The best Red Talisman for max Attack stat

    Goal: Max attack stat
Character: Samurai Eddie 5 stars, level 81 Warrior
    Base stats:

    8058HP
    643 Attack
    622 Defence
    211 Magic
    395 Magic Resist
    219 Special

Assumptions: not all red talismans were tested and at the moment I am ignoring all other stats and bonuses and simply focusing on the Attack stat to see just how much damage prob one of the best hitters in the game can do.
Red Talismans are not created equal apparently (blue talismans seem to retain their base modifiers at upgrade to 5 stars, red talismans do not and the difference is shocking). This may or may not be a bug, upgrade at your own risk.
For obvious reasons I am only focusing on a pair of talismans that have built in attack multiplier bonuses.
    TALISMANS (5 stars level 1):

    Guardian Talisman (fierce):
    1142 HP
    451 Attack
    114 Defence
    Bonus:
    Attack + (Attack)(0.20 Defence)
= +128 Attack per modifier (this is in practice, it's actually taking 20% of the attack base stats and not the defence stats), and the difference if it was taking 20% of the defence base stat is negligible anyway with a samurai Eddie as it would still be an increase in 124 attack per modifier.

    Strength Talisman (fierce):
    1142 HP
    451 Attack
    114 Defence
    Bonus:
    Attack +(0.15 attack)
= +96 attack per modifier (right on the money where it's supposed to be)

    Guardian Talisman (skilled):
    206 Attack
    65 Defence
    65 Magic Resist
    Attack +(.15 attack)
    (WTF)?

Conclusion: although my talismans are not max at five stars at this point and a max guardian vs a max strength talisman might have different maximums, I am assuming their ceilings remain the same. It should be of note that a very slight edge goes to the Guardian Talisman (fierce), over the strength talisman (fierce) due to the modifier bonus. WTF is with the skilled talisman? It's base stats at five stars are absurdly low in comparison.
I have briefly observed base stats for blue talismans and they appear to be even across the board at this point... Green talismans however have broken modifiers at least some of the time, more on this in a different post.
Final thoughts on talismans: the bonus modifiers appear to be using base statistics for the character, meaning the bonuses DO NOT APPEAR TO STACK. I have read from others on this forum that they've seen bonuses stack and would love to see some data supporting this, I will not rule out more broken in game mechanics with regards to talismans.

A crude observation on talisman passive and active skills bonuses thus far: none of the skill sets I have tested with their percentage rates of 35-45% appear to be worth it at least with my characters (I haven't tried them much with splash characters admittedly), not a single one. The bonus modifiers appear to be much better than an extra skill acquired from a rare talisman mostly due to consistency.

Interesting. I'd think that straight +% ATK would be best, but it seems + 20% of DEF is stronger than + 15% of ATK, given how close the base stats are.

It is true that the bonus modifiers is based on the character base stats.

However, I've tested 4x Health Talisman, and another character with 4x Guardian Talisman and all shows that the set bonus modifier stacks.

I think there's some confusion as to stacking.

If I have 500 ATK, and two sets of Talismans give 200 ATK and passive +15% ATK per set, then I get 500+200+200+75(500*.15)+75(500*.15)=1050 .
    Not 500+200+200+75(500*.15)+86(500+75*.15)=1061.
    Not 500+200+200+135(900*.15)+135(900*.15)=1170.
    Not 500+200+200+135(900*.15)+155(900+135*.15)=1190.

This is also what I'm getting, when I refer to stacking I'm referring to percentages providing "compound interest," which they don't appear to. The modifier bonus is only from the base stat and summed, not multiplied.

    Absolutely.

Crappy talismans, but I don't have a good set of Reds.

    Red Soulless Demon
    Base ATK 259
2x Strength Talismans (set 0.15x STR)
    +111, +120, bonus 38
2x Strength Talismans (set 0.15x STR)
    +49, +49, bonus 38

Totals should be 259 + 405, which matches my display.

PSA: seems fractions are rounded down, as 38.85 becomes 38 in this instance.
