As of a few days ago I have been unable to play the game using my account connected to my facebook. The game stops loading and gets stuck at roughly 90% complete. If I uninstall and reinstall the game works fine until I try to restore progress then it slows down to the point where its unplayable. Anyone have any sugestions on how to beat this? Also this is on android.

No way to self fix this unfortunately. You will need to contact support to get your account fixed

I did another uninstall and cleared the catch. When I reinstalled and reaccessed my account, I endured a battle that took 30 minutes to completion then reopened the game and now everything works perfectly.
