Gauntlet Season Five- Win Battles in the Gauntlet to earn Moonchild Fragments!

Some should wonder why are they releasing an awakenable assassin character..... Out of all the classes, Assassin and Warrior have the most awakenable characters (3 each) compared to other classes (2 each).. So why release a 4th Assassin class character rather than a Sentinel, Magus, or Gunner class which would allow users to utilize resources for awakening OTHER than assassin resources?? I can possibly see why not a gunner class, given the recent release of Wrathchild (which no one seemed stoked about). So in two weeks.. will the next Gauntlet character be an awakenable Warrior class character?

Okay, once more the gauntlet has become extremely hard to clear.

I’ve noticed it’s always hardest on the first cycle of the new season. They want you to panic and drop $30 on that starter pack.

Holy crap! My assassin team just got wiped out. I have made it to SS or SSS for the last several months. I know that AAA can be a stumbling block, but I've generally been able to make it through. I had no chance this time against the following team:
Van Helsing Eddie
Count Dracula
Purple werewolf (nasty damage on revenge)
Madam

I couldn't even make it to the point where I could damage. They had immunity and my attempt to disable passives never worked. Oh well. At least I don't have to worry about doing any work in the gauntlet for a couple weeks. I guess I will be getting Van Helsing today and could try him, but stupidly I wasted all my good characters.

Actually.... I always see it as the standard AI cycle....

You know sometimes in PVP the Ai just kicks your ass against teams you SHOULD be winning against? Same thing can happen in the Gauntlet. The AI seems to cycle through "intelligence" levels and at times uses just the right move at the right time repeatedly. If you wait 4-8 hours and try again, chances are the AI has cycled and the same team won't be as difficult.

This happened to be last Gauntlet "season".. I got essentially shut out at one battle in the second round of SSS.. NOTHING I was doing was even getting close. It made little sense. I wanted a couple days, went back in and wiped the team out fairly easily.. and then moved on. Same team.. just at a different time. My biggest hurdle is to NOT keep fighting when I get a loss. To avoid that compulsion to "win"... Because at those times, you can easily rack up 3-4-5 losses against the same team.. until the AI cycles again.

There's no proof of any of this.. it's all merely my observation.

Me too! The Assassin Werwolf has 35% chance of revenge, but he does revenge 100%.
The cheating Defense AI is the most fckg s'*** in this Bug-Game.
But...all the last Gauntlet Event Toons are lame, so it doesn't matter!

FYI.. damage blocking does not work again REFLECTED damage. Sure a character which deals true damage can be blocked by Orbit talismans.. but when a shield or character REFLECTS true damage, it's like Orbits aren't even there. The M Werewolf along with the Dragonscale talismans make this abundantly clear.
