Any tropper for the beast?

I added him (Arcturus-1987). I've got a maxed out Angel of Fear that hits like a truck and'll give the team an extra turn.

Some advice though - have him change his champion to an Eddie so it's easier for people to use (at least until he upgrades the talismans on his General). Talisman selection and upgrades are critical to building a good team. Have him take a closer look at character skills.
