Ancient Mariner (Avenger/Energy) works well too. And of course M LOL, but I figured that may be a non-starter as well. M Onyx Son with Celestials is good....

The team I ran for M achievement was in the end:
Scrooge (celestial & cosmic)
LOL (alchemy & cosmic)
LOL (oracle)
Crimean S (warlord, sustaining & inspiration)

Didn’t change the positions. I’m sure the team would be faster if Crimean began. But it was safe auto farming though.

But 1 time the game got stuck, when Crimean used frozen flesh for S ghost. Ghost was frozen permanently and was ghosted. As he couldn’t act and finish his 1 round, the counter never reached zero and he didn’t die.

I haven't claimed any of my frags yet. I'm waiting for soul number 100 to see what I still need.

It's a good thing I already have all of the previously released toons and I'm only going for the new stuff. Otherwise this would feel like a giant waste of my time.

Opened up my final 20 souls and was created with

2 sentinel elves
1 non-christmas four star
17 non-christmas 3 stars

Opened up my Frag souls
2 Sentinel Ghosts
1 Assassin Ghost
1 Magus ghost

Now the question is can I fit in the about 300 more runs to try to get that gunner ghost? I am getting tired of these either or souls for new characters. I don't mind it for the krampuses as they are both already released toons but boy is it annoying to spend all that time grinding and get boned by rng

I had to open 240 to get Coalgiver, think someone worked out the odds and it's about 5% for 10 souls, so not great. On "Average" you should have it in 100 souls, but, well, sometimes it takes 240 LOL

It's half that rate, works out at a 0.51% chance for Coalgiver each soul. So your 240 isn't too unlucky.

Would have liked to get my hands on a Coalgiver for ego reasons, but quite pleased I managed to get all the ghosts and krampuses in the 100 event souls. They should give my roster a well needed boost

Good f'n luck.. 1600 runs.. hundreds of souls.. 4 full frag pulls.. and never saw the gunner ghost.

FYI, although I had Coalgiver from last year.. I never saw him in this event until the LAST 10 souls I dropped (will drop).. then he popped up.

Confirm: Santa dropped from the 10th pack. And no G ghost for me either.

Well, I decided to finish the Sentinel/Insanity challenge, just to check off the list.
I used a variation on Yup's setup (thanks man!)

The main issue is that the camera view is so low, it's really difficult to select targets or get perfect hits.

Seems to happen a LOT... I realize they are recycling code.. but I wish they'd fix this. It can be damn near impossible to target an enemy due tot he view angle, and some dungeons completely hide enemies behind allies.

Besides the view and angle all the stacks of buffs interfer with the game.

At least in ravens alter the buffs on raven in the last wave is offset.

75 souls now. Marleyx3, future x1, hunter wickerdeerx2, Assassin krampus, ghost of Christmas past, coalgiver duplicate, ghost of Christmas present, several other 4 stars, multiple 3 stars. Probably not getting scrooge. Out of ironite.
