For those of us in North America today we're in for a treat. It's only going to be about 80% covered where I'm at, but still an extremely rare event to witness. I saw one other back in the late 70s when I was a kid. The coolest thing I remember about it was the shadows of the trees. Make sure to find some today while it's happening and check it out. Every opening between the leaves projects an image of the eclipse on the ground. It's pretty crazy! Enjoy!

I'm in the path of 99%, though I hear there is a huge difference between 99% and 100%. I've never seen one and can't wait!

Cool stuff. Was sunny and clear here. I cut out of work at lunch with a couple extra pieces of glass from a welding mask. It worked great. I just found out this morning there's another one in seven years that will pass right over where I'm at. Pretty exciting, if I make it seven more years.
