Since this is a permanent addition, you will be able to use the keys when you pull gambler. A hiero is not needed, bat or raven works. I found bat is a little slower than hiero, but I havent had a loss with using the bat. Labyrinth is also not a must. I am using radiant on gambler with better results.

Huckfinn, I think you really need Gambler for this dungeon. It's not uncommon for wrath and beast to die. I wouldn't waste your keys and SoT until you get Gambler or some comes up with an alternative team.

I think with all the new dungeons... the 120SOT bump from 80 was nice.. but it needs to be 250.. or there needs to be a daily refill.... or leave it at 10 but double the speed at which it accumulates. I should be able to let the game site for roughly an hour and have at least 60 SOT... not 30.

All there is in this app is to spend money or collect yet more frags... entirely pointless and unfulfilling..

I know alot of guys feel down about not being able to accomplish this Infernal Dungeon event. NF wants people to feel a little seperate or left out as an "incentive" to spend $$$ to catch up and acquire the resources they need, so as to be able to be included and accomplish success. NEVER FORGET THEY ARE A BUSINESS AND EVERYTHING WORKS TOWARDS THEM CREATING REVENUE $!!!
They have made the last 3 dungeon keys permanently available, so just be patient, have fun with it.
My philosophy is "I may not be the best, but I'm definitely not last." This forum and game is a community of friends/like minded people. The game is competitive, but it doesn't make one person better than another.
I speak from experience. It is my one year anniversary. When I started, it sucked not to have all the toons/talis not to be able to achieve or compete. But I have invested double time to catch up and some money along the way. I just got the Beast and fully sharded Wrath a few days before this event. I still have a few red & yellow relics to get. I have felt negative in the past, but I have come to understand the "mobile gaming business model"..... but I think the companies go too far sometimes and cause people to quit, when they were trying to motivate them to spend.
Free to play but Pay to win.... It's the truth. BUT GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT!
P.S. Banner talis work well on Gambler, they heal him when allies take damage.

I think one particular frustration with this event and the Trooper dungeon event is that it isn't like you can be a new-ish player and build a team that can struggle but occasionally get enough wins (say, like 15 or 20) to earn you the prize Eddie. You need to be overwhelmingly dominant in your characters, your talismans, and your resources in order to pull it off. You can't spend 250 Frontier Coins just to win a few times. You need to win dozens of battles per dungeon key to make it worth it. You need a team that can say, "Not only can I beat you, I can beat you so thoroughly that I can autofarm it hundreds of times."
Sure, it's meant to be a long-term goal, much like Relics are. But at least with Relics you get incremental rewards along the way. With the Trooper and Infernal dungeons, there is a barren wasteland ahead of you for hundreds of miles.
If you're a newer player, the best plan is to treat those dungeons like they don't exist for at least six months. Maybe you can pick up enough useful toons, talismans, skill shards, and frontier coins in the meantime.

It does seem like the newer you are, that there is sooo much more to have to earn/collect just to catch up. Last year at this time they had just released the God's of Egypt overpowered toons, plus primordials and eternals were the must have talis, many still being used today. But since then with all the talis (lab, alch, viper, cosmic, etc) the new Eds (NOTB, Gambler), and allies galore..... it would seem easier to just not start down that path. At least there are so many new soul types (reg., epic, leg., mythic) and ways to acquire the past catalogue of toons. Still, it's overwhelming and can be discouraging.
I just can't believe the older Ed's in the Trooper store, cost way too much and you can only get frags once a week.... all for an Ed that is underpowered.
Plus, do they still have skill shards for gold coins in the store? Is it just 2x a month or did they remove it? I bought some weeks ago, now that I have 70 million gold, they aren't available.

A lot of good posts here! We should always remember that this is a freemium game, if we want or not, that's the thing. I'd guess most of us would prefer it would be different and a "real" game, but these modern times have modern solutions (to create money).
Nevertheless there are strategies to cope with the consequences the freemium approach has. I am only a bit sorry for the people that just have a "different thinking" - no offense, and sorry for bad english - and really feel the need to get everything as soon as possible no matter the costs. They might be the main goal of the freemium approach to milk money and this might also hurt people that do not have the money, but a high affinity to gambling. Today you don't need to go to the casino to gamble and lose money, mobile games do provide that, too. This is the main part of the freemium thing that I completely reject. There is a certain psychologic manipulation within many parts of the game to create the fear of the dark, eeh missing out, and to get people into spending money to be competitive, at least for a while. Good luck to everyone to find the right strategy for your way of playing!
About the Infernal Dungeon: it is NOT an event, it is a permanent addtiion to the game. Unlike the Trooper Dungeon there seems to be no difference in terms of costs, currency etc. coming. Correct me if I am wrong, please! So there is no need to hurry, especially as the rewards are rather lame I think, especially as the Reapers do not drop (or maybe with <0.5% chance). Sure, it is the guaranteed way to get the new Eddie, but is he that great? I don't think so. This means there is the great option to wait until you have the right characters and start the grind then. The only thing you should do within time are the class restriction runs in the hell & fire dungeon to get some free keys for the Infernal Dungeon. Apart from that I see no urgent needs at the moment.
