Preserving Souls for new characters

So in anticipation of Doomsday Eddie coming out I thought about making this to talk about the idea of saving your souls for events that feature new characters. A while ago someone finally proved the debate of when souls are decided.



Sooo..... Take this with a grain of salt because RNG is still a huge factor, now would be a great time to sacrifice for lots and lots of GA souls and don't activate any of them until Doomsday Eddie is released. I have 2 stacks of 99 and a third stack of about 70 just for him since he's most likely going to be released as a 5* Gunner.

It's not a guarantee to get him but it's better than nothing and it's a pretty big shot. If you decide to do this just remember to NOT use any of them until you 100% know that he can be drawn from them. So the day he comes out, go into fragments and look at the GA soul characters to see if he's in there. If he is then go ahead and use them all up.

If you use your souls before he's out, even if you restart the game and get those souls back, the characters will already be decided for the souls so I highly stress that you don't open them until he's out.

I would put them in all at once just to be faster, I assume Doomsday will be a Gunner since he just looks so much like one.

Same plan here. i’ve “only” saved 80 souls. had a stack of 99+some, but needed to finish a vortex...
I think the best, logical way would be opening 1 at a time,until you get him, but i’m lazy and as someone mentioned “the souls seem to be more generous when opened in stacks”, which is also my experience, so i will go 10 at a time and since i don’t need other G/A chars i will save the rest for future events/releases.

Update: After another Tier 6 sac and vortex fill, 15 more G/A souls; Doomsday acquired!

I guess now we know souls are determined on the book not when aquired.
