Exactly! It is part of my strategy and inventory management to keep the soul inventory small, as you need those spaces for all those different types of souls. Recently this was even more important due to the souls that were rewards from different events. Also it is a good strategy to avoid yourself using more souls than you originally planned e.g. in an event.
E.g. I had only one legendary in the soul inventory after the last sac event, but close to 100 legendaries in form of frags in the inventory... or should I say 40 now? Oh man this is so disappointing.

I would love to hear a word from the devs about what happened here

I haven't yet thought of a response to the fragment changes, but I will point out HS Eddie and The Clairvoyant both have new art!

Gotcha, makes sense. I guess I never had that many soul stacks before.

Really? You have never seen the error message for soul inventory overflow so that you need to sacrifice/sell characters (that you planned to keep) just because you were rewarded with some new soul types that need a new stack in the inventory? Because then I started to rethink my strategy...

if you are interested...in that situation the fragments button is grey as you cannot go there due to the overflow
