Permadeath debuff doesn't work

Assassin Child of the Damned has a 50% chance to apply "permadeath" to enemies with its basic attack. "Permadeath prevents the target from being revived if they die." This is great now that we have children of light that can auto-revive. Except it does not work. If your CotD hits the mob, applies the debuff, and kills it in the same attack the mob will revive just like normal. I don't think this is working as intended.
