one regularly. The pace is upped, makes for a great workout tune.

Iced Earth - Transylvania. Another quality cover, heavier than the original.

Lastly, 2Cellos adaptation of The Trooper is awesome.

My fiancé plays guitar in an 80's Hair Metal/Metal Tribute band. This video is from one of his older bands (now defunct for the various reasons bands go defunct--largely some members that couldn't keep the partying until after they got off stage) and is an instrumental version of 'The Trooper'. (The band was between singers at the time this video was recorded.)

Sebastian Bach – Children Of The Damned. The vocals and intro are amazing.

It brings a new dimesion to the song
Been at this show and I tell you Night Demon rocks!
I was wondering, why Maiden needs three guitars, when one is enough.

Gotta give it up to Bodom for covering my favorite Maiden song Aces High and for Testament for (in my opinion at least) CRUSHING Powerslave. Both of those are solid covers imo.
My fave is Damone doing Wasted Years. Check that one out! Acoustic with orchestra and a girl singing....quite different and not very metal at all.
