Haven't tried it yet. Is it difficult?
Not difficult but time wasting as we need to wait for Boss to harakiri after 3 turns.
My CR has a debuff with his special and it doesn't even shorten it.

I rotate between the red bat, hellhound, samurai, soldier, purple harpy, and Carriage Rider. Looking for active troopers with Eddie champion, or max talisman ally.
Anyone try the blue bat yet?
I feel like it's not a big deal like you said cause he doesn't do much damage and doesn't stop me healing, but it's a nuisance for sure.

yea first time i have ever seen the ghost effect so on my first run through of battle 1 i though WTF ROFL, i thought it got bugged out or something but then i noticed the ghost icon for 3 turns and went ahhhhhh lol. a healer and waiting him out seems to work.

Perhaps enemies that reduce the duration of positive effects would work?
Blue Angel does not seem to do the trick. I guess it's just patience.
