I'm so tired of losing to "hold". 6 arena battles in a row, he's gone first five times, and I have yet to kill a single one of his toons. So much for cracking the 2,000's this week... meanwhile, I'm still hovering around 5% on the defensive win side. Hooray for 5* characters that I don't have!

Seriously, PvP is some of the most frustrating shit I've done in ages.

Also, it doesn't seem right to lose three in a row to the same person who is THREE THOUSAND points lower than me simply because he gets to go first. Something has tone done about that, because that's just stupid.

Can I ask a really silly question? Why did you try 6 times? I normally call it a day after 2 losses and hope luck will be on my side another day.

I ask myself that same question every time I hit three or four in a row -- but then figure, "I'm not letting this &@$*#%ing game beat me! Besides, the odds of him going first again are astronomical!" I would do well to remember the odds of getting 18 SS's into my GR Eddie before getting a single one into his Fury are essentially null, but by all the Gods, it happened.

I guess it just boils down to the fact that I hate losing. This is why I never go into Casinos... 😏

I agree with TTaG. Strategy is key. If you lose twice - either take a break, or vary your mix of attackers.

And tailor your attack team to the situation. Hold has a Viking Eddie - his MR is insane - if you're going in there with the Grim Reaper you mentioned it may not be the best choice.

The chance of him going first again is 50%. Given the longer the AI defends, the more opportunities there are for it to screw up so I can well believe that a defence that is geared towards winning quickly when it goes first and has little chance when it goes second is a good idea.

It's the point system! I.E. I can attack u 2x, lose both & walk away down 26 pts. Or I can go again & if I win I walk away down 6pts. All comes down to math,odds. Same with attacking lower ranks. Why attack someone with 2400 pts when u get same reward for someone with 1000 pts. Except if u lose, then u lose 20 pts. Thot the devs were trying to avoid this???
