What to do with all those useless fragments?

I only got 400 pristress fragments of the last dark ritual event. Should I stay on these fragments, hoping that they come back again?

The fragments probably won't come back.. and the only way to get the priestess (sentinel) is via rare/sentinel souls.

I did this with the Magus Valkyrie... had a lot of fragments that were no good... eventually converted them.. Then later picked up the Valkyrie from a Rare Magus soul.
