Who to evolve - 5* magic character

just got my shards to evolve to a 5* magic character , my options:

golden son
allied soldier
angel of pain

hope someone can help me to decide

Thats a tough one. Personally I'd say Allied Soldier. By far one of the best toons in the game. But a bit 'generic' is all.

The blue golden son would be my 2nd option. Hits all, just his heal doesnt seem to go off when you need it least

Angel is great, but is a single hitter only. If PvP comes out, then his passive will be hugely important, but for now, the other two are better in my opinion.

Golden Son, equip him with freezing talis, he is good.

Golden Son. Allied soldier is nerfed quite a bit and mirror shield is still bugged. Maxed Golden Son can do huge damage, heals and revieves itself.

Nerfed? He just scales on HP now did you know? So the talisman set just needs to be different, but he still is one of the biggest hitters in the game. Also, reflect still halves damage, its just instead of reflecting 50% damage, its only 25% now. But he still does damage off-turn, which is huge. As for bugged, what do you mean? In the lord of light dungeons? I still try to avoid using it against retaliation enemies, but I havent had it bug out on me in a while even when it gets applied accidentally while Im on auto....

wow i haven't noticed that until now that i read your post!
Now my question is: in order to obtain the max damage that the magus soldier can deal, is it better to invest more in his max hp with some green talismans, or in magic talismans to increase his MAGIC parameter? I never understood in these cases what affects more the damage dealt..either the max hp or the magic

For beginner to middle level players, I would recommend solider as he will help you past a few of the most difficult madness levels. For the advanced player, golden son is a toon that is probably the best long-term option.
