Could Eddie be the seventh son of a seventh son...? And is the clairvoyant the sister of said son? Only time will tell.

    Spoiler:
In the end of the Underworld once you defeat the Beast, Clairvoyant dies. Then a grandpa calling himself The Alchemist appears and says to Eddie to follow him quickly. In the end lore chapters, Shrive of Sin and Last Breath we learn that her brother's name is John Dee. So maybe that's the guy who appears to Eddie after.
If she was man she wouldn't die so easily!!!

    Commentary for Album

I have found an Iron Maiden commentary >> click here for commentary.

The commentary for Seventh Son album is very informative. Click here for 7Sot7S commentary.

'Moonchild': the Devil addresses the parents of the Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, mostly the mother, and warns them
    that "all resistance is futile."

'Infinite Dreams': the Seventh Son's father, himself a Seventh Son, has visions he does not understand and that torture
    him.

'Can I Play With Madness': the Seventh Son's father looks for an explanation of his visions and consults a prophet; he
    doesn't like what he's told.

'The Evil That men Do': the Seventh Son of a Seventh Son is conceived; the father possibly dies.

'Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son': birth of the child with supernatural powers; Good and Evil both try to take him over.

'The Prophecy': the young man has harnessed his powers to discover that disaster looms; naturally, no one listens to him
    and the village is destroyed.

'The Clairvoyant': the Seventh Son of a Seventh Son is now a seer who has control of his powers, although they quickly
submerge him and are probably the cause of his death.

'Only The Good Die Young': bitter reflection on the events; was it all worth it? Back to square one.

Yeah, I know that you're gonna scratch me, maim me and maul.
You know I'm helpless from your mesmerizing cat call.

Keep your distance, walk away, don't take his bait.
Don't you stray, don't fade away.
Watch your step, he's out to get you, come what may.
Don't you stray, from the narrow way.
Go ahead and use my Eddie in any way.
Add BobASmith-6226 if you want to play him.

Although in the game she's listed as "The" Clairvoyant, that article in the name is relative; thus, she could be the only Clairvoyant Eddie knows of, as I'm sure they will make the (very cool) Clairvoyant Eddie, but not necessarily the only Clairvoyant in existence. So, for example, "The Boss" that you work for (if you have a boss) would not be the same "The Boss" that I work for.

This really is a silly thread, and I don't see the connection to political correctness nor to "going commercial". Iron Maiden have always been commercial. They always said "no synthesizers or ulterior motives" in their liner notes, and have removed this statement from even early albums in recent re-releases, since they obviously used them heavily sick Somewhere in Time. Their merchandising is also a huge part of the appeal of the band and their music. They have also opened every album except Book of Souls with a commercial tune that is short and upbeat.

All that said, i have to ask, so what if a band "goes commercial"? Commercialism helps the band make more music. It allows them to experience things and places they normally couldn't, which also inspires new music.

People who don't want to "sell out" are not living in modern society. Look at Rush, who wrote, "making modern music can still be open hearted" and have made some great classics since "going commercial".

Sorry for the rant, but this makes me think of people who steal music and expect their favorite groups to whip money out of thin air to make more music.

Maiden's music will never be commercial, but if you're concerned they are commercially benefiting from products, don't buy trooper beer or any t shirts or whatever. I will, thanks.

As far as the clairvoyant issue goes, it's really quite simple - her name is Clair. Get on with your day.
