What was the first Iron Maiden Album you ever heard?

Interesting! Especially when one considers that Maiden is a band that a lot of people first got into based on the album artwork... lol :cool:

First for me was Number of the Beast. The album came out in the early 80's and I was in junior high (middle) school, which happened to be the same time that the whole Christian backward masking, rock is evil thing was going on.

Anyway, growing up in a Christian home, 0I wasn't allowed to listen to it, so, naturally, I did.

Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son. I was like fourteen and bought mostly for the album artwork xd

My first album was brave new world...
I bought it with twelve when I started to learn English and understood the lyrics of chart music...
I didn't want to listen to that anymore and I came fast to Iron Maiden
My first song was Blood Brothers xD

I bought Fear of The Dark when I was 17, back then Heavy Metal was somethingI didn't know at all but the artwork caught my attention.

I was edging my way into classic metal about 7 years ago. After trying out Metallica and Dream Theater I felt Iron Maiden should be next. My first CD purchase of theirs was Piece of Mind, because it's the one with The Trooper (also I didn't see NotB)
Fun album but for me Maiden didn't click with me until I listened to Live After Death and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son

Live After Death followed by Somewhere in Time back in 1987 🤘🏻

"Fear of the Dark" back in 1996 when I was in University. Childhood's End and Afraid to Shoot Strangers were simply unbelievable.
Then when i heard 7th Son I was completely blown out of the water...Maiden fan for life now!

Right on. It's cool to hear that FOTD actually brought in some Maiden fans! Too often this album gets unfairly shit upon (as it were). :cool:
