Storm the Fallen Fortress - a new permanent Frontier Dungeon has just launched!

To celebrate its release, we’re hosting a new event where you can work towards Medieval Awakening Material and rare Talismans!

From now until November 11th at 4PM PT, complete Event Challenges in the Fallen Fortress Frontier Dungeon to earn Fearless Fragments, Gold, Equilibrium Soul Fragments and MORE!

You can access the Fallen Fortress Dungeon by:
    • Completing a repeatable event challenge (Spend 100 Sands of Time)
    • Claiming 1 free Key Soul in the store
    • Purchasing Key Souls with Gold (this event only)
    • Purchasing Key Souls with Frontier Coins.

More details on the Dungeon below!

Fearless Soul Fragments are used in store to purchase rare items including a character specific Cosmic Talisman for Day of the Dead themed characters, as well as the return of the Cosmic Trooper Eddie Talisman! These rare items are available in the store only during this event, and it may be a long time before you see them again.

The Cosmic Nagual Talisman provides an exclusive bonus when equipped to The Nagual, The Witch Doctor, Shaman Eddie and the following upcoming characters: Day of the Dead Eddie, the Spirit Jaguar. This Talisman increases the wearers stats in battle, and reduces incoming damage. It will also give the wearer:

50% Chance to Transform All Beneficial Effects, including Golden effects, on each enemy into a Stun, Freeze or Sleep effect, including Silver and Unblockable effects, and up to 3 Marks for 1 turn at the start of battle and at the start of your turn if you are not at full HP. Gain Immunity and Endure for 2 turns when you take damage. Once per battle, Revive with 10% HP and gain Immunity to Damage for 2 turns.

The Cosmic Trooper Eddie Talisman provides an exclusive bonus when equipped to Trooper Eddie, Battlefield Trooper Eddie, or U.S. Cavalry Eddie. This Talisman increases stats in battle, and reduces incoming damage. It will also make the wearer:

Immune to Doom, Dark Ghost, Apparition and all Stat Reduction effects. Remove All Negative Effects, including Silver and Unblockable effects, from self and become Immune to Damage and All Negative Effects, including Silver and Unblockable effects, for 3 turns when you reach 1 HP for the first time in battle. Deal 6 hits of Additional True Damage to random enemies equal to 66% of your MISSING HP after every action.

You can also trade in Fearless Fragments to pick up the unique Awakening material for Dark Ages themed characters - the Medieval Awakening Shard!

Equilibrium Fragments are the event currency of our Forbidden Knowledge Clan Mega event that is running until January.

Trade your Equilibrium Fragments in the Event Store for rare rewards including Baphomet, Rare Talismans and more!

You can learn more about this featured event in the Forbidden Knowledge event post here!

We also have a few other items available in the Store to help you prevail in battle!

    • Short on Medieval Awakening Shards? Get the Medieval Awakening Shard Finisher pack for Ironite!
    • We also have a variety of T2 Gold Cosmic Talismans on offer. Available set effects include Grail, Sun, Greed and Reaper!

    Fallen Fortress Dungeon Details
Earn Templar Crusader Eddie by completing Fallen Fortress Dungeon Achievements!

Once it is unlocked, the Fallen Fortress Dungeon will be open for 2 hours total and can be played an unlimited amount of times during that period. This dungeon also comes with a restriction making it so only 4★ Magus and Assassin class characters can be used to play!

The first time you complete this dungeon, you will receive set rewards including a Legendary Soul, Talisman Soul Fragments and more. All subsequent victories are guaranteed to provide Evo Shards, as well as a chance of bonus rewards, including Babylon and Aim Talismans.

The Fallen Fortress Dungeon has 6 new Achievements associated with it. Complete 4 of these Achievements to earn Templar Crusader Eddie, the fully skill sharded Special Edition version of Crusader Eddie.

You can learn more about this character by checking the Compendium in the Book of Souls screen, and see full Achievement details in-game!

**IMPORTANT: If you purchase another Fallen Fortress Dungeon Frontier Key while the corresponding Dungeon is already open you will refresh that dungeon's countdown timer.

The Fallen Fortress Key Soul Pack has no cost and gives a purchase failed error if you attempt to use it to see what the cost might be.

Honestly, quite a good change from the previous dungeon. Simple, fun, and gives good rewards. Good work for the first event of November, not counting Dead Man's Party.

A new frontier dungeon is always cause to celebrate! Nice to see the Monstegur dungeon return, your artists did a wonderful job with it.

Let's start with the launch event challenges. Nothing too unusual, they've settled into a comfortable pattern with these frontier events. 2000 fragments every 1000 runs, up to 12000 when you include the talisman-wearing challenges. If you're aiming for two T3s in the event story, you'll be looking at either 300 runs with at least two of the talismans, or 400 runs without any. You'll need at least one of the talismans if you want three T3s though. So good thing those talismans aren't too difficult to acquire.

GRAIL - Mayan Dungeon, Necropolis stage
    SUN - Samurai Dungeon
GREED - Eternal Dungeon, Beelzebub stage
    REAPER - Infernal Dungeon Normal

Make sure you actually spend your fragments in the event store though. Don't be like me, a massive idiot, who still has all their thousands of Firery Frags from last month serving as an undying reminder of their eternal shame.

Now let's take a look at the fights. Enemies are all 4*, and only the central enemies each wave wear talismans. To balance this somewhat, you are restricted to only using natural 4* or less Magus and Assassin characters. Thankfully there are no restrictions on your talismans.

The first wave, at least with the team I've been using, has proved the most inconsistent, and the main cause for a 30s variance in my run times. Ragnaroks don't stick in the first turn, they'll strip your beneficial effects at the start, and you need to kill every enemy. If you can get through the first wave, you'll be more than fine though. The remaining four waves all feature a boss character, so the wave ends when you kill them. Rather useful in the 4th wave for example, as you can avoid having to deal with the Sanctified Knight's innate shields if you quickly kill the Hierophant.

Quick note about the dungeon drops. The event description says the dungeon is supposed to reward XP Runes. This is incorrect, the guaranteed rewards appear to be 2* Blue, Yellow, or Colourless EVO Runes.

My current team, built to handle as many challenges/achievements as possible at once, has a 1min average, with the fastest being 45s:

    Crusader Eddie - Envious/Bespoke
(Templar and Executioner Eddie in the back-seat, with the challenge talismans)
    Assassin Hierophant - Forge/Alchemy Cosmic
    Wicker Owl Evolved (6*) - Gluttonous/Chance Cosmic
    Inquisition Archer - Ragnarock/Angel Cosmic

I'm sure it can be improved, especially when it comes to dealing with that first wave. Pity Sevastapol counts as a 5* character.

I've been running this team, which has a fastest time of 29s but typically runs at 34-36s:

Templar Crusader Eddie: Lantern, Grail, Crusader T3
    Max Owl: Giant
    Purple Heirophant: Banner, Warlord
    Purple Archer: Ragnarok, Strike
    (Backseat Crusader: Reaper, Greed cosmic)
    (Backseat Max Executioner: Reaper, Sun)

Ohhhhh! For your team, I bet regular Crusader Eddie is wasting time with his Fury animation. Try switching to Templar Crusader Eddie in the main team and put regular Crusader in the back seat.

I don't have the Max Owl or some of the talis, so here's a variation. Consistenlty ~1 minute runs (59 sec typical occasionally over):

Templar Crusader Eddie - Apocalypse, Crusader T3
Assassin Hierophant - (any crappy talis)
Inquisition Archer - Ragnarok, Cosmic Force
Magus Mongol Archer - Labyrinth, Mongol T3
    - carry Executioner + Crusader with talis for achievements.

Seems odd to the using the char intended to be received as the reward (Templar Crusader Ed) of standard achievements. Has this happened in the past?
