NewBorn Of Light (Magus)

So my brother just downloaded the update and opened his first ecer rare soul, he got a magus newborn of light, sadly cant uplod images cuz too much work, but i can post the skill set

Basic: Leading light
Deals magic damage to a single target
50% chance to lower MR for 2 turns

Ability: Glance, cost 4 energy
Grants magic reflect shield for 2 turns
Grants magic charge charge for 2 turns

He has full blue taisman slots, so 3 normal 3 blue.

He drops as a 3*, but from what ive seen in the loading screens theres a 4* version of himself.
I dont think the magus one will replace gods like the blue allied soldier or something lime that, maybe the other version of this guy can be pretty good, from what we can gather, since the lord of light dung has a newborn of light which changes classes every day then i would assume he would be available as any class.

What i wanted him to have was a cool ability like: change the class of this ally to any other class. NOW THAT wouldve been cool

My brother is literally keeps asking me every 3 minutes if he should lvl him, i keep replying with lets see what the pros think.

He's like the Wickerdog Queen and Allied Magus Soldier wrapped into one, but no AOE though :/

And which is better? This guy or a corrupted owl cultist? Brother wants to replace the cultist

I would imagine this guy would be a bit tankier than the owl cultist with his reflect shield, but hard to say. I'd have to compare the stats. He should just give it a try and see which he likes best

Just pulled him from a rare soul, i suppose he would be pretty useful next to carriage with his magic charge ability

So I pulled this guy with this week's trooper points and was wondering should I level him up or not. My main team is Soldier/Holy Smoke Eddie, Magus Allied Soldier and Nomad. I use only one magus character so I suppose this guy will help me in the warrior time rift. Any thoughts?
