Past few weeks people have been scoring outragous points due to an exploit. Its unfair to honest players. Please fix
So from what i have been told,if you purchased the store temp.relics.after 6 battles you become an arena god. No skill involved. Damage goes through the roof.
While, it's true I will never be competitive in arena because I just don't have the time for the plethora of matches it requires, I am not okay with this exploit.
Yeah, the same people were probably going to win regardless of the exploit but what bugs me most is just how much it shows that little actual testing/QA is done with this app. Ensuring relics work correctly is a quick and easy test for both the positive and negative scenario. Run a battle (or 2 or 5 or 100) without the relic and then run the same amount (and with the test defense tool you can ensure you have the same teams and talismans) and just verify damage is within the appropriate levels.
There's a reason QA is a full time job at most companies. You need to think about all scenarios and actually test them EVERY time a change goes live. You can't just have devs or support personnel test as part of their other jobs.
Edit: I forgot that this requires win streaks so the defense test tool isn't possible. However, the levels of damage players are reporting it's obvious whether or not damage has been incorrectly boosted. Seriously, if your damage begins with a lower case u, something seriously went wrong.
that is 100% false. There is a bug, but it has nothing to do with the temp relics. in theory it is the same for everyone, so while it is a bug, it is a completely balanced one as far as i can tell.
But hey, fix it or no, i still despise arena so whatever.
It's only available to folk like us who can get 6 straight wins. Not as easy as a task without either a hard earned or hard paid team so no, not a fair bug.Quote:

If they want to fix something the need to fixing the server errors. I havent been able to play arena for1 1/2 days. The other parts of the game isnt much better. Odin battles are the most bug free area of the game.
There have been scores of more than 20k in arena xD
The bug goes on simply if you strike "x" amount of wins in a row, maybe 6 as Natasmai said. Not purchased needed. However, yes itīs a bug and should be fixed, along with Banshee Talis, The Killer, and I'm sure many more. But yes, Arena is really out of control on bugs/playability terms.
Said that, LAD requires no mega skills for wining but patience, effort and of course a reliable team. Anyway, letīs be honest is not a chess game, anyone with lad and some not over the top chars can rank high if they spend a massive amount of time and dedication (which is awesome and deserves respect, but no skill)
With LAD and on a winning streak the arena points are not that difficult or time consuming as many think.

Believe it, I encountered this phenomenon during the For of War event.
While trying to reach the clan achievements, I was going up and down the arena ranks (long story). During one of my last runs (starting in the high Duelist ranks), I got a bit of a streak going - like, 20+ wins. Before I realized, I was in the high Warlord ranks and started to encounter tougher and tougher teams - but I was not struggling. Attacks that should have pulverized me barely made a scratch (I am talking fully awakened characters vs. Killer Prime and The Prisoner - they barely move the needle).
Then I remembered a thread where they were talking about massive damage - indicated by letters in the displayed amount. I noticed that there was a lowercase r in my numbers, so I was definitely dealing some off-the-charts damage. I initially thought that it had to be a bug connected to the win streak - it was the only thing that had been different from the rest of my runs. There was part of me that wanted to be able to take advantage of this unexpected "god mode", but I had already reached my goals for the day (and was kinda burnt out) so I chose sleep instead...
I had not really thought about it that much since then - I thought it was maybe just the overload on the arena (because of the event) that it was merely a fluke. But I suppose it could be some kind of bug that popped up (specifically connected to the streak bonus), allowing players to achieve levels that they could not under typical circumstances. It is definitely not due to some temporary relics, because I never buy those - I experienced this boost without them.
So, yes, it is real. It happened in my game without even trying. While I personally do not care much about arena ranks, I know there are plenty that do - and this is the kind of thing that can cause a lot of problems within the community if it persists. We are supposed to trust that the top players are there because of their determination and ingenuity, not because of some errant line of code. I recommend to the devs that you find and eliminate whatever is causing this before players start to break out their torches and pitchforks...
Until a counter to LADs innate doom is released.. PvP is going to be the same shitshow :) So the high damage numbers don't really matter, at least to me. I mean all LAD battles are "who gets fury 4 times first" or "Who gets the lucky draw of who LADs fury targets" that's it.
Decided to make a run at this today since I had some time. If I can keep climbing the ranks and taking out teams that massively outpower me without even batting an eye, we have a severe problem.
End result: An arena landscape and podium that doesn't measure skill all it does is measure how much of your life you wasted on arena in a given week.
And just because arena has always been a shit show doesn't mean we shouldn't strive for better.
So LAD is the new op Ed for arena? Doesn't surprise me, I have him, but got too much other stuff to work on. He's back burner for now. Anyways hello all :) * waves *
This is the same complaint about a different toon or talisman. It has been this way from the beginning of the arena. If you have IT you win. If you want to win play alot or spend real money.
Except this isn't an op toon or talisman, those have counters or will have counters this is an unintended mistake (BUG) that is causing values to be multiplied more than they should be. Which is why this isn't a "Man this new addition the game sucks" thread it's a "hey these values are causing improper things to happen" thread. The only IT here is developers/QA (if it exists) who don't bother to thoroughly test their changes before pushing them live.Quote:

I'm use to seeing strange things in arena, stuff that doesn't add up to winning when I shouldn't and losing when I would win in normal circumstances. Having my A-wolf in the defeated position, but with full health scooting across the battle floor ( amusing and funny ) to battling enemies that weren't there with and without life left, starting to see strange things in raid boss and saw moon Lilith in lol xv drop out of site like a trapdoor opened up below here and sucked her in
I honestly don't know what to make of it. I had screenshots but after so long I forget to submit a ticket and there are the things that happen and you miss the screenshot or need a video to show what is happening. I'm coming to realize that the RNG has its own RNG and it doesn't make sense to other RNG but that RNG is thinking, why not! Let's roll with it... I think I have gave up on trying to figure out what this game wants to do.
Again I feel you're missing the point, it's not that it's free. It's that it is a bug. The only benefit here is that the a part of the game is actively broken and again not everyone can actually get it. You have to be able to hit 6 straight wins for the real effects to kick in. Sometimes you just aren't given an attack list that lends itself to a win.Quote:

I'm not saying LAD isn't OP but with the bug he is even more deadly. When you can generate a fury that can guarantee a death with any action and there a lot of ways to gain extra turns, you can easily have it set up to generate a few of those furies each turn and then all you have to do is hold out which is easy with your increased defense from the bug and talismans that negate over half of the damage.Quote:

I dont see the problem. You just roll with what the game gives you. After you point out the issues you play with what is occurring or dont play.

What the game is giving us and what the game is intending to give us are completely different things. Good on you for enjoying a bug but a player's enjoyment doesn't suddenly remove the fact that it is a bug.Quote:

I discovered this bug at the beginning of the month. I am not sure how exactly it occurs, but I know how it works as far as what is going on.
When you "win streak", you get those win streak bonuses which as supposed to be +5% etc. Instead of being +5%, they are like 100X the effect or something, so once you have a 2 win streak, your defense goes up to a silly amount, then you get 4 wins and your MR in bumped massively. But the real effect it felt at 6 wins when your damage is multiplied by an insane amount and you start doing numbers like K17905 and U98543, which is basically a million+ damage. Once you get to win streak of 10 or higher, your HP is increased also to massive amounts, making you almost unkillable...well almost.
Died a few times because I healed myself for millions on attack but then healing was turned into damage by a buff on enemy etc. So it is not "perfect", but pretty damn close. Because I do not really have a perfect team though for Arena, I have only being playing for 6 weeks now, I still hit a wall at like 3500 points or whatever in ranking.
Seems like even the crazy buffs was not enough for me to overcome max awakened moonchilds. My PVP arena team was not that meta though so...
I reported this bug to the devs as soon as I discovered it. Their response was that they are aware of it and working on fixing it. At that point, I used it freely.
To this date, I do not think it is fixed though.
