I bought a skill shard this morning and had the 6 day timer. I just logged in and the timer has reset.

It must be the new month. I bought a soul with my Trooper badges today and I'm able to buy it again. The bad news: daily rewards reset...

Yeah, it was the month reset. Lamia explained it on another post. The daily rewards are on a 24-day cycle to allow casual players and players who join late in the month to claim all or most of the rewards.
But yes, the Trooper reset is a Godsend!
