The best way seems to be to ignore the option 1 altogether and use the currency to buy Vengeance Souls from the store. This gives you a chance to get the Angel from a random drop (about a 64% chance of getting the Angel by opening 50 souls) and collect the fragments which guarantees the Angel after 50 souls. This will cost 8.8k Viking currency (as you get 6 souls by completing one run of each of the first 3 difficulties) to buy the souls which is a lot cheaper than getting the Angel direct from the store and gives you a chance of an early drop.
Typically for these events, it will cost around 2.2k-2.5k ironite to grind through Insanity or Madness to get the currency for all the souls and guarantee the Angel

This is the best guide to farm Warrior Angel, and this dungeon is pretty easy to beat, not like other (ejem Arcade Dungeon)

Someone commented in the Facebook group that this happens because the server is badly coded and consumes a lot of resources to function, which makes the maintenance value high. However, to fix it would be even more expensive, so is better to leave it the way it is, with the game unplayable for a few days, and more stable on others to keep players active.

Also, is worth mentioning that the game had these problems since the launch. This may only have become more common recently probably because of all the new content that the game has received, which weighs the server even more.

And as long as people buy packs, characters and talismans from the store with real money, this business model will remain viable for the frogs.

Hello, someone got the same issue? I cant do the normal assasin challenge cuz normal is locked with story charakters

Don't worry about the Normal stage continuing to use the pre-set characters, the Assassin-only challenge still counts as long as you are using an Assassin ally.

Hi there!

Some players have already noted this but just to clarify, Viking Eddie, Freya and The Berserker are permanent companions in the Normal difficulty setting of Viking Invasion. This is a design choice to showcase these awesome Norse characters and their powers!

In order to complete the 'Assassin' challenge, all you have to do is place 1 Assassin character into the free slot available to you on Normal difficulty and survive the battle!

We realize the challenge wording in-game is inaccurate - instead of 'using only Assassin characters' what it should state is "Clear Viking Invasion (Normal) 8 times by placing Assassins in any available slot". This challenge is only looking at the characters that are player selected, and is designed to ignore the class of permanently set companions (Viking Eddie, Freya and the Berserker).

I think the problem most of the players was that they set an assassin ally, but played on auto-replay, the troopers champ wasn't an assassin and so it didn't count. The best thing to do is to deactivate auto-replay, so you can be sure that it counts.

I beat it easily with this team:

Max Awk Cyborg Eddie - Asgard Talisman
Gabriel Angel - Trooper and Warlord Talisman
Evil Moonchild - Cosmic Moonchild and Reaper Talisman
The Prisioner - Limbo Talisman

If you want to beat it on Insanity i use the same team, but took me more minutes to do it.

During the last wave with Fenrir (Insanity), I highly recommend using a character that gives you Perfect Heal Shield, Invincibility or Perfect Titan Shield, for the annoying Starfire talisman.
