Tallisman set question?

if you have 2 set of nightmare talisman in same character is 2* 35% = 70 ?? or stay the same 35

If you have 2 sets of a talisman like Nightmare in the same character, each strike from that character has double chance of triggering the effect. What does that mean? The game "rolls the dice" twice with the aforementioned 35%, and if one succeeds, you get it. Statistics maths say it results in a 57.75% chance.

For the damage reduction of Destiny sets, I don't know how they add to each other, if they do at all.

They do stack, but as a combination of both chances, i can't explain it that well, but is close of what the other guy said.
As for Damage Reduction...they don't, as someone already said in the situation of Damage Reduction, the higher % has priority, so if you have 2 toons with Destiny set, they don't stack the Reduction but instead the higher % had the effect.
Also if you have G. Pharaoh Dog and another toon with Destiny talismans, the GPD's Passive takes priority (25%>20%).
