Server Update at 2pm PST October 18.

Attention Legacy of the Beast players! The game will be unavailable today starting at 2pm PST while we implement our Tuning and Drop Rate Update. The game will be down for approximately 1 hour.

Tuning and Drop Rate Update:

During the QA phase of this latest update we ran into some unforeseen errors. This is an important update for our players and we want to ensure that it is well executed. We will be delaying the update until early next week, and sincerely apologize for the delay.

Our daily reset wouldn't be happening at 3AM here and 1AM in the UK if it was so, I imagine :D

Well Roadhouse Interactive was indeed in Vancouver, Canada, but when they announced that Nodding Frog was taking it in-house they also said it going back to England close to the band if my memory serves me well

I was thinking it already happened do to the lack of rare soul drops last night and this morning. Mabey, this was an early trick or treat joke.

All the game announcements are in PST ( Pacific Standard Time ) , some parts of USA/CANADA
check on google to find out which North-American state/province uses PST, that's it.
though this specific announcement has no specific time frame,but we at-least know what is the time zone.

California is pst.

Guys, I really don't think the change in rare soul drops is going to be that drastic. They definitely told us that it was going to be a small tweak (I can't be bothered right now to find the direct quote). I would guess that a small change would be something like 75% of the drop rate we currently enjoy. If that estimation is close to accurate, don't think it should cause this kind of widespread panic.

Remember the August update of drop tweaking. How can you not be worried.

Couldn't have said it better.

Eagle, would you rather open 50 souls a week with garbage or 5 worthy-ish ones? This is the real problem for me.

I could have swore it was stated that there would be no change in the rng of what a rare soul drops only that when new toons are added that those will have an adjusted drop rate. So to me less souls equals less chance to get rare characters that you still want. Please let me know if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that's what was said.



Just checked on 10/6 Sparton said there is no change planned for the drop chance of opening souls with the exception of when new characters are added. To me this means that the rng will remain bad but now you will have less would to open. If I'm misinterpreting the post let me know.

I'm not panicking just trying to collect as many souls as I can now incase things go south again like other drop rates in August. So I guess I'm being a prepper.

Found it. Lets summarize then.

1) Rare souls as loot from the Rift are being reduced (or they were reduced already). Not by much but reduced.
2) RNG stays as it always was, but with added content the % of the really rare ones in this new-formed bigger pool will be lower.
3) Missing chances on rare souls dropping in LoL, might (or might not) be balanced with added features, daily challenges etc. But we don't know when that is.
