Is there anybody out there?

The only activity I see here anymore are the monthly tuning notes and the occasional spam-bot posts offering sexy-time hookups or whatever (seriously, does no one moderate this board anymore?)... No announcements of events, no discussion of game improvements, and certainly no communication when things go sideways.

Take the current 'Dead and Buried' event (October 2024), which claims players can "earn the new Cosmic Halloween talisman". Three days in, and there is still no sign of this alleged talisman in the store. Where is it? The splash page said to "see Events tab in-store", but it is nowhere to be found. What gives? Is the event info incorrect, or is there an error in the store, or something else entirely?

This type of thing used to be discussed here on the forum - to inform players of known issues, what was being done about them, and when we could expect a resolution. Now, only radio silence. Sure, I could swing by the facebook page to see if there is any info, but it is just as opaque over there when all it says is 'we are working on it'.

Don't get me wrong, I'm just someone who enjoys playing the game, I have zero delusion that I am somehow owed something from the game, the developers, or management. I'm simply saying that it would be nice to know what is going on with the game beyond the bare minimum that is shared in-game and online. Especially in this type of situation where there is obviously some kind of issue impacting gameplay.

Now I have not posted this message out of anger, but more out of lament that this was once the place to go for all things "Legacy of the Beast". No announcements of events, no more discussions of strategies to get through challenging areas, and no sense of community that enhanced the gaming experience. It is all very un-Iron Maiden.

It would be unfair of me to comment on the sad state of affairs that is the communications and engagement coming from Nodding Frog (or whoever the hell is in charge of the game these days) without recognizing the efforts of Ruby_LOTB to keep the forum alive when everyone else has appeared to abandon ship. Thank you for keeping the information flowing when no one else seems to care...

In conclusion, I encourage all the old heads out there to sound off. The notion of Clan-Wars may have divided us, and sent everyone scurrying away into their own corners, but I know that there are a lot of people with questions and ideas that can be shared right here in this forum. Come out wherever you are.


And seriously, what is the deal with that Cosmic Halloween talisman?

Hey man, the devs have indicated elsewhere that the Cosmic Halloween Talisman will appear in the store later this week. So keep earning and saving the frags.

I agree 100% with your disappointment about the demise of the forum. The best days of the game were pre-Clans when virtually all game-related discussion happened here. I'd love to see a rebirth and second the call for others to respond.
