Did you use a trooper? Not sure if it's fixed yet but before using a trooper was messing with mission awards. Other than that, not sure.

seems DDs attack works fine, but i really found a bug with him: for some reasons all of my chars are stripped from time to time when facing him not only 1-2.
happend while testing my defense and saw it vs others too (all 4 attackers have special talismans buffs ofc):

Thanks for the info and screenshot. I've passed that along to QA to try and verify, but interestingly, one of the combat programmers says he thinks he may have fixed this for the next update... so maybe it'll be good? I'll try to see if we can double-check this scenario before we submit the update so we at least know.
Can you let me know what passives should have been on your team if the Death Dog hadn't removed them? (feel free to PM me directly if you don't want to expose your attacker setup in a forum post)
Not happy to read these, but it is what it is, the situation might improve, my friend, I have high hopes for Halloween...:) Speeding the use of troopers should be a top priority!
But MACLO15..?? That's odd, I've played daily through BNW dungeons since the release, and I've never got such error... just freezes. All the time.
So hopefully these will fix the hangs/freezing that can occur in BNW with toons that have shields or revive like GCR?
I've had the same issue with Clarivoyant, but also where if she gains beneficial effects such as immunity or shields from an ally, her fury then removes them. Its like its doing a "cleanse" of good effects. I'm using Life Talismans so not sure if that is having an impact or not, or if its just purely because she has been revived.
OK, so 9 people in last week's top 25 had an Astra on their defense. Still not even a majority, and basically flat with the current week's numbers.
And no, we still do not have plans on changing the current Arena structure.
There is one confirmed case I know we're fixing that relates to Brave New World, and there is some general combat system improvements which should fix some other cases. There are still other cases relating to shields and/or reviving that we're investigating, though. The situation should be improved, but may not be fully solved for everyone.
I'll make note of that to be checked with the bug ticket in our system.
Sparton, Are you guys taking into consideration all the complaints about trooper Eddie? Seriously, we've been waiting for him since the beginning of the game... Him specifically.

How about top10 def win rates from top 50 last week? How many use Astra?
She is a lv 4 that removes buffs AND stuns (apparently with 100% chance) with basic attack. Basic attack is also AoE, and true damage btw. Mandatory 3 purples so she can pack immortality too... CG is a 5 and got nerfed to oblivion for much less than that.... come on, that toon is too strong as it is.
I don't like nerfs, but some toons are released with too much advantage compared to others, and so makes too much of a difference sometimes, like wrath and prisoner before him. Astra is on that category as well.
(oh, she also has a passive that prevents marks, doom and curse...)

There are plenty of responses from both me and Kaz (primarily Kaz) in another thread on that subject.
It would be much harder for me to get that kind of info right now, so that's not something I can answer at this time (I also don't know if I have that level of detail I can dredge up without getting a query from a programmer, and those guys are super busy right now).
Still, if the top players who user her have the best win rates, they'd have to have like.... 6x better win rates than everyone else in the leaderboard that uses her consider how low her average defense win rate is, which seems really unlikely. We know people who are at the absolute top of the leaderboard can only be there with good hold rates, but I while she can be great in the right hands with the right Talismans, I doubt there's that much of a discrepancy.
We're going to keep an eye on her, but there's already some bug fixes we know we're shipping with the next update that mitigate some of her power (certain passives being flagged wrong, allowing her to stun more often), and there's other bug fixes we're needing to investigate too. In addition, there's other things that'll be released soon that will also speak to countering some of what she does...
You obviously know I'm following that thread, and that does not answer my question at all.
One more time, I'll make it a multiple choice answer to make it easier.
Q: Are the complaints being taken into consideration?
A: "Yes, we are considering a change in our original plans."
B: "No, we are not considering a change in our original plans."
The answer, in this case is C: "We will present the "full" plan with all relevant details when the feature is finally announced."
The plan will generally be the same direction as mentioned in prior threads, but there are some details around dupe control that will be sorted out and more presentable by then, which largely affects how soon and in what fashion you can expect to choose your characters from those souls.

With all due respect, I don't know how you can make the argument about defenses and win rates when the Wrath is literally everywhere right now. Or DaveMurray talking about purple beast as if the other two purple beasts weren't more prevalent.
I don't have Wrath and I use purple val as a substitute. You do have him. If I thought the chances of me getting either of them in the future were the same, I'd swap places in a heartbeat. The guy is just really effin strong.
But do I complain and ask for a nerf? No, I just deal with it. In fact, since he started showing up PvP is the most fun it's been in ages. Revamped my whole offense, had to think long and hard about who to shard and talismans, etc. That's a good thing.
Purple val too requires some changes. You can't just show up with the same ol team, pile on the beneficials and expect an easy win. But she's very beatable, like Sparton says. I'm sure you know that.
As for 5 star vs four, that's not really an argument in this game. There are other 4 stars better than most 5 stars: Gunner Dog, Navigator, SSD, Harpy, WUR, GCR are all out there in numbers, or in the old days AoF and Red Pyro. My guess is they wanted to keep all Valkyries the same rather than represent their value accurately.

I'd trade my Wrath for your Astra. I believe she is more powerful then he is, plus you get 25% chance to get him on each Eternal soul and, as for Astra, you need to be really lucky.
90 events souls brought me ZERO of those Valkyries, not sure I'll ever land her, even she being a lv 4.
I do think lv5 toons should be more powerful then lv 4 btw, they more rare and should make more of a different imo.
Maybe what is wrong with her is that she is stunning more than she should... they are gonna fix that as Sparton pointed out, we'll see.
I don't like to call out nerfs, but sometimes one toon makes too much of a difference. Like during old Prisoner days, everyone that got Eternal since BETA had him until I got my first, and that was after the nerf. (maybe killhouse did not have him of the very first week of BETA as well, not sure).
And I have Wrath and called a nerf on him when he was removing beneficial effects with 75% chance. That was ridiculous.
Not calling a nerf because I don't have her, I'd do it anyways, and I don't need her to win, I got eternal last week, also I beat teams with her all the time too, that is also not an issue...
I just think she is too much compared to others. And definitely does an impact on defense numbers.

Gmac -- I agree with the second part, hence the qualifier, but I don't agree with the first. The Wrath is significantly stronger, that power move is typically how I lose and removing *all* beneficials including immunity is a big deal.
As I mentioned, that's just not the case in this game and there are significant deviations. The four stars I mentioned are a big deal, whereas Shaman, the CotD's and PDK are nowhere to be seen. And she is rare so as you say she should make a difference. And (see Sparton) I believe you are over-estimating her impact on defences particularly compared to Wrath.

I do think the true damage on basic attack maybe why I'd prefer her over Wrath, oh, and plus she stuns everybody... but I don't have her and you don't have Wrath so, maybe we just want what we don't have... lol
Sparton did not check the numbers... maybe I'm wrong, who knows... but I find her more difficult to deal than Wrath, again I have Wrath, so I'm used to that toon, maybe that also explains why I perceive things this way.
As 4 x 5 I think as an example ACoTD should be more powerful then Astra, not the case as you said, I just believe it should be.
What I really wish is that they checked toons prior to release, if Astra was working properly, maybe we wouldn't be talking about nerfs. Like what happened to Wrath when he was released too.

I wanted an answer from any of the Dev's about this discussion of Valkyrie Purple.
At some time in a group there was a discussion about the acc up of the defense, in several battles already I caught opponents loaded with buffs and not stunn anyone. In contrast to Valquira's opponents' match at least two will sleep a little. Same thing I notice in the Undead Rescue (red buzz) it's hard to take away from the adversaries' flu.
My question .. Does the AI of defense take any more percentage of Accuricy than attack?
for me both are clear game changer and defense booster. if you don't have em you have a hard time competing with the rest.
so i think it's out of line when those lucky guys who have the 3 premium chars (vhe/wrath/astra) in game have such a big advantage over the rest. ofc there should be better toons who should help you with your defense but:
if you compare a normal 15% defense with a premium 38% valk defnese this an extremly big deal. most of this boost are due to one valkyrie which makes her too strong. wrath defenses don't have such a huge advantage (as long as you don't pair two of them --> hi nicko :D )...
look at the powermove of the valk, permadeath and healblock for 5 power along with buff removal and stunning for a basic attack and a nice passive too for a 4* hentai chick?
i would take her over wrath every time although he is clearly better for farming PVE (but who cares for that).

Sorry guys but I do not agree with your thoughts about the "All powerful Purple Valkyrie".
I have my own on defense, but my defense is actually 24% with about 1 or 2 victories over 10 attacks, and it's falling down... Like chorus on Man on the edge song...
I also have no such pain defeating teams with her on defense, just bring a immune GPD, Hellhound or Artillery Dog, and you're done.
I'm not a fan of nerfings, instead, improving actual skills of not so used chars or bring new ones seems the right choose for me.
Yeah, some chars are game changers, but if not the actual ones, others will be, so complaining about that is pointless

It sounds very good, what you wrote. The most trooper points you can get is 2500 a day, what you normally don't get. The best I had so far were badges from 49 of my 50 troopers. So normally I get something around 2250 per day.
What I want to say is, that I'll keep around 30.000-35000 badges and spend the rest for skillshards.

Well from info that we collect it doubles the normal holds of good players, so we are talking about >35%. But ofc if you can get those rates we can be more sure.
Please ask the devs to swap my Wrath for your purple val. :D
To tell you the truth i obtained Wrath a few days ago but i still can't find a proper use for him in my offence/defence teams. Maybe it's just because i am used to him and i found him weak. Ofc he can still cause me troubles in a fight but it's a one in a thousand attacks.
He is a good char compared to others but he just can't be compared to the purple val.
His basic move is not true damage so shields can destroy you, deals small dmg and remove buffs with a normal probability(since that multi hits thing in the previous update was fixed he truly is on a 45% to remove buffs atm). His power move is very good and he has no passive. On the other hand AoE true damage with very good amount of damage that remove buffs with better proc than wrath and also stuns. Power move is again true damage with heal block, permadeath and perfect corruption and her passive that grants immunity to all team for curse, marks and doom.
Last but not least as G pointed in a previous post she is impossible to get if you didn't get her from the "supposingly better drop rates" BNW souls. You will get Wrath eventually though, even after 10 dupes.
Maybe the bug fixes will be enough to even her powers, we'll see.
It feels that it does but devs nvr answered to that.
Let's not forget that the right talis and the right toons and Eddie are needed for hold rates of >35% like some players have with her.
Unfortunately i don't remember your defence lineup but i witnessed others pairing her with Wrath f.e. and that's ridiculous, it's like removing her from your team because Wrath almost always go first and remove buffs so she can't do anything with her basic move.
To sum it up, my opinion is that she is OP, most of the players that have her say that she isn't and i am fine with it.
There are ways to counter her ofc as there are ways to counter every toon and Eddie. Let's keep in mind though that not all of us have every available toon so not everyone can counter her and that's why we see defences with >35% hold rates.
I don't mind if she is left as she is but i wan't more toons like her and soon if this is the new meta cause atm she can solo a whole team.
demoon, you are an excellent day one player and a sharp mofo, so i'm not surprised that you don't have problems with her. i guess most forum guys have found something around her. but let's take an average joe.

and well 24% is still very nice compared with poor mans 5-15%. and some guys have >35%...so i think it's too much of a difference.
Newcomers actually have things even easier, they start the game with a green Harpy which is already a nice counter to the new purple girl since she can't get stunned, Hellhound and GPD aren't hard to get neither... I think that if you are too lazy to prepare your team before a fight, you can lose even again a team with a Blocker using endure if you don't go with a buff remover, or go without immunity against a team which has the corrupt General, or don't bring a cleanser against a Magus CR... I can't see any difference.
Personally I think that if you start a nerfing wheel it will run over Alliance General, Green Harpy, Wrath, Vampire Eddie, Nomad etc, so, again, I'm completely against unnecessary nerfs...
Talking about defense, mine's at 23% now, tomorrow will be <= 20% for sure, and that's my average defense % even before Wrath or the purple girl...
I got 2 questions if anyone can help me out.
1) Is anything wrong with Death Dog? I just had a fight that i went first and i had all my buffs removed from 4 chars.
2) Is the problem with extra turns on toons that occured when they tried to implement a limit on echo tali fixed?
eccho talisma is weird. I'm not using it in pvp, just in BnW in GD and this hard to get extra turn. And a detail .. he by default is already proc 25% chance of extra without shards .. and mine is using eccho.
For those issues that I raised and more that I had forgotten that I wanted a clearer response from dev as with acc of defense.
Purple Hentai is NOT overpowered. She is easily countered.
put some immunity talismans on your characters, bring an artillery or hellhoud, don't have any of those? a GPD! everyone should have one by now.
He can 1) Cleanse your stunned characters or 2)heal and give immunity to your whole team!
The game is becoming more about strategy and finding out how to counter XYZ characters, and that's how it should be.
And no, I do not have her yet.
I am having more problems with the green general guy with counterstrike, he's a really pain in the butt
Sentinels in general always proc more when it comes to counter strike,at least that has been my experience. Seems like green harpy, SSD, and AG counter almost guaranteed.
I also had used Viking in pvp for a while and when I would steal counter he seemed to proc any time he was touched.
All other classes seem to proc near the 35% but for whatever reason the greens seem to be double that.
