They reduced drop rate of rare soul but the rest of the game make more sense now, they did a great job
I love it! It feels like more character combinations are usable.
Regular runes are dropping more often. Everything else about the same except I actually got a 3* rainbow evo shard from underworld hard.
Not happy about the talisman nerfs. Game of Death underworld hard is significantly easier than fighting spirits battlefield madness, when it used to be the opposite. The mine blow up damage didn't get nerfed, but our health sure did.
Haven't tried the rifts yet. Floor 8s were getting pretty easy, but I'd doubt I could finish them now. Yay nerfs.
Not trying to brag here, but with a 120 IQ I like numbers as well, but even I could see that these nerfs were a bad idea.
I don't like the update at all, so far. Everything seems to be kicking my ass now. Stuff I could auto farm now requires my attention and I haven't gotten good drops on anything yet. I see a few nice things with individual characters, but the game is much more frustrating and I'm getting sick of staring at the Defeat screen for stuff I could fight before.
I quite like it, but that's partially because 3/4 characters I use got buffed, and the other guy, while nerfed, is still quite usable.
Very happy with the evo rune and shard drops. Will have to get used to the colors dropping in certain places though. Also not fond of the stats shown by lower Talismans.
I guess I'm gonna have to get used playing something different than Road To Ruin on Underworld Madness though.
Oh, and BTW, Mine explosions did get buffed.
So mine explosions got buffed while nerfing everyone's health from talismans? That's just asinine. Is it really that hard to see how bad of an idea that is?
It's good overall imo.
More gold from Cosmos locations, less from Time Rift, moved great talismans like assassins and burn to more relevant worlds, no need to play Ailing Kingdom and Kingdom of Sand anymore if you have strong characters.
The chance to get 3* evo shard is too high now imo, I've received 4 or 5 of them from 120 sands of time. I can upgrade 1 character per day without Time Rift? It will make game much easier.
No crashes at the start of level today hope it's not just a side effect of people not playing as much and they have finally fixed the problem ! Drop rates are better but not sure that makes up for the downgrade of characters. Will wait and see what the next area/pvp is like so see if I want to continue playing

and then, they can do whatever changes for the name of upgrade,you have actually no control over it,some changes you may like it,some you may not.
you have to believe in,whatever changes they are making,are for greater good in the long run,you may not perceive it right this moment.
Even if it lowering down the national pay scale and highering the income tax.

This. Lord of light time warp payouts have been destroyed making time warp worthless unless you absolutely must have three star evo runes. This is particularly unfair since they have drastically changed talismans and this was one of the few places where money could be raised to rebuild.
I tried number of the beast madness, hearing that it was way harder and finding with a full five star company the difficulty to be ridiculous. I don't see how future players Who are half as well equipped and trying to win the campaign are going to be interested in this level of difficulty, and now I am no longer interested in playing that level for farming purposes. For all intents and purposes, it feels like they have simply made more areas of the game unsatisfying or unplayable.
If you're referring to the USA presidential election, I'm pretty sure we're screwed either way. One candidate will be more of the same, and the other is a damn fool who will start a world war within a matter of months. Preferably I guess I'd rather have more of the same than a nuke war.
Let's start with Rift: What is the reason he now? For those who already had a base formed characters, the Rift is now totally unnecessary when decreased the gold values. decrease drop rate of rare soul .. now to achieve God knows where and when. For me, the rift is now a place unnecessary due to the high cost of the Sands of Time.
Cosmos and Drop Rate: Who is in farm mode, this madness a wonder to get $$$ on auto-play. The Drop rate this funny, this is much easier to achieve 3 stars rainbow shard than 3 stars rainbow rune before the update drop more runes 4 stars evolution than now , that I did not like it.
In a summary general, the guys will be excited to evolve the characters and will have great difficulty in paying the lvl 1 to 100, as in talismans, that is, we spend money on shop hehehhe or stop playing for lack of excitement.
I'm waiting for the new arena and of course worlds sacrifice feature to get rid of over 500 souls and incubated about 30 characters that will not evolve, much less use.
Just tried the secret areas. Underworld madness killed three troopers before I just scraped by with soldier Eddie at 15%. Went to hard next and lost another trooper. The Devs have really fucked this up. Absolutely needless difficulty increase with nothing to counterbalance.
Yeah, even the battlefield madness secret location is way harder than before. My soldier Eddie died the very first turn! Level 80**** with all max L50 talismans! TBH, I'm teetering on just deleting the app and moving on. This update is pretty much completely diseased feces other than the SoL Eddie boost.

Certainly,our uninformed/ignorant decision most cases comes from 'unable to predict the future',and some cases we are just plain stupid and don't want to see the obvious.

Mostly positive. Some characters still have bugs. Some characters still have awkward talismans ->which sucks. Less gold sucks, less rare souls sucks ->but I get it, the souls will get a major buff later with the new mechanic for duplicate characters. In the future I only see gold being the missing ingredient, which we will have to buy or grind out manually ->I'm okay with this at the moment but time will tell. I'm very disappointed with the buggy talismans still. I'm disappointed that the thief talisman is now common. I feel like all the talismans could use an HP buff. I feel like I shouldn't have to choose between rare gunner souls and skill shards.
Well, I did fine on the secret locations today, then moved on to the Rift and repeated level 7 a dozen times. I received 1 green 3* and 1 rainbow 3*, less than I hoped, as I still have never been able to upgrade a single 4* character I own.
So I decided to finally use all those runes I've been saving and evolved and upgraded a boatload of talismans. Then I exited the team field and got a server error - 25 minutes of work all lost. Ugh. I'm done for now. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow.
Well, i admit, the nerfs of the talisman seem heavy. My soldier eddie is from pretty strong to very weak - his special now has less damage than the basic attack. Yet the icreased drop rate of the 3* evo shards helps me to get all my toons to 100. For now the best attackers are Magic and pure damage, excluding some wardens with LP-based damage.
Well I'm starting to get used to some of the changes. The 3* rainbow evo shards are dropping decently in battlefield madness, maybe equal to or a hair less than 3* rainbow evo runes. The level 8 rifts don't really seem any harder than before. Maybe in a week I'll finally be able to evolve somebody to 5* for the first time, IF I can get the 3* color evo shards to do it.
Battlefield madness is MUCH harder than before. Quite a bit harder than underworld hard to be honest, even though the levels ratings are the same. Glad I already had all of battlefield fully starred.
I yanked a red talisman out of my soldier Eddie and put in another yellow. He seems to be surviving better now, and all his attacks do more damage than his basic attack. Acrid smoke is actually usable now, btw.
I still think the talisman nerf was too extreme, and the low star talismans only having one or two stats is silly and unneeded. Don't confuse the new players any more than they already are.
Im digging being able to finally upgrade my characters a little faster. SoL eddie boost has also helped my team more generally and he probably gets about the same gametime as soldier eddie.
As others have mentioned though, I reckon the dungeons should have had more gold. Particularly at the higher levels. Apart from some colours of 3* evo shards, why bother even going in there?
Otherwise, am finding the balance a bit better. Personally, I dont 'need' to finish the game. Im early into underworld madness and as long as I can keep upgrading a range of different toons, and then use different sets to beat different opposition, I am pretty happy.
And maybe thats the whole go? Rather than the old mentality of build up your 4 'best' toons, the aim now is to get a range of toons to better pick & choose based on opposition. That'll then get people to a better place for tactical PvP...
The game plays a lot more slowly now. I think there is a shift towards characters that provide utility and longevity as well as raw damage. The knock on effect is to make autoplay less viable, although after a bit of experimentation I'm back to burning SoT on Circle of Fire madness again (pharaoh Eddie, red troll, blue golden son). I'm struggling a bit to find a go-to Eddie though. My preferred play style on auto is to burn down the enemy before autoplay can screw it up. All the ones I have seem to lack multi target punch.
Oh and just checked another thread, big disappointment for me on the freeze. I get balancing, but surely the rarer talismans should have better proc/skills right?
Anyway, I guess my main complaint about the talisman changes is that, unlike the toon rebalancing, they werent forcasted. Like most things, if you know in advance, when it comes the reaction wouldnt be so negative.
But yeah, otherwise, really just need some more gold man! Anyone give me some gold please!?!?
Update is highly appreciated and nerfs should not be taken personally, as everybody is impacted by them. Balance is detrimental, especially in the case of the talismans, as now there is much more room to experiment and use most, rather than just 1/4.

Played a full SoT refill LoL X and got no 3* coloured shard... So far hating that
I must be missing something on the tailisman experimentation that everyone is talking about. The tailismans that have no health seem to be a waste. All of the effect tailismans do not work or the proc chance is so low it a waste. So the only real choice is do you want mr def or special stats.
What am I missing?

i have soldier eddie 4* and a wickerdog queen but 3* ( using corrupt general 5*) and never loot pharaoh dog king ( i'm using blue golden son 4* for heal )

Blind and energy talismans didn't get nerfed, but it seems the AI got a slight boost to perfect attack rate making blind a little less effective.
I think some of us are just trying to figure out the new "optimum" talisman setup for some of the toons that got nerfed.
I'll keep track of my 2 toons using my 2 maxed freezing sets, cause although its supposed to be down to 12% (?) I keep getting freezes all the time, even in a row, very often today :S

Sorry don't mean to make things worse. By posting here I was hoping 1 I was missing something and 2 that if I wasn't mabey the sorcery/skilled tailismans might get buffed and mabey the procking tailismans also. The explained point of the nerf was to make other tailismans more attractive to use. While it did make some like ward better to use there is a whole group of tailismans that are subpar and almost vender trash right now.
I just want things to get better then they are.
We should all whine here, and create another forum to discuss overpowered stuff, so no dev can see :cool:
