LotB I'm so confused?

I'm at a impass . I have 35,000 troopers points and I don't know what to do with em. Before I would spend them as soon as I got them. I don't want souls because I have 100 guys. I don't want skill shards because I don't know were to put them , afraid of nerds. I have a bunch of overwhelming talisman but few use the attack , so now I have to switch all my greens to magic . And I have a toon that does magic damage but it scales with defense and health, so what the hell do I put in him? I'm so confused? Any advice would be appreciated💀
