    Cyborg Eddie is no more a good character. His Beam Attack Power Ability buffed by AG Atk up deals much lesser than the nerfed Assassin GS basic move...what's the point? No massive damage, no party healing nor buff. 24 skill shards wasted.
    I'm afraid of this with GR, 28 shards to max him out, I'm at 20 right now and will have enough TP to get him another tonight. Might as well throw them to my meathead instead, he probably won't be nerfed for awhile.

    Of course this update seems to be the least stable one yet. It took 3 logins to get to the cosmos , First battle was a lock up, force stop it is, re log and now I get the roller for 5 minutes, force stop re log, lets try it again. OK re logging in wow made it all the way through, took it about 30 seconds after Boss died to drop chest, Hopefully I won't loose troopers tonight.


    I did feel compelled to spend more money on this game a couple of weeks ago, after all I really like the game and want it to stay solvent. I spent $50 for myself and $50 for my wife to get ironite for BNW event. Did either my wife get a new character? it's a rhetorical question. Not going to happen for a Sentinel Viking. Sentinel Viking WTF shouldn't that have been a bad ass with a big Axe.


    Oh look they filled in the trophy icon for challenges, that is exactly what I was hoping for.

    Bottom line if I were a dev on this project I think I would get a new job now before the reputation of this game followed me out the door.

    That is odd, since he should be using other skills more often. We'll have a look at his AI.

    We were noticing that there was an unusually large chunk of players who wouldn't interact with challenges at all, so we wanted to throw something on there that made it a bit more eye-catching, but it shouldn't be doing that all the time, just if you haven't seen the new day's rewards or if you have rewards to claim or something. I'll look into that.

    There's a couple of things to unpack here from the change we did:

    • We want true damage to always scale evenly with Attack and Magic, and therefore wanted to make his skills consistent with other true damage skills
    • Looking at some of his skills, the amount of scaling they get from Special is not as high as intended
    • This character is intended to be more of an ability disabler than a damage dealer, so while we expect some of his skills are capable of doing reasonably high damage, they shouldn't be doing way more than one of the strongest AoE Assassins


    Overall, me and Kaz have gone over your initial reactions and want to revisit and improve some of his scaling accordingly. While his role is not to do crazy damage while also doing all of the various crowd control stuff that he currently does, our changes split his Attack scaling into Attack + Magic scaling (and the lower than expected Special scaling) swung his overall damage output lower than intended, and we will look at rectifying that for a subsequent update.

    So while I generally agree with the chorus of disagreement about nerfing rare characters (Cyborg and General in particular)...

    THANK YOU developers for fixing two bugs that I reported here that were really affecting gameplay: the Siege bug and the persistent buff/debuff bug. The latter looks fixed to me from some damage testing, although as a minor annoyance I seem to be unable to long click on a character to verify.

    Hopefully the other bug that was affecting me, 75% loading until reinstall, is also gone although only time will tell.

    In this regard, are the Warrior Axis Bomber Boy stats as intended? His basic attack does true damage, but his Attack stat is significantly is higher than his Magic, and he's got a required red slot.

    Yeah, sorry about that... we actually had a hugely revamped popup we were working on that would go into a lot more detail about current stat bonuses, descriptions of the status effects on the character, and more. That was intended to go out in this update, but it had more issues with it than we expected, so we had to disable it (and inadvertently disabled that tooltip you're talking about). We hope to have that introduced soon.

    less character tuning and more of something new and interesting to do would draw me back in. As it is I'm pretty bored with it

    There is probably some other characters that do true damage with scaling that doesn't evenly pull from Attack and Magic, but I think we're going to want to make sure we've correctly handled the conversion in Cyborg Eddie's case before we touch anyone else.

    The vast majority of cases where we're correcting the scaling shouldn't greatly change the damage being done, even if that does mean that optimal builds and setups to maximize damage may change. Cyborg Eddie is a weird case due to his 5 power Beam Attack was doing more without much investment than the 0 power Assassin Golden Son basic, or the 10 power Meteor talisman skill (even though it's definitely doing less now than it should be).

    And hellhound warrior type has more magic damage than physical, hilarious. We are getting tired of so much beta testing, we are players not testers, stop playing with the peoples money.
    Again, reset skillshards and announce what chars are going to be nerfed before any update, so we wont invest on them.

    I am ariving at this conclusion as well. I am rather sick of the direction the powers that be insist on taking this game.

    1. We don't even have BNW released, which should have happened one month ago, but for the bugs.

    2. We have no ascertainable release date of PVP other than "soon" (Which has been stated for 2 if not 3 updates now

    3.IF/when/IF/IF/IF PVP EVER shows, devs have shown they cannot run a single addition without a host of bugs, which takes weeks, months, ???s to address (if ever).

    4. While we will not have PVP this year, much less stable PVP, the characters we have earned and developed have been steadily nerfed since august, IIRC.


    The time to adjust character performance/balance should have been AFTER a STABLE PVP platform had been released, not months before. Devs are playing wargames on a vaporware module and neutering our characters in the meantime with no benefit whatsoever to ANY participating player at present. There is no advance warning or discussion about these ideas... simply a unilateral augmentation of characters for their simulations that cost us performance and invested resources now.

    I really do not understand the thought process of these people at all. What was the point of this update? This should have been a bug fix and "Maybe" the release of a new character that few of us even have the slots to accommodate, while fewer even stand a chance to receive it in the first place.

    The furthest we have come to date is a brief Halloween module (which but for a bug that granted me access the other day is gone) and two sets of promo characters. We are all bored with the game, logging on for the benefit of trooper support...so we can earn badges... to buy things for characters the devs then ruin. Seeing how little real progress we have made, it seems as though it would have been better in hindsight to have had no "progress" at all. Instead of the "additions and alterations," we would have been better off with the time invested strictly on bug fixes, leaving the promo characters for release with the actual modules.

    After the BNW fizzle, I have lost all excitement/expectation of these upcoming releases. The only thing we have had with consistency is bad news: deliberate nerfing and adjoining bugs. Sometimes we get a new character, but who really cares when you discover it will only be a matter lf time before it gets tampered with? I still love the game and see the potential, but seriously... this has become pointless and stupid. I never cared THAT much for the PVP option and given the track record of past updates and priorities, I am all but certain that the option will be nothing but a "too litte-to late" disappointment, particularly with all we have een forced to pay in advance for it.

    Sorry for the bitter pill, devs., but you've earned this. I'm done supporting you financially as well. Show me/us you deserve our support and we'll see about the future, but so far, you have NOT lived up to your end.
