Sake lager? I would like to try that.
Sake is just a fermented rice alcohol. Budweiser includes rice as an ingrediant. Sake differs from beer in how the rice is fermented into alcohol and the potential final alcohol content.
From reading the article it seems they're using sake yeast which should impart some character to the flavour.
I havent read the article. But I don't understand how you can have sake lager. In sake the yeast goes from starch to alcohol directly, beer it goes from starch to sugar to alcohol. I wonder how they do both.
It really isnt important since I dont drink alcohol. My choice was bourbon or rum. I really liked grouch and moosehead when I drank.
