Post BRAVE NEW WORLD Quick Reference Guide

    Introduction
Hi folks, welcome to a quick run through of the 10th level in all three Brave New World Gardens. I'm trying something a little different, putting even more into the images this time. Hopefully it's still readable? Let me know! They look much larger here than they did when I was putting them together.

The written portion of this thread isn't complete yet, but with the Winter mega-event starting in BNW, I've decided to publish these images now, and come back and complete the rest later on.

What is the BRAVE NEW WORLD?
Brave New World is a permanent feature of the Time-Rift, perfect for farming talisman upgrade and evolution materials. There is a story here, relating to corrupted machines, technologically-advanced valkyries, and a giant biomutant Dragon King. The story was probably explained around the time this feature launched. I'll come back to this section later.

For now, here is what you need to know. Brave New World is a permanent feature of the Time-Rift, perfect for farming talisman upgrade and evolution materials. BNW is split into three dungeon, each focusing on different talisman classes. They all have 10 difficulty levels, similar to the original Lord of Light Dungeons. They start at 6 SoT per run and slowly rise to 10 SoT. As difficulty increases, the chance for higher level rewards also increases, with the rarest talismans only dropping in the highest levels. Each dungeon has a different version of the final boss, and while each level has a different enemy line-up, they all follow the same themes.

Garden of Life - The Gunner/Sentinel dungeon. Enemies have high HP and defensive buffs, but low damage stats. The Gunner Dragon King has a regenerating Titan Shield, which requires high damage attacks to break through.

Garden of Dismay - The Assassin/Magus dungeon. Enemies have lower HP, but compensate with defensive buffs and high damage stats. If you're not careful, you can end up Frozen. The Assassin Dragon King has a regenerating Force Shield, which requires multi-hit attacks to break through.

Garden of Fear - The Warrior dungeon. The enemies deal heavy damage, and specialise in Burns and Stuns. The Warrior Dragon King has both a Titan and Force shields, and almost twice the HP of the other Kings. A mixed team capable of dealing with a constant stream of damage-over-time effects will be needed here.

    Rewards
So what do we get for rescuing the future from the corrupting influence of the Dragon Kings? All sorts of things! Talismans EXP runes, 1-3* coloured and colourless evolution shards drop frequently. The talismans drop in their matching coloured dungeons, and only in a certain range of levels. A rare Talisman Key, to unlock the Cosmic Frontier Dungeon has a small chance of dropping on the 10th floor (5% according to the Talisman Dungeon launch blog post). The reward section in-game shows you everything that can drop, but in case you want to see it all at once, here you go. All the talisman descriptions can be found HERE in the Compendium.

WARNING: Using the Talisman Key will open up one of five randomly selected Natural 5* & Class-Restricted versions of the Cosmic Dungeon. You cannot pick which class version you want, so unless you have a very strong party in all five colours, you'll risk 'wasting' the key. Save them for later. You can find some more information about the Cosmic Dungeon over in this thread.

    The Three Kings
Who are these Dragon Kings? They don't have their own Compendium pages, and even their in-game descriptions can't show all their various abilities, passives, and fury. Here are their raw numbers:

You want MORE DETAILS? Sure, alright.
Here is a full run-down of the final level of each of the three dungeons. It shows the line-up of each wave, any talismans the enemies are wearing, any status effects they cause, and a description of any relevant passives. All enemies of the same type are identical (with the exception of the Wave 3 BOSS which has higher HP), so any written description of one applies to them all. I have compiled the Dragon King's abilities, and offered some strategic advice. While previous levels in the dungeon have different enemy line-ups, the general strategies apply to the whole dungeon.

While enemy talismans have been summarised at the bottom of each image, you can find more detailed information in the Compendium. Similarly, you can find detailed information about the Enemies and most of the Status Effects there too. Match the icons, and you should be fine. Don't be afraid to ask for clarification though!

The Garden of Life - Gunner/Sentinel - High HP, defensive enemies. Hit them hard to break the Titan Shield.

The Garden of Dismay - Assassin/Magus - High damage, defensive enemies. Bring a way to remove their buffs. Use multi-hit attacks to break the Force Shield.

The Garden of Fear - Warrior - High damage, debuffing enemies. Need a mixed team with a good support character. Both Force and Titan Shields.

    Team Suggestions
I've only recently been able to beat these levels myself, so while I can tell you what effects and mechanics you need to be able to handle, I'm not able to recommend specific teams designed for speed or reliability sorry. That's where you come in! What teams have you used? What characters really stood out for you?

    Feedback Please
As mentioned up the top, I'm posting this early due to the current BNW event. I will come back and expand on the written part, and collate people's team suggestions. What more would you like to know about these dungeons? What have I missed? Do you like the information-heavy images, or are they too messy? Feedback helps us all

    Team and Strategy Suggestions
This is where team suggestions and tactical advice will slowly be compiled.

    General Advice for All Gardens
While looking over years worth of previous posts and threads about the Brave New World, several characters repeatedly appeared in multiple team suggestion and bits of advice. While some of the recommendations are now outdated, I've collected a few which may still be helpful for newer players working their way through the lower stage of the Gardens.

    • Pharaoh Eddie - Given out to new players, this Sentinel Eddie's Fury deals true damage and grants Invincibility to the whole team. He can also revive dead allies if needed.
    • Navigator Eddie - This squishy 4* Gunner Eddie has several multi-hit attacks, useful for taking down Force Shields, as long as you can keep him alive.
    • Grim Reaper Eddie - This 5* Magus comes from Skull Mission achievements, and has multi-hit attacks.
    • Aces High Eddie - This 5* Gunner Eddie has a 6-hit Fury he can use almost every turn with enough Special.
    • Cyborg Eddie - Another 5* Gunner Eddie, who people were able to easily obtain during November's dungeon event, deals true damage, and has a 4-hit Fury. When awakened, he gains even more hits each turn.

    • The Killer Prime - He's good pretty much everywhere, and BNW is no exception. Multi-hit attacks, removes enemy buffs, and inflicts Permadeath. He is useful in all three Gardens, but especially in the Garden of Life. He is a Frontier Coin-only character, at 3,500FC, and one of the best investments you can make.
    • The Prisoner - Another character who works pretty much everywhere, he stops enemy passives from working. He is only a single-target attacker, and can't hit very hard, so you'll need a team that can support him. He is a random 5* summon from regular souls.
    • Golden Pharaoh Dog - This is an achievement character, and relatively easy for most players to obtain. His passive reduces the damage your team takes, and his attacks have a chance to cleanse negative effects and grant you Immunity. He may be outclassed these days, he this good dog will still get you far.
    • The Clairvoyant - Claire can remove enemy buffs, revive your team, and her Fury cleanses your team from debuffs. She comes from the Trooper Souls, or for 300 Frontier Coins in the store.
    • Magus Lilith - Similar to the Clairvoyant, the blue Lilith can cleanse your team of debuffs. She also has the Block passive, helping to keep your more vulnerable characters alive. She comes from Lilith Souls or for 700FC in the store.
    • The Five Valkyries - This group of five 4* characters were released alongside BNW, although the blue one came a little bit later in a fragment event. They all have their uses in these dungeons. The Warrior Ragna provides burn and freeze immunity, the Magus Kari has a 5-hit attack, the Green Val has a 3-hit aoe attack, the Gunner Eda can cleanse your team and grant Immunity, and Assassin Astra provides immunity to Mark, Curse, and Doom. Being 4* characters, they are not too difficult to obtain.
    • The Gunner Dog - This 3* character has a 6-hit attack with a chance to take extra turns. Give him an Echo talisman, and tear through Force Shields.
    • The Gunner Undead Allied Soldier - This is the character you get from the daily login reward each month. Their basic attack hits 4 times, and has a chance to give each ally an extra turn. He can wear Vorpal talismans, leading to even more turns.

    Garden of Fear
    General Advice
Let's start with a simple but super effective suggestion courtesy of Fudjo, who you might know for the wonderful Asset Management Guide.
On the fourth wave in GoF X, you will encounter the Warrior Undead Rescuer. He is currently the only Warrior with the Block passive, and he can wear Siege talismans, which grant immunity to all physical damage. Since almost everything deals physical damage here, you might already see where this is going. With this 4* character on your team, wearing a set of Siege talismans from the Clan store, the only thing you'll have to worry about is burn damage (which the Block passive doesn't cover), Marks, and breaking the Dragon King's shields in time. Pair him with a strong multi-hit Eddie, and you'll be free to safely level up two other allies while farming this dungeon.

I tested this myself with a Grim Reaper Eddie (an achievement character), wearing Gate talismans to remove the burns at the beginning of each battle, and a 4* Undead Rescuer. Neither of them were max level or skill-sharded. It took ages as you can see in the edited-screenshot, but it worked. Using a purposefully weak team also allowed me to discover while both the DK's shields share the same reset timer, he will only reset the current shield, and not both of them. With properly levelled characters, this is a viable strategy with relatively easy-to-acquire characters.

    General Advice
The Assassin Dragon King's attacks ONLY deals True damage, meaning a set of Orbit talismans, which grant true damage immunity to your whole team, will turn the boss fight into a cakewalk, providing you can handle his Fury's Doom debuff. Orbits are event-only, and well-worth aiming for the next time they're on offer.

The main GoD image in the first post above suggests you shouldn't worry too much about what type of damage you are using against the Dragon King, but there is room for nuance and efficiency here. While he is immune to Physical and Magical damage, each hit of those types gets converted into true damage equivalent to 2% of his Max HP. Since you'll be using multi-hit characters to break his Force Shield, those 2%s add up quickly, only needing 25 hits, the same amount his shield needs on stage X, to bring him to his halfway point where he'll automatically regenerate his shield. However, on the lower stages, where his HP is greatly reduced, you will have more luck using characters who deal true damage directly. You may also find high-end true damage characters such as a Max Awakened Cyborg Eddie will be more efficient even on the higher stages. Feel free to run your own calculations if you're aiming for the fastest boss fights, but don't worry too much about it.

UPDATES: Have revamped the Rewards image. Here was the original, for comparison:

    KNOWN ISSUES:
The Dismay image is missing information about Wave 4's Assassin Corrupted Rescuer.
While earlier floors follow that Garden's theme, there are some enemies which don't appear in level X. Will include those in a future update.
The Dragon King stats image doesn't have a proper transparent background.

    Incredible work. Nice job, Azagthor.

Constructive Criticism: the "Brave New Worlds Rewards" graphic is pretty confusing. Trying to show a lot in a little space, tough challenge. Everything else: you hit it out of the park. 100/100

    ...

Word of Warning: if you are a new player, BEWARE of the Cosmic Talisman dungeon. Not BNW, but the key you earn in level X. Restrictions are natural 5-star characters only, in a random class that you don't know until you open the key. The first time I opened one, I had ZERO Eddies that qualified class/star restrictions.

I'm having another one of those "uninstall this app and throw my phone in a lake" moments.

Both of those are excellent points! I'll go add that warning to the main post right away. I've been holding off trying that dungeon for exactly that reason!

Yeah, spent a bit of time trying to work out how best to show which talismans drop where. Would be easy enough to put it into a simple chart, but wanted to try something a little more compact. I'll sleep on it and see if I can come up with something clearer.

    It's amazing.
Your mentor Bakura must be proud 😆.
Idk how much time took to you made this, but, I (everyone) give you thanks for all this information.
It's gonna be a little easier to complete this event than others.
You can play any level, so, if you have problems to make some challenge (like me with Magus toons) just play the first ones and done!

    One question....

Have you gotten the job offer yet or are they dragging their heels?
