It takes at least 5800 ironite to "collect" the Edd this current method without "luck" involved. It took 3630 for me to gather the frags necessary for Scrooge. The Scrooge event was cheaper on ironite, but the grind is mind numbing. As far as Yup's situation with Gunner Ghost, I would be and have been pissed and disappointed in the past. They will chalk it up to RNG, but I think something can be done to address that. What I did was save enough frags for 3 souls and dropped them at the same time. Got 2 Sentinel and 1 Gunner so it worked out.

They are just riding the gravy train as long as it lasts.

A purchase only event is just a money grab. If they give the option to grind, buy or both is the best for the players. If you have the time, ironite, and toons to grind you earn the toons and all the rewards associated. If you dont have the time or toons and want to purchase souls that at least is an option.

They just want to coerce you to buy the souls so you wont be left behind. All the while knowing you will need more ironite to grind all other events or resource gathering worlds.
