Because the designers of this game are putting in as much thought as Republican congresspeople.

    - Make repetitive event that's exactly like every other event
    - Pick 4 talismans at random
    - Add new difficulty to shitty key dungeon
    - Dole out useless rewards that end of game players don't even need, making the entire event skippable.

I think the reason for the talismans here is because Shattered Yumi drop from the dungeon. The talismans are never at random, they're the talismans that the dungeon drops at various levels. As for useless rewards, yeah maybe you as an endgame player don't need it but a player who might need more awakening shards could benefit from it. If an event is skippable I don't see what the issue is; do you want your phone constantly being taken up by Legacy of the Beast Usage?

Good point - my devices breathe a collective sigh of relief when there's an event like this that I've no interest in the rewards for :P Nothing wrong with some events being of no interest to end game players as long as it isn't every event. If you *need* something to do there's always the monthly dungeon grind.
