Does Auto replay only works for troopers?
Do we need a empty slot for that? let's say if they have an ally as Champ, do we need to have an ally slot empty or will it switch for us?
if so, everyone #ShareAnEddie
Auto-replay may be nothing short of a Godsend. Can't test it until the maintenance is over.. but damn. it looks like a HUGE relief overall.

You can have Auto-Replay not use Troopers if you'd like (and it'll default to not use troopers if you've used all your troopers that day).
Do we need a empty slot for that? let's say if they have an ally as Champ, do we need to have an ally slot empty or will it switch for us?
You will need an empty slot of the right kind, just like a normal battle where you want to use a Trooper.
If you have a mix of ally and Eddie Troopers, it'll keep replaying until all of that kind of Trooper is used (or you run out of Sands of Time). You can then adjust your team before turning Auto-Replay back on to use the other kind of Trooper.

I figured it would do something like that, it would really be no different than how I run troopers normally being Eddie first. Still, fantastic news nevertheless.
Nooooo another Vampire Eddie nerf lmao. Well not really. The golden effect aspect of 100% Critical Strike is pretty awesome.
Is there a mechanism to turn it off mid-stream, Sapartan?
Like I burn through 60 SOT but want to stop auto-replay leaving a small amount of SOT. (for SQ and such)
(The My Team updates look fabulous as well, at least without actually seeing them yet :))

I just tried it and it is awesome!! The autoplay is faster and it doesn't even take you to the main screen, it replays automatically.

So far the auto play is working great for me. Switched my champion to visions for the duration of the event so maybe he won't interfere with the all sentinel missions.

Switched mine to the Witch Doctor to assist with the Sentinel missions as well.

You can tap the Auto-Replay button that's visible in battle to turn it off early, and you can also tap on the final state of the end-of-battle screen when it's counting down to start another battle to end it as well.
Cool. It's up now.. so I can fiddle with it.
FYI.. adding the explanation of the Eddie Shift was a great idea. I think I played for 3 or 4 days before I even realized you could do that.
.. And it does appear that jsut the Auto-Play at 3x has been sped up a bit... great!

I just used "Auto-Replay" for the one Trooper I had left and still had to sit thru the entire battle. Did I miss something? If not, how is it supposed to be quicker?

I have nothing new to say from what everyone else is saying... just completely agree that auto-replay is fantastic.
Oh an.. the MyTeam screen is WAY better. Talisman switching is light years faster... and the visual indicators are great! Nice work!
Love the auto-replay.
PvP seems a tad faster and smoother...

PoM is great thus far..... :) Give it a few days and he's going to replace all the Visions Eddies in PvP.. high base HP..and Sentinel class... so... yeah...

How the hell is auto replay supposed to save the TIME it takes to do the daily troopers?
I have been waiting for this feature for a long time and couldn't be more disappointed. This feature is supposed to get you the reward INSTANTLY instead of having to go through the ENTIRE battle...
In the state of nation post, it clearly say that there will be features that would save time to grind daily troopers. That's the feature that you were referring to?

I really agree with what everyone is saying. Now I can multitask and I don't have to press a button every 30 seconds. The new smoothness is oh so lovely. I spent a good minute just shifting through Eddies for the hell of it because it felt so smooth. As for PoM Eddie, he'll be an interesting character to figure out a counter for. I'm thinking that marks and burns are gonna become real important now for the mountain of health he can have ;) Also, the Assassin Corrupt Rescuer should be a good toon to have now due to their basic.

How the hell is auto replay supposed to save the TIME it takes to do the daily troopers?
I don't know about you, but I can set it then walk away... I don't need to tap anything more, freeing up my time to do other things.

A normal dev would make this feature give you the reward instantly
Yeah, plus it's even sped up more so that the levels finish faster. That in addition to not having to tap the buttons takes away like 95% of the issue.
I can finish Crucible of Pain in 15 seconds now. Meaning all my troopers can be played out in just over 10 minutes, If you don't like that then maybe it's a you thing.

How does that save you time exactly? You're still ruining your phone for almost the same duration as before

So basically it saves pressing 3 buttons? Save 95% of the issue? Please tell me where do you get the number from, pressing 3 buttons is like 5 seconds, every replay takes at least 40 sec... best case scenario it save you 11% of the time
uhm.. my device doing something I don't have to babysit.. saves me time.
If your concern is battery life.. well, that's a different issue.

Pressing 3 buttons every 1 minutes is not really considered babysiting.
Not just the battery, my concern is I don't want to keep my device running while I'm at work.
If this feature let you finish the battle instantly, you can use up your sands of time in like a minute and then get on with your day... that's how you save time

I get what you wanted out of it, but I'm not sure how they would be able to implement this. Do you play another game that does what you are asking for? I really am asking out of curiosity, cause I'd like to see it and maybe we can bring it up in the suggestions thread.

It seemed as though the feature was really going to save time from the grind. 1 tap, to rewards screen, battles done in 2 seconds. No it's "tapless" set it and walk away.. it'll run until your SOT are gone (or all Troopers have been used). You don't need to tap ANYTHING unless you want to stop it.

Thankfully it doesn't auto-spend your Ironite for sands refills. :)

Yeah, I get that. I'm typing this from my phone before I get auto logged out... I understand, 1 tap at the beginning until SOT is done or Troopers are done. I get it. The problem is still having to sit thru the battle. It takes me about 2.5 hrs to run out SOT after reset running Troopers. This will possibly save what 15-30 minutes? Yes, time saved but not what I was expecting...

Why wouldn't anyone play the game anymore? people will have time to do the "precious" arena then , which is what NF wants

It wouldn't be on every level. It would only unlock on levels that you finished on your own, without using troopers or ironite.
It would be a button instead of the stupid auto-replay when you press it you will get the reward, you press ok then you go back to selection screen. It's pretty simple. Most mobile RPG games does that: sweep feature in Castle Clash, instant feature in Dungeon Hunter ... to name a few.

How about you set up autoplay while you go to bed?
That will actually "not save you time" but you won't be wasting your time pressing play again, and it is something it can be done while you're sleeping!

That's still a 4SOT level... 30 minutes.. not even close to 2.5hrs.
Like I posted roughly 1:30 to finish a level with powerful toons that always win without issue.
I clear both Powerslave and Circle of Fire (Underworld madness) in a little over 1 minute with full power toons.

I've been auto-playing Powerslave (Madness) and I've blown through my SOT in about 30 minutes.
As for time saved, I totally get what you're saying with respect to whether or not you're saving any time if all your doing is actually playing the game. If you're sitting down to play the game and not do anything else, then yeah, I guess you're saving about a half an hour of time grinding. However, if you're at work or watching a movie or mowing the lawn or whatever, you can do your daily Trooper grind in the background with no effort (apart from restarting the game when it crashes).

Yes it takes more than that sometimes for some people. I use trooper grind to level up characters and not everyone have maxed out characters especially new players.

Fully-sharded Tailgunner Eddie blows through Powerslave single-handedly, even before Relics.
I think some people will complain no matter what. I want to say this is one of the best updates ever. Everything I have done so far is so much cleaner and faster, plus love the auto play feature as the old commercial goes just set it and forget it.

Right. No it's not no matter what. I have been positive in this game for a while but the auto-replay flipped me. I'm complaining because NF lied in the state of nation post about saving time in troopers grind and now they are ignoring my comment... That's a pretty good damn reason

Okay. I get ya. I personally love the auto-replay. I like not having to watch my phone while it grinds away.
What you suggest also isn't a bad idea, per se. Something to throw at the devs in the suggestions thread. Until then, I will enjoy this update. I think it was a great move in the right direction. Now...if only we can add an auto-new content button...

That was my next statement. The time differs for every player depending on the team and if the player is tryingto level up characters.

Maybe because this isn't a lie and it does save time because the 3x speed is faster and you don't have to babysit the game, which is the biggest reason why I stopped playing the game. Now I can watch a show, play a game somewhere else or just do chores without having to hang around to press a button a bunch of times. Just because it's not exactly what YOU wanted doesn't mean that it's their fault. The comments are overwhelmingly positive which hasn't been like that in a really long time.
My team can finish Powerslave in 35~ seconds each so there's no issue with me

Gotta defend Yup here. He's not complaining. Also, lets keep it civil. There will always be something 'wrong' with anything. If Rain88 or anyone else has an idea to improve on auto-replay, lets here it. Until then, I think it's a great feature!

i didn't test all things but yes i like the "much cleaner and faster, plus love the auto play feature" too :)
for now it seems to be the best update for game improvements

The reason we went with this feature is that, as our game and our live events have evolved, we've felt that doing battles in various places (and in some cases with specific requirements, like the Beckoning Nightmares (http://forum.ironmaidenlegacy.com/showthread.php?10002) event that is currently running) is one of the main kinds of activities in the game. However, because a some of these events are tailored with the amount of time it takes to complete battles, we didn't want to add in something that completed battles instantly. Completing battles instantly discourages the value of creating teams that can complete battles quicker, which we think is a healthy goal for players to strive towards (which is why we've added things like clear timers and Relics).
In addition, doing this means that you're only best able to use Auto-Replay in levels you definitely have a strong handle clearing. This again creates value in people finding the right kinds of teams to quickly and consistent clear harder Lord of Light and Brave New World levels, and lets you use Auto-Replay in those features to better tailor your grinding based on the rewards you're looking to achieve.

If you have an inventory full, it'll end Auto-Replay and tell you that you need to resolve that before continuing. This does mean you'll probably want a healthy amount of free talisman inventory space before using Auto-Replay for a long session (unless you're using it in the Lord of Light).

Well it barely improve it and barely does anything about time (save like 15 minutes out of 2-3 hours daily grind)
None of this is a good reason to prevent an instant feature. This feature can be easily turned off when events that evolves TIME are there and can be limited to specific places if you're worried about the experience and "the value of creating teams" and clearing levels you're not supposed to.
So basically NF insists that nothing else will be done about troopers grind?

Definitely agreed. For the current event, this is the team I used to get through my SOT in about 30min:
Viking Eddie - 3xAssassin, 2xWarp, 1xrando green
Green Harpy - 2xShell, 2xResistance, 2xBoost
SSD - 6xHealth
All fully-sharded.

I'm good with this explanation although it should have been included in the update notes somehow, someway. The change will save a minimal amount of time which is what was asked for...

Auto play freaking rules! I don’t get the complaining. I’m running Powerslave with a Maxed Visions and 2 other 4* Lv 1 Sentinels to level them up, and having no issues. Many toons can run this level as a loner.
As was stated, run Powerslave when you go to sleep. Wake up and 30 troopers are done. Run again when you wake up while
Getting ready for work or whatever and your done with Troopers.
Go mow the lawn, watch a movie, hook up with the Mrs. :p , even on the drive in to work troopers getting covered without you having to do a thing.

Turning off the feature for events is a non-starter. We're not going to make the game less convenient when events are running; that doesn't make any sense.
As I already noted, limiting it for places is not ideal either, because we want players to have this improvement when grinding elsewhere in the Cosmos or Time Rift. The overall value above and beyond just using Troopers is too great to want to limit changes to just using Troopers.

There are no further plans that we are working on right now at least. However, we have built the Auto-Replay feature to allow for incremental improvements and enhancements for how it works, so we are taking note of concerns from yourself and others to see if it makes sense to pivot development resources to further improving the feature, or keeping those team members on other upcoming features.
That said, we've added this feature as a quality of life improvement for using Troopers, and the reaction is largely positive. We'll certainly keep an eye on the situation and review metrics for trooper usage and will no doubt find other ways of improving that aspect of the game, but we'll know what is the best course of action on that subject when we've had more time to gather data and feedback.

There are no further plans that we are working on right now at least. However, we have built the Auto-Replay feature to allow for incremental improvements and enhancements for how it works, so we are taking note of concerns from yourself and others to see if it makes sense to pivot development resources to further improving the feature, or keeping those team members on other upcoming features.
That said, we've added this feature as a quality of life improvement for using Troopers, and the reaction is largely positive. Sounds good to me! Love this update. My wife got annoyed with how much I played this game. I stopped playing at home, largely, and felt concerned about not using my toopers. It would sometimes take me a full 24 hrs to use them all, time permitting. But now I can run all my troopers without having to glance at my phone more than once or twice (depending on max inventory on tails). Thanks again for this!
Is PoM Eddie's Complex ability SUPPOSED to drain all his HP??? It is here. There's no mention if that aspect anywhere.

I'm good with the auto play feature as-is, however it would be nice to have a way to set it to autosell talismans. That said, I'd prefer the focus remain on new and long overdue content for now.
I can now autoplay troopers while driving to and from work as well as set it on my tablet while at home and do other thingsso definitely a win for me.

I’m glad you guys finally addressed the trooper usage issue. From the little I’ve tested it, auto replay seems good. I’m wondering how it will do with all the crashes I’ve been having lately. I haven’t used it enough to have any problems yet. If it actually works, I might have to build up my trooper list again. Time will tell.

As I already noted, limiting it for places is not ideal either, because we want players to have this improvement when grinding elsewhere in the Cosmos or Time Rift. The overall value above and beyond just using Troopers is too great to want to limit changes to just using Troopers.

There were tons of feedback, forum topics and suggestions about the TIME it takes to finish troopers I'm not really sure if there is a need for more. If instant feature seems to be a bad idea for whatever reason (which i couldn't undetstand why as it doesn't affect the ironite in anyway from a business point of view), there were heaps of other suggestions including:
Sending badge using one click on the trooper page
Using more than one trooper at a time
Having a prenium/vip model to speed it up

But all these suggestions were ignored and Auto replay was created instead. Why?

I'm at the hospital ATM, so I can't read carefully and try some stuff about the running.
Auto replay is a God send. I guess people understimate how good true AFK farming is.
So far the only thing I am salty about is the fact I'm just 5 shards away of sharing VHE and that new change to his special hurts, makes me feel like a waste of shards. With AoP and decrease buff effects fixed for golden buffs makes me wonder if this was a little too much, even tho knowing that 1 turn will only be good when he uses the fury, VHE will never use the buff he applies to himself. Since it will be gone in the next turn no matter what.
Other then that, awesome update.

It seems to me the odds of my getting the new character are a bit better if I convert souls within the first few hours of the event.
This isn't always true.. I NEVER got the Alchemist during that event.. had to fill the vortex to get him. And I kept getting duplicates for Liliths. So, I'm still missing two of those.
Oh and I forgot to get any Dog souls.. didn't fall for that one :)

Sorry, I've been home sick today and yesterday, so I haven't been as on top of the forums as I'd like for a new release.
The team has reproduced this problem after looking into it, but it doesn't seem to always happen, so we're not sure why it's doing this. Other than the fact that I think they're continuing to investigate the issue, I don't have much else to report on that right now, sadly.

guys the autoplay is just awesome, just one suggestion, although not sure if that's doable...one maclo 12 will screw the autoplay completly, would it be possible that the game remembers the autoplay after a crash, so that it can automaticly continue the grind despite a maclo?

I thought it may be related to Chance talismans on the character... but nope.. swapped them for Angel.. same thing..
........appears to only happen when he's at full health and uses Complex. This is confirmed here. I can implement it without fail by using Complex when he's at full health. His HP isn't drained if theres even a sliver missing before hitting Complex.
Quite honestly, this update has been the best update I've seen since I started playing. Lots of great things. This "bug" is minor, I'm satiated by knowing it is a bug, not as intended.

Yeah have the issue of leaving the phone run for 15min...
Witch I answered with an app that shut the screen & let app runing behind, just put an alarm on vibration for 15 min (to not forget it) & it's done, quick & discrete :)
It makes ALL the difference :)

It does suck passengers screw up the event. Troopers should be setting their champ to a Sentenial Eddie right now.

Right... As I said before , this feature doesn't have to be everywhere (it could be limited to cosmos per say). Check for example Castle Clash or Dungeon Hunter and you would see what I mean... They limit the instant play feature to certain aspects of the game. Regardless, my point was not mainly about this feature... my whole point is still that NOTHING was done to significantly decrease the TIME it takes to grind trooper although it was clear in the infamous "state of nation".
So basically you consider grinding all day, to get some troopers badges actually "playing"? You would rather auto-play all day because "there is not much left to do here aside the grind"?

I have to say, I was skeptical of the auto replay, but I'm liking it so far. As has already been mentioned, it would be nice if we could set it to auto sell talismans, but it isn't a big issue. Only strange thing I've noticed so far is that if you let it go for a long time, the game will start doing an odd screen fade during power and fury moves.
Overall the game seems to be running faster though. Big props there.

Easy to solve this... Powerslave only drops spam talis anyway! ;) Sell everything that's new.
Not a bad little update, all in all. :cool: Purple Rescuer is pretty cool now. I do think that changing the turns of crits from 3 to 1 on VH was too much though, regardless of their goldeness. 2 turns would have been fair.
Instant play--let's say even on severely limited levels, like Easy AK--would still be nice in the future... but the autoplay is a step in the right direction, anyway.
Wish you'd fix the bug on poor Aces though... (Do or Die not inflicting Permadeth when it kills a char with Immortality) It really hurts his value in PVP (though I still use him a lot, sucker that I am. lol)

A nice talley of all rewards recieved after an "auto-replay" session would be nice. Maybe even a way to sell from that screen... oops have I gone too far...

7th Son does the same thing with it's Exorcize ability (Permadeath strike).. so it seems killing a toon that has Immortality with a permadeth strike.. doesn't inflict permadeth anywhere... they all resurrect.

From what I noticed you have to inflict permadeath without inflicting lethal damage in order for it to proc. Otherwise immortality's revive procs before permadeath take effect. That's with every toon that I've tried that has that ability.

it's not about what i consider playing or not, it's about what the devs consider playing, and they clearly have no reason to let us play only 5 muntes every day, this should be somewhat obvious i think. and if you look at the game at all, if you don't consider grinding powerslave all day as playing, than you won't have fun with the game at all, that's sad but true, it is what it is.
but it has been done a lot about decreasing the "aware" playing time. not to tap 3 buttons every minute is a bless, even it doesn't decrease the time the game is running in the background. we praise it, because the game ich much more real life compatible now. that was the main concern for many guys...right now i can focus on typing and i'm not distracted by taping buttons, man i love this :D

But there are situations when Astra (for example) kills a target with her powermove, and the target can't be revived. I thought then that the permadeath effect is applied before the damage is done, not after, but when I try to inflict it with SSE, the target always revives... strange.
Anyway, many, many thanks for the Auto-play feature, it is a really good one, this morning 2/3 of my SoT where consumed and I could drink peacefully my coffee, without staring at the screen and tapping it for hundred times; and now I can type these without stopping and clicking buttons. Great!!! :cool:

Not sure about the difference between Astra and SSE (unfortunately, I have neither), but what's for sure is that Immortality kicks in before Permadeath, and Permadeath is cleared before the actual revive.
I don't think this is how it's supposed to work, but the order in which buffs and debuffs are applied seems a bit unplanned in general, not only with Permadeath.

Oh yes the my Team Screen looks awesome, i love the arts in this game. And it gets better and better. The burning eyes if you have all Talis lvl 50 is really nice and the change between characters! <3

And damn.. tested the autofarm feature... it.. is.. awesome... especially for these kind of events and farming resources... i LOVE it!
But some things are a bit strange. In Arena it gets a bit darker at some attacks, it is a bit strange for my eyes. :D
And the news screen, like some time ago i told is german if the game is english.. but i think this wasn't on the list this update.
And the new Eddie looks AWESOME. And he is Sentinel. Yeah i like sentinel characters. And some cool character changes.. especially for the Sentinel Corrupt Rescuer (and the assassin looks good too) i like it very much.
All in all a really nice update so far i tested it. :)

One little detail i’ve noticed: Iron Eddie is promoted as a 5* on the loading screen (at least that’s what i thought i have seen the last time it appeared....since i don’t have to stare at the loading screens anymore).

Overall, A+ improvements with this update! Faster, smoother, great commercial move.
All the skill changes lately seems interesting and sure have stirred things up a bit.
Symbiote mentioned darkening of screen on hit. I see that too on iPad and it is hard on eyes, so consider leaving that effect out.

I like the new visuals and actually like the screen darkening thing if it is the same thing you guys are seeing - it seems to be an effect for when i big hit has occured by the look sof it - almost like a dark cloud over the battle field - I like it - bit more dramatic. Along with the other visual changes it is a good change for me.
PoM Ed does seem to have a broken move which I am sure wil be quick to fix bit not got him yet like many others.
Love the new auto feature too - works great so far and I see this as a major step in the right direction for the game.

The MyTeam screen is absolutely fantastic with the update. Now all it needs is some mechanism to try and alleviate the swipe left, swipe left, swipe left, swipe left, swipe left, swipe left, swipe left, swipe left, swipe left, swipe left, swipe left, swipe left, swipe left, swipe left, swipe left, swipe left, swipe left, swipe left, swipe left.. oh THERE are the gunner talismans :)

Hm, it looks like there's something our artists added into the game to add additional flair to certain combat actions which may be a bit disruptive depending on factors we may have not considered.
For any of you guys having problem with these new effects:
Do you guys play with low or high brightness?
Is there a particular time period the environment is in where you are noticing this being problematic (ie environment colour changes based on Eddies using past, present, or future skills)?
What device are you guys playing on?

Yeah, we were having some discussions last week about what quality of life issues we should look into next, and improvements for navigating/filtering in the My Team screen was one of those potential areas. I'm not sure if work for that will make it into the next major update, but it's definitely something we're investigating solutions for.

Another suggestion would be a better way to streamline selecting characters in the arena. When I only want to keep switching one character out and I have a roster of 300 it takes awhile to scroll through all of them.
Hoping in long term could add a feature where we could designate which characters show up on our character screen in the arena.

One thing I noticed was, when I get this error message after a win, if I tap 'okay' I don't receive the iron coins. HOWEVER, if I tap the 'x' on the top right, the error seems to correct itself and it goes right to the victory screen where I get the iron coins.
Try that next time and see if it works.

Same here on Android, look like a new visual effect more than a glitch to me, was surprised at first but it kinda add to the dynamics of fights in my opinion..

That's exactly what happened to me, last fight to clear the list... and boom!

I thought it was intentional. Seems to triggered by hits/Eddie's dying to be random. I actually like it. Not t mention it may be better for screen life since all those background pixels don't sit at 100% luminosity all the time.

I laughed my ass off on this one. I have a screen protector on my phone and it's all scratched on the bottom from left, left, left... swiping.
Yeah, we were having some discussions last week about what quality of life issues we should look into next, and improvements for navigating/filtering in the My Team screen was one of those potential areas. I'm not sure if work for that will make it into the next major update, but it's definitely something we're investigating solutions for.
Fan-freakin-tastic. With these new updates to the MyTeam screen, that really is the ONLY pain point I see right now.
I was thinking colored buttons next to the count/max tab on the right maybe, just more (clickable) tabs... red/green/blue/yellow/purple to show only those class talismans. Could also work for characters... to show only that class of character. I'm sure you all will come up with something great though.
A suggestion, not really a "problem" would be to also indicate talismans on a character that are ready for evolution but you don't have the resources to evolve them yet.... like a level 40, 4 star talisman but you only have 3-3star evo runes and need 9. Like perhaps the evolve icon in greyscale or with "Don't" symbol on it.. something like that. Honestly though.. tapping talismans to see where they are at is, like, light years faster now and there's no more of that 4 minute wait when you change things and leave the MyTeam screen.
Another minor suggestion... selling talismans... (which is secondary really). A way to sell a talisman from the MyTeam screen would be great.. a little gold coin on the description popup... something rather than using the "sell" screen, which can be difficult to determine what is needed and what is waste.

Which ever is easier for them to implement, I think like how sacrifice is, any character not locked appears up front so thought might be easier to create designation for arena to move them to the front there as well
One thing I noticed was, when I get this error message after a win, if I tap 'okay' I don't receive the iron coins. HOWEVER, if I tap the 'x' on the top right, the error seems to correct itself and it goes right to the victory screen where I get the iron coins.
Try that next time and see if it works.

What if they had the option to be in rows of 2 instead of 1? You'd get there twice as fast.
Or the second row could be just a VIP/frequently used characters, selected by you.
I laughed my ass off on this one. I have a screen protector on my phone and it's all scratched on the bottom from left, left, left... swiping.
...and a spot on the top right from the X in my team to make the power up red numbers go away! :D

while we all got distracted for a while with this quality improvement we shouldn't forget that this game is a desert for 8 months right now. sorry, but you know this is true...relics are no content, just another reason to grind same things over and over again....
before any other changes (aside bugfixes) i would love to see new content. i'm very sure devs and you guys want that too. all we get is characters and talismans along with metashifts...i'm sure you do your best and it's a resource management problem (maybe too few programers) but: is there any realistic chance, that we can expect any kind of new playable content anytime soon? lets say in the next few weeks?
would be cool if we could get a somewhat honest answer to that, i think the playerbase deserved some more clear infos on that topic...this game would be just awesome, if we could get new game modes or levels faster, but unfortunatly we don't see anything new...are there plans to increase the speed of new additions or do we have to simply accept that this game cannot evolve much quicker because of the limited budget/resources etc...

Auto replay passed the test this morning. I was able to run it on my drive to work with no crashes. A+ for that.
Another QoL improvement that I’d imagine would be pretty easy - a toggle switch for testing pvp defense. Why it wasn’t an option from the start confuses me.
I’m with Slauki though, new content is desperately needed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’ll be a year since BNW was released soon...I’ll just stop there. Need new content. I’d like to build my trooper list back up, but I’m hesitant as we continue to wait.

Hm, it looks like there's something our artists added into the game to add additional flair to certain combat actions which may be a bit disruptive depending on factors we may have not considered.
For any of you guys having problem with these new effects:
Do you guys play with low or high brightness?
Is there a particular time period the environment is in where you are noticing this being problematic (ie environment colour changes based on Eddies using past, present, or future skills)?
What device are you guys playing on?
I hardly notice it outside of Kingdom of the Sands, since that is the brightest area. I use adaptive brightness with the bar set to the center on a Motorola XT1575, Android 7.0.
Also, this Sentinel only event has brought to attention just how few good non-Eddie sentinels there are in this game. I've been running the FotD Eddie with the green general and the green bomber boy, which is doing ok. I wanted to replace the green bomber boy with something that could benefit from the general's passive buff, but I couldn't find anything. The green soulless demon is ok if skill sharded, but poor without. The green pyro is totally useless. The theme behind Sentinel characters all having high health and extremely low damage output is seriously flawed.

I stopped the auto-replay during a run on AMOLAD and was able to continue at the same amped up speed. I stopped shortly after and resumed on auto so I don't really know for sure how long you can carry on like that.

Those might be good for pvp, but they are all horrible for farming. The green pyro is a 4 star character right? Then why does it hit like a 2 star character at 5 stars? My point is that sentinels hit like wet paper bags outside of the general, the bomber boy, and the Eddies. The game is set up lopsided in favor of the Red, yellow, and purple characters. The basic theory of balance is flawed.

I've always been a big fan of the green Harpy. Now, I know on auto play it gives away turns; but I'm running two and Pharaoh Eddie on Powerslave for this event and they are clearing it out in about a minute.

IMO, all of the three Pyro's deserve a buff, since they've remained behind other units and they are treated as a Legendary. I've sharded the red & purple, but they didn't rise to my expectations, thus they're still benched, despite the fact that they have a lot of potential.

Another suggestion would be a better way to streamline selecting characters in the arena. When I only want to keep switching one character out and I have a roster of 300 it takes awhile to scroll through all of them.
Hoping in long term could add a feature where we could designate which characters show up on our character screen in the arena.

I've been using the S Corrupt Rescuer for the last 3 days for farming.. she does just fine. In fact, she's great if you throw Strike talismans on her. Disclosure, mine is fully sharded.

Ain't that was the point? Sentinel characters are there as tank, not as glass canon, every classes have their pro & cons... Next we'll need asassins with 40k+ hp & good def or what lol
It's a blessing that autoplay was introduced before that event, hence enabling us to farm full sentinel team without harm :)
I'd quote Sparton but I'm too lasy to search that far, when Green Droid was doing indecent damages he was nerfed pretexting no sentinel should do that much damages...(Sure 16k was a tad much lol)

Well, the short honest answer is if I knew what that timeline was for at least a beta of Gauntlet I'd almost certainly tell you.
The longer answers is that we've continued to mostly ensure that the main team on Gauntlet is dedicated to implementing that feature, to ensure progress is constant. However, like many things with game development, sometimes you reach a point of implementation and review it and go "man, something is just not turning out as well as we planned with this", and then you gotta spend time looking into what you need to do to shore up whatever that problem is to get the feature to a place you're happy with. I'm not directly involved with the Gauntlet development right now, but that's the impression I've had with the messages I've seen in our internal chat program, and with the limited internal playtesting I've done.
Basically, progress is continuing to be made, but I can't announce anything relating to a timeline yet.

Huh, last I used him I had no problems stealing at all. Perhaps there's an issue with stealing when the enemy has a combination of gold and normal positive effects...
I'll have to circle back with the team to see if that's a data issue or a code issue.

You can only revive if you die, so if you die first... you can trigger First Blood.

Low damage tanky high def/mr... Just 3 class blockers what a shame, also cleansers & healers...
Oh, they also spam negative effects more than any other classes, should be part of that bad design too ;)
I get they are by no means powerful farmers together...
But so goes for any class specific challenge, farming with Assassin class only isn't much more appealing..

Fantastic.. this is really what's holding me back from using PoM more :) I am still farming with him.. just have to ensure it's on levels/dungeons where he won't kill with the first strike... which is getting tough :)

Well about the angel of fear thing, the other day I killed someone and the enemy team got an extra turn each. Since it was my turn and not theirs it didn't make a difference but I thought I'd do well to report it. If it happens again I'll try to tag a screenshot of the scene.

Did I miss something? Maybe everybody will start to laugh, because I didn’t read all memos about the recent changes, but something strange just happened. In a PvP fight the health bar (is it called like this? the one on top of every character) changed. Usually it is green. When you take damage the green part becomes smaller, when you heal it becomes bigger. Now a part of the green bar at the right side was replaced by a grey bar. This grey bar was not part of the health, but limiting the max health. Each round the grey bar got bigger and even if I healed my team I could only use a decreasing part of my health. What is it? Have I become a beta tester?

You are just fighting against characters using the "Reduce Max HP" effect. This is a new combat effect that certain characters, such as the Assassin Corrupt Rescuer, can now use.

15% per turn is too much, in 3 turns is almost half health, don't like that new effect.

Hh. Only one crash since I've started the auto play. That's nice. Though it's kinda weird, the daily challenges said I did an arena battle and I didn't. Heck, it said I celared all daily chalenges before the arena one.

I was messing around with the magus chopper a little more tonight, and it seems he’s only stealing one effect regardless of whether there’s a gold buff or not.

A few more tabs will help with the time consuming with all the team combinations 3 tabs are not enough I use 5 different teams so adding a few will be perfect good suggestion
I love Auto-Replay.. but for the troopers.. it should play the NPC troopers last rather than first.

Do you mean a new cleanse method? I don’t think it should be as easy as just using the normal cleanse since reduced health is a new feature and angel talismans are everywhere would defeat the purpose for now. Wait a few months and then we can super golden rainbow cleanses to negate it.

but it's an interesing debuff for sure...like the +100% health buff....just sad we cannot use POM and f'n VE at the same time for 200k health to make the fight more enjoiyable:rolleyes:

Haven't laughed this much in a while! Good one! POM Eddie removes ALL buffs & debuffs from both teams now, so I think next will be Killer Eddie who kills all other toons and sits down for a nice cup of coffee:cool:

I managed to pick up Assassin Corrupt Rescuer on a fluke Rare soul and was glad to get a new character. This was before the April skill update so I really didn't bother with it. After the update however it has been huge game changer. Nothing preventa the HP drain. Not even Vanish. HP relics mean nothing and with so many heal skills being based of MAX hp...well you know the answer. Have run into only 3 other people in the top 100 with him and was able wear them down to nothing. though in reality it was a battle of attrition and they didn't have a reviver. It does not go beyond a certain percentage loss though. In theory it should eventually take max down to 0 but it takes 10% of current max so the decrease is smaller and smaller every hit. I won't say any names but I was able to go toe to toe with one of the top 5 players and outlast him. Both of us using Corrupter. If someone is lucky enough to wield 2 of these I can't see any defense standing a chance. I suspect the meta will be changing soon as more of these show up and when the exhaust Talis hit it will really make 80% Health relics irrelevant. Except you JJJ...I will have some nightmares about that Lillith for a while.
I think Sick mentioned something about the permadeath and Immortality issues. Corrupt Generals' Fury - Combust -Deals additional damage based on the number of beneficial effects on the target and consumes those effects. I have done this on multiple enemy allies but only with SSE does it truly kill him and not allow him to revive from Immortality buff. Every other time I try it on an Eddie or enemy ally they always revive after the death from Combust. SSE always stays permadead. I have always thought that stripping of buffs should occur before they activate if the damage done is lethal.
Autoplay is a true gift. I drive for a living and now I can clear all my troopers on the road instead of having to wait till I get home and do a mad rush of button pushing to clear my 50 fights in the two hours I have left before refresh.

There's other strategies to working around Max HP Down, some of which have already been discussed in this thread.
Not every strategy's counter is related to the presence (or lack thereof) of a status effect. It's like the classic rock-paper-scissors of aggro-stall-control; sometimes, you need to look at entirely different team strategies, not just using different game effects within the same team strategy.
the ultimate counter.... put the device down.. just walk away :)

Not every strategy's counter is related to the presence (or lack thereof) of a status effect. It's like the classic rock-paper-scissors of aggro-stall-control; sometimes, you need to look at entirely different team strategies, not just using different game effects within the same team strategy.

Thus far.. when I've come across the A Corrupt Rescuer in the arena.. she's dead in 1, maybe 2, hits. That may just be the one's I've seen. She's not the "healthiest" of characters.
I do think.. if she dies, the HP reduction block should disappear, worst case, after 1 turn. But it's not a buff.. which just seems like a whole new ability strain. It will need a counter at some point.
At least she cannot be equipped with Echo Talis. If you manage to get Echo on her any other way, it might get nasty.

Regardless, and at the very least this should be noted in her in game skills descriptions.

Let’s just say, that we are getting over fed by those dangling carrots. chasing 3 event souls, having to fight 100s of boring battles (at least “auto repeat battles” now) and still somehow knowing that we will be let down once AGAIN staring at those blue eyes. HELL! i’ve opened 150+ event souls and didn’t get the Krampus nor the Edward.... do i expect much from those 3 souls? ofc not! i’ve just stopped investing 100s of $$$ into the game and keep thinking to myself: i don’t really need that toon...

Loving auto-play. So much easier to grind through stuff not having to mind my device.
Suggestions to improve Autoplay:
On the ending screen (the 'Tap to end Autoplay" countdown) you currently only show how many SoT you have (x/y).
Pls consider adding to that screen:
- SoT cost per turn (x) - Good if you forgot!
- Gold (x)
- Ironite (x)
- Trooper points (x)
- Troopers left (x/y) - if using them
- Talismans (x/y)
This way if you notice you've hit some value of these you want, (eg: 5000 Trooper points, 625 Ironite, etc) you can abort autoplay and go act on it.
Trooper Autoplay: As it was released with an event that required a specific type of char to complete many events (Sentinel), the thing that I've found most annoying is that I can't limit the Trooper Autoplay to just using specific classes of Troopers (eg: Sentinel). Maybe an advanced box on the Trooper autoplay that gives you some control over the Troopers to use (either select them, or just tick-boxes for each class perhaps)?
Visual effects: The darkening when a toon makes a hit was confusing at first but I don't mind it too much. However it can sometimes be distracting to the eyes (esp if you're tired) so maybe have some option to turn down the effects that maybe disables this and a few other effects perhaps? This sort of thing might help some people on less powerful devices as well.
Noises from Eddies: I'm noticing that when playing with in-game sound/effects off (in game settings, media on device set to a normal volume) that some Eddies still produce audio on attacks. It always seems to be the new Eddies too. I first noticed this when Iron Eddie appeared (I will not call him IE... Ewwwww), and I've now seen it happen with PoM Eddie. Seen this not just on my device but on my g/f's as well (both Android, one Samsung, one HTC).
One other bug that I seem to come across (it's been there for a long time) is when I have low amounts of SoT. The bug now happens a lot more now with Autoplay, especially due to the current event (refilling my SoT regularly).
Say you're playing something that requires 8 SoT each battle and you have 15 on hand. If the time taken is just right, by the end of that battle, you've "just" ticked over from 7 remaining SoT to 8 (through the SoT timed replenishment every 5 mins, without earning any SoT from the battle). When you proceed straight to the next battle, the server gives you the dreaded PVTE0 msg and the game crashes. To me, it seems as though the server and client don't agree on how much SoT are left and the "crash" is its way of resolving the problem. Of course, in the process, this kicks you out of the game.
I've noticed this specifically when it's 4+ mins to the next SoT replenish (when you "just" got that extra SoT).

Warlord passive seems to be working. There is still a problem with his Phantom Blade attack. A lot of the time, if his health is very low then he dies when he uses it. This happens even when there is nothing that should be reflecting damage. I've noticed it most when there is a blocker present, but that could simply be because most of the defenses tend to have a blocker (AoS, GPD, WUR).

Well that’s yet another flaw in the base mechanics of the game, which should have been addressed AT LEAST by the time arena was introduced.
Basically there should exist 2 separate terms: 1. a “round”-the time when all characters of the player whose round it is can act. this would apply to skills which should last for a whole ROUND, no matter how many actions that character takes in that given round (fe: Ghost, def up, ascension,...)
2. a “turn” -every action a character takes/uses a skill. those could be acquired by specific skills (first blood,echo,etc.)
Those would apply to skills and buffs like counter attack, trap,echo,etc.
As simple as that! but i don’t think that this developer team has the capabilities to reprogram sucha complex code without messing the game completely up with a ton of bugs...

You don't die to become a Ghost. Ghost prevents death and grants that special positive effect at the time it prevents death. Since it prevents death, no death happened, so no First Blood trigger.
It's similar to Endure, in that Endure doesn't bring you back with 1 HP when it's stopping lethal damage, it's preventing the dying from happening (which is also something that didn't work properly under the previously bugged First Blood logic, but now processes correctly in that First Blood won't trigger when bringing an Enduring character to 1 HP).
Which yes, I suppose is a bit odd considering the effect is called "Ghost", and that implies dying, but as far as our mechanics are concerned, we don't treat it as such.

This is technically working as intended, but it's something I've been discussing with Kaz and our combat programmer to see if we could change, as it is something that causes a bit of confusion.
Ghost is flagged as an Agent Action status effect. This means that it will have it's duration count down when that agent (aka character) does an action. Typically, this is reserved for offense-based status effects (Attack Up/Down, Echo, Accuracy Up/Down, etc). This contrasts with Team-Based status effects, which will count down when the appropriate team has taken it's full turn, and are typically reserved for defense-based status effects (Defense Up/Down, Vanish, Immunity, etc). While it seems a bit counter-intuitive, Ghost is flagged as Agent Action due to one or more bugs that occurred only if Ghost was flagged as Team-Based for it's duration.
However, this does cause confusion and isn't as intuitive as one would think (and also does occasionally cause other problems), which is why it's one of those things I've been wanting to see if we can investigate to change it back to Team-Based and to fix the other problems that existed with it. That said, I'm not totally certain what those other bugs were, which is why it's stayed the duration type that it has. Going down that rabbit hole and maybe seeing it's more effort than it's worth to fix usually doesn't contrast well compared to fixing things like the First Blood logic.
(This is basically what Mizrael is talking about in terms of "turns" and "rounds" (http://forum.ironmaidenlegacy.com/showthread.php?10001-April-3rd-2018-Update-Discussion&p=70496&viewfull=1#post70496), it's just that we don't communicate that distinction clearly in-game. Interesting.... I appreciate the insight. I would agree that "round" and "turn" effectively seem like the same thing from the user point of view. But I can see that there is a technical difference.

The shield reflection problem is still not solwed. just saw an opponents Ben Elf taunt his own Pharaoh Eddie with his snow shield which resulted in PE jumping sideways and slapping the life out of poor Ben...(9:15 CET+1 opponent “christian”. my team had voids shield up)
EDIT: 3 battles later opponents AoF took 3 extra turns with no buffs on and everyone standing with no scratches on them. (9:26 CET+1 opponent “KUNGEN”)...
You can echo her with SSE/CPD.thankfully no one I have seen has done that yet.
SSE, 2 ACR and a good blocker could be a really mean team.

We've confirmed the fix internally, it's just a matter of signing off on the update version to ensure it's stable before we submit to the respective app stores (and then waiting for review, and then waiting for store propagation after it passes review). Why did not you advise that a maintenance server would occur? When this started I was playing a match on BNW, continuing the farm to get an advantage talisman I've been trying to pick up a few days already, when the server crashed and a bug called "MACL15" or something like this appeared.
After a quick relog, I realized that no rewards were added to my inventory, but both my trooper and the sands of time were noted as "expenses."
Should I contact you to try to mitigate the situation? I know it sounds like a futile affair, but it's not the first time this has happened, and it's a frustrating occurrence just now.

What exactly happened was that as soon as I gave the last hit in the Dragon King, the reward chest did not fall and after some time, appeared a message that the game needed to be reinitialized. After doing this with some other error codes popping up, there was no exclamation mark that usually has on my inventory when I receive battle rewards, just the rebate in the SoT and my lost trooper. I would even contact support right now, but I do not have the correct information you said their can ask me to. Anyway, I believe that the free ironite they gave us will be useful in restoring any loss.

Just finished my 10th fight to clear the board and got the usual AP error. Did not get credit for the fight, did not get awarded my 2 SoW, did not collect IC...went straight to F’kn jail. Now the board is reset and I have 0 SoW.

The original thought was that improvements would work for other "on kill" effects, but due to the way the fix was done, it wasn't automaticallly the case. Basically, a portion of the fix required a change to the data for the problem effect, which is why it's only fully fixed for First Blood right now.
It still requires me, Kaz, and/or the combat programmer to go into and manually repair every other "on kill" effect. It's something I've been trying to make sure I set time aside for in the next major update, but our time so far has been embroiled in supporting the hot fixes we're still trying to sign off and then working on other tasks we need in by then, so I can't make any promises. The fix requires deleting and recreating a data file relating to the chain of effects of a skill/passive, which in theory should be straight forward, but if not done carefully will completely break the skill/passive in question. As such, we need to make sure we give ourselves enough time to carefully do the fix and verify it functions correctly for every problem skill/passive.

I know at least one programmer is looking into various problems being relayed by our CS team relating to the Arena, at least assuming no additional stability problems arise out of what they've worked on for the upcoming hotfix.
From what I can tell, everyone was "compressed" more than they should have at reset, and is not gaining as much VP for wins. However, since it appears to be affecting everyone, I don't think anyone has a particular advantage or disadvantage relative to anyone else competing in the Arena, and anyone who would be ending in the top 250 will certainly have enough VP for Warlord III by reset (if they're not already past that by now).

I know at least one programmer is looking into various problems being relayed by our CS team relating to the Arena, at least assuming no additional stability problems arise out of what they've worked on for the upcoming hotfix.
From what I can tell, everyone was "compressed" more than they should have at reset, and is not gaining as much VP for wins. However, since it appears to be affecting everyone, I don't think anyone has a particular advantage or disadvantage relative to anyone else competing in the Arena, and anyone who would be ending in the top 250 will certainly have enough VP for Warlord III by reset (if they're not already past that by now).
i don't think this is entirely true since some guys i know got their points back for some reason (+400 points after one fight). i think some have an disadvatage of 400-500 points compared to others...

I am sure that I'm not one of those guys. Can't be sure now, since I got back in the top 10 and I barely see the guys ahead of me on the list but before, I was wining against higher ranked players and would get only 12 points for that. So basically, there are players who are higher ranked for no reason but will get the rewords associated with that rank. Sounds unfair! :(
I know I'm not one of those guys who "got points back".
I've fought my way up from 1500pts to +2100pts.. then again from 1900 to +2100pts... and a third time from 1900 to +2100pt again. All at only 10 ic per win. Sitting on roughly an 85/35 WL ratio... still just barely peeking into the 250 ranks and a bit over 2200pts again..... Anticipating another reset to 1900pts at any time. To be frank, I'm wondering if there is point this week? I could do more but.. well.. it's reset on me like 3 or 4 times and all that effort was diminished (not lost because I did get 10ic per win).
(What's up with The Prisoner not disabling the perfect hit passive on Kaz's Dessert Marauder? that team's a beast due to this.)

I think there is a disadvantage when thinking about the balance of games. If a guy who finished Warlod last week, and when he resolves, naturally faces other players who are in the same rank or close, there would be no harm to anyone. But that's not the case: a large part of the players fell to the 1500 score, making players with strong teams and relics cope with super weak teams. If that was to their advantage, it was awful for those players who are struggling to reach a good rank at the end of the week to receive their few rewards. If that were not enough, I even lost a certain 400-point rank for free, which would clearly be a big competitive disadvantage if I had enough to be a competitive player. What is the merit of achieving a high position in the arena if it was due to an apparently random glitch?
These bugs only benefit a small percentage of the players, so it's bad and should be fixed. Another point is that this is one more justification for great players of the past have simply abandoned the PvP and consequently the game (I will not name names, everyone knows who they are).

I had over 5000 points and was reset to 1500. Finished 5th place last week and was dropped to 3000 something after reset. Many battles against players ranked higher, and only received 12 points. Not buying that isn’t a disadvantage. Anyway hope you guys figure it out ASAP.

To be clear, I don't mean to imply that we're not fixing issues relating to the Arena. To reiterate, we do have a programmer working on investigating and resolving problems relating to Arena VP problems.
Some people are seeing VP jump in an unusual manner is news to me, and I have passed that info along to the team.
